I need to sell my MINI Clubman S, my favorite car ever (and I have been driving for 50 years), because I have to get a vehicle capable of towing loads.

I am the original owner. It has been meticulously maintained. It has a new PA inspection good til 10-15. It is totally current on recommended service including new oil and filter all performed by Otto’s in Exton (all records are avail. for review).  It has never gotten less than 32 mpg (full disclosure-burns premium fuel).  It is a  6 speed manual (the only way to go on a MINI) and,if you are reading this you probably already know they handle like a go-kart.

What follows is a list of features and photos but I have a lot more I can tell you about this car and many more pix to share if you are interested.  COLOR: Hot Chocolate Body, Black Roof, Mirrors and Rear C-pillar Trim.  PERFORMANCE: 172 hp Turbo Charged Direct Injected 16 Valve Engine, Dynamic Stability Control, Limited Slip Differential, ABS, Corner Brake Control, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Tire Pressure Monitor, Push Button Ignition, Alloy Wheels (I got rid of the stock run flat tires for better performance and now carry a spare tire) Front & Rear Fog Lamps. SAFETY: 6 airbags including side curtains, CONVENIENCE PACKAGE: Comfort Access System (no key needed, fob stays in your pocket), Bluetooth and USB, Universal Garage Door Opener, Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror, Rain Sensor and Auto Headlamps.  COLD WEATHER PACKAGE: Heated Powerfold Mirrors & Washer Jets, Heated Front Seats COCKPIT: SIRIUS Satellite Radio, Leather/Cloth Sport Seats, Center Arm Rest (flips out of the way), Brushed Alloy Interior Surface Accents, Automatic Climate Control, Park Distance Rear Alarm, Leather Sport 3- Spoke 3-Spoke Tilt/Telescoping Steering Wheel w/Multifunction, 10-Speaker Hi-Fi Sound System and Hi-Definition Radio.  GENUINE ACCESSORIES:  Mud Flaps Front and Rear axle, "Cooper S" Rubber Floor and Boot Mats, Hot Chocolate Leather: Steering Wheel, Shift Knob and Boot and E-Brake Handle and Boot, MINI Windshield Sunscreen.  Of course has the cool rear “barn doors,” and one touch power windows.

Our favorite mid-engine Corvette theories and rumors

Tue, Sep 13 2016

The mid-engine Corvette! We just saw blurry photos through the foliage, and are hearts are all aflutter because it means that this car is real. And it's the most " never before" Corvette since 1984. Which leads us to all kinds of wacky theories and speculation. Everybody knows something or heard from a guy. None of those guys (or gals) from GM are talking to Autoblog, to be clear. But that won't stop us from stirring the pot. Let's go over a few point-by-point. The pushrod engine will be replaced by an overhead-cam V8 Car and Driver has repeatedly reported that an overhead-cam engine will come after the mid-engine Corvette's debut with an old-school pushrod. We've heard the same thing firsthand, albeit from a source with no connection to the development of the Corvette or powertrain. "At some point two valves can't pass future emissions regulations," said the guy we know. While the pushrod engine is compact, the design makes it difficult - if not impossible - for sophisticated variable valve timing (and lift) systems that control combustion with more precision. Hasty conclusion: The pushrod engine has a finite life in front of it. This one's a lock, it's a just a matter of when. Bowling Green's new paint shop is really the mid-engine assembly line Credit to Reddit for this one. Like we said, everybody knows a guy. But let's look deeper. The new paint facility costs $439 million dollars and adds 450,000 square feet, almost half the size of the existing plant. Plus GM announced another $290 million in upgrades at Bowling Green Assembly. That sure sounds like a lot of money, but you can actually spend that much on a paint booth. Porsche spent 500 million Euros (about $561 million dollars) to add the Macan assembly to its Leipzig, Germany plant in 2014. Chrysler shelled out $850 million for a paint shop in Sterling Heights, Michigan. GM spent $600 million for a new paint shop at the Fairfax (Kansas City) plant. Honda, on the other hand, is working on a thrifty $210 million project in Marysville, Ohio that includes a 300,000 square foot expansion, and the low-volume Acura NSX facility only cost $70 million. Hasty conclusion: The square footage and cost could easily mean a new assembly line instead of (or in addition to) a paint line. And if the NSX plant was really that cheap, GM could have hidden a similar sum in its existing announcements.

Cadillac scraps three-row CUV plans

Fri, 23 May 2014

Crossovers are one of the hottest automotive segments on the planet. Apparently, the idea of mixing the practicality of a station wagon with the looks of an SUV appeals to people whether they are in Cleveland or Shanghai because nearly every automaker is jumping into the market. So it was no surprise when early rumors suggested Cadillac was planning two, new CUVs to fit above and below the SRX. But things might have changed since then.
New rumblings indicate Caddy is taking a different route. Instead of two crossovers, only the compact is on the way, and the larger, three-row CUV on the Lambda platform to sit between the SRX and Escalade may be a goner. According to Ward's Auto, General Motors thinks that the other three-row, Lambda vehicles like the Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia compete too closely with the proposed Cadillac. The decision comes fairly close to the 2017 intended production date.
As far back as 2010, this Lambda-platform based CUV was considered highly likely for production. However, Cadillac Senior Vice President Bob Ferguson was somewhat cooler about it when he discussed the new crossover briefly last year. He said the model could use the Escalade name, despite its unibody chassis, but no decision had been made yet to actually produce it.

Cadillac abandons plans for six-digit flagship sedan

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

So much for that party. Cadillac has announced that it is walking away from plans to build a high-dollar, rear-wheel-drive ultraluxury sedan. The low-volume model would have been based on the lusty Ciel Concept, and the production iteration would have carried a price tag well over $100,000. Executives with the automaker reportedly claim the model wouldn't have bolstered the brand enough to be worth the investment.
Even so, Automotive News reports Cadillac is still on track to build a range-topping four-door to go head-to-head with the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. That model will likely be constructed on the company's upcoming Omega rear-wheel-drive platform, but we won't see it bow until at least 2016. Right now, the front-wheel-drive XTS sits at the top of the Cadillac lineup, and while that machine and it's twin-turbocharged V6 variant makes a compelling argument against certain luxury entries, it falls short serving as a legitimate competitor for the likes of the 7 Series and S-Class for enthusiast drivers.
