Luxurious 2004 Cadillac Srx Suv, Runs Well, Low Reserve on 2040-cars

Year:2004 Mileage:146500
Location:

Monroe Township, New Jersey, United States

Monroe Township, New Jersey, United States

The car has been my daily driver for the past 2.5 years and can serve in the same role for you as well. It has a NJ inspection sticker that is good through December 2015.  I am selling since I am getting a new car.  The car runs well and the engine and transmission appear fine.  The miles are mostly highway.  The oil has been changed on a regular basis using Mobil 1 Synthetic.  The car comes with a set of snow tires, in addition to the all season radials currently on the car.

Car is loaded with many options including Panoramic Sunroof, Bose Stereo Sound System, Leather Seats, 3rd Row Seat, Heated Seats, Rear Parking Sensors, Running Boards, Roof Rack, Alloy Wheels, AC, PS, ABS PB, Cruise Control, Dual and Side Airbags, Rear Wheel Drive, V6, Automatic, Retractable Cargo Cover.

New items in the past 2.5 years include battery, brakes, radiator, condenser, windshield wipers, and tires.

As noted above the car has been my daily driver, but has some minor issues, such as the following: The interior is a bit worn since it is 10 years old.   There are some minor scratches on the car, but overall the paint is in good condition.  The Bose Stereo Sound System and Radio works great, but the 6 CD Player works only intermittently.

Reserve is low for a car of this quality.  The car cost almost $50,000 when new. It looks great and attracts a lot of attention for an SUV. Test drive welcome for prospective buyers who can drive to NJ.

Weekly Recap: Auto execs face life in prison for recall delays under proposed legislation

Sat, 09 Aug 2014

The stiff punishments are part of broader transportation legislation, but clearly McCaskill has automakers in her sights.
Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill threw down the gauntlet this week, proposing a bill that could send auto executives to prison for life if they were found to have delayed a recall. She also wants to eliminate the limit for fines for auto safety violations, which are currently capped at $35 million.

How GM's grueling 24-hour test gets the kinks out of its performance cars

Tue, 27 Aug 2013

One of the biggest challenges automakers face when designing a high-performance car is making sure that it is both fast and reliable. For General Motors, any car that might be taken to the track by its owner - like the Corvette, Camaro Z/28 (shown above) and the Cadillac CTS-V, for example - undergoes a rigorous and strenuous 24-hour test by engineers at the Milford Proving Grounds, as pointed out by Car and Driver.
We've posted on this topic in the past - on a video showing the Camaro ZL1 being brutalized, for instance - but this article gives a more in-depth look at what actually happens behind the scenes... including what that poor ZL1 went through. Though the test isn't for 24 hours straight, the cars are pushed as hard as possible by some of GM's best drivers with only the brakes and tires replaced frequently.
We don't want to ruin the fun for you, but it is an interesting article that tells just some of what GM does to develop its sports cars. Check out the full article over at Car and Driver for the rest of the story.
