2004 Cadillac Srx Sport Utility 4 Dr 3.6l V6 Dohc 5 Speed Automatic on 2040-cars
Cumming, Georgia, United States
The Cadillac SRX is a distinctive luxury crossover that serves up equal doses of refinement and exhilaration. From its bold exterior design to the subtle elegance and style to the heated and ventilated seats, the SRX is pure Cadillac. Alas after waiting all my life to get my first Cadillac, all be it an older one, now I must let it go. So I'm offering my 2004 Cadillac SRX Sport Utility, 4 DR 3.6L DOHC, 5 Speed to the highest bidder. For those of you who have driven a Cadillac, you are familiar with the comfort and road worthiness that you can expect from a car like this. Those who haven't yet had that pleasure have missed out. Options include Tilt Steering, Power Seats, Power Windows, and Power Door Locks, Heated Seats, Cruise Control, Keyless Entry, Duel Climate Control, Leather Seats, AM/FM Radio w /cd Player, Satellite Radio, OnStar, and 3rd Row Seating. Safety Features include, Anti Theft, Back Up Warning, and both Driver and Passenger Airbags. This car dives and rides beautifully both in town and on the highway. It provides that big car comfort in a car that is not really that big. But with its rack and pinion steering, front and rear disc brakes, independent front and rear suspension, and front and rear coil springs, it is a dream to drive. The SRX is an extremely versatile vehicle with its ability to provide seating for 5 with some cargo space; or with the 3rd row seat up, 7 with a little cargo space; or by dropping the back seat, 2 with lots of cargo space. There is nothing prettier than a black car (when it's clean), as you can see from the pictures of this 2004 Cadillac SRX. It looks brand new. Of course it's not. And if you get up close you will see many tiny rock chips on the front, hood, and on the side mirrors, Aside from that the paint is in pretty good shape. The upholstery is also good except for the drivers seat which show wear from use, but no rips or tears. Lots of life left. The tires are Bridgestone with a 65,000 Mile Limited Warranty. They have 17,652 Miles on them now. |

Cadillac rushing update for laggy CUE infotainment system
Tue, 05 Feb 2013BMW's innovative iDrive was introduced in 2001, and a dozen years later, automakers are still learning hard lessons about what consumers want in their infotainment systems. In response to owner feedback - and a few media drubbings - about the delayed and occasionally fickle responses of its CUE (short for Cadillac User Experience) system, Cadillac has told Wired that it's going to issue an update this year.
Coming for the XTS and ATS, the new software will mean quicker haptic feedback to driver inputs on the touchscreen and the buttons, and snappier responses on screen. Down the road, Cadillac's VP of marketing says that a different mix of screen controls and hard buttons is "something you'll be seeing in the future" - the system is presently a mix of touchscreen-based controls and capacitive-touch switchgear - there are no knobs or physical pushbuttons to speak of, and the omission of both has proven to be a divisive issue among consumers and industry pundits.
Cadillac hasn't provided a date for when the CUE update will be issued, but it has indicated that the service will be performed by dealers, not sent wirelessly.

Chinese-made Cadillac CT6 Plug-In starts US sales
Thu, Apr 13 2017General Motors has started US sales of the Cadillac CT6 Plug-In after taking its first domestic deliveries of the China-produced sedan last month. The model is GM's first new plug-in hybrid in the US since the automaker discontinued sales of the ELR extended-range plug-in last year. The arrival and sales, first reported by InsideEVs, were confirmed by Cadillac spokesman Andrew Lipman. Not surprisingly, the sedan isn't cheap, as the CT6 Plug-In is priced at $75,095, or almost $12,000 more than the gas-powered variant, though that figure doesn't include federal and state tax credits for electric vehicles. For that tab, buyers get a 335-horsepower luxury car that can go 31 miles on electricity alone, and 0-60 miles per hour in a little over 5 seconds. The model gives GM three plug-in vehicles to sell to the American public, or the same number US competitor Ford offers. InsideEVs estimates that about 100 of the sedans have been delivered to US dealers, so the car remains a relatively low-volume affair. By comparison, GM's Chevrolet division has sold 5,563 Volt extended-range plug-ins and 3,092 Bolt electric vehicles through March. Cadillac sold 534 units of the ELR in 2016 after moving 1,024 the previous year. GM opted to produce the plug-in hybrid in China because of that country's receptiveness to new models that feature alternative and environmentally friendlier powertrains. Additionally, such production shortens the distance to the CT6's battery maker LG Chem, which is producing the car's battery packs in South Korea. On that note, GM has previously estimated that the Cadillac CT6 Plug-In will move more units in China than in the US. Related Video:
