Greetings to All!! imotors is quite pleased to offer possibly one of the nicest 1962 Cadillac Fleetwoods Available anywhere! This is an unrestored, estate fresh example that has lived in the sunny state of Florida it's entire life! We were very lucky to be able to acquire it from the estate of the long time collector owners family! We have extensive documentation indicating long term ownership dating back to the late seventies, along with many many years of service history!! Truly a cherished and babied member of the family!! Cadillac lovers everywhere get weak in the knees when one like this becomes available.
Our 1962 Fleetwood is as special as you will ever find!! This is an 85% original paint car that has NEVER been restored!! It is exactly as it left the factory in 1962!! When we acquired it a few months back there were several small dings and dents on the right front fender and door, along with the hood. Probably storage damage, as it was confined to those three areas. These three panels have been expertly repaired and refinished. Then the entire car received a good buffing and polishing...That's all!!! What you will see in the many photos below is the result. This is one Gorgeous Caddy!!! It is as original as they come, with the paint meter telling us that we were the first ones to "Break" the paint! Yes, it is thin in some spots from the many years of polishing and waxing, but is just Beautiful!!! There is some light pitting on some of the chrome, mainly the door handles, and some of the window trim, but hardly noticeable, and is certainly expected on a 52 year old original car!.
Inside is Maroon Cloth and is also totally original with some very light fading here and there. Also, the wood on the doors is slightly delaminating, and could use refinishing. Everything is working correctly, including Ice Cold Air Conditioning. It has a six way power seat, Autronic Eye, AND a power operated trunk release and pull down. All 8 power windows work with ease. As usual, the front and rear vents need a "push". The power antenna goes up and down, and the tube type AM signal seeking radio still sounds fantastic!!
Mechanically. Our Fleetwood runs and drives like a Dream! It floats down the road on that special Cadillac cloud that we all know and love, with no unpleasantries noted. I have posted a photo below of the last service invoice dated January 2009, and about 1000 miles ago. It includes belts and hoses, and a major tune up, along with an almost complete Air Conditioning overhaul.
This could be a once in a lifetime find!!!!! Certainly qualifies with ease for AACA HPOF!! If you have been looking for that special Cadillac, take a look at the 75 photographs below and see the actual pristine condition of this One of A Kind Fleetwood Sedan.....
By bidding you agree to all terms set forth below.
Many Thanks for Your Interest! Good Luck with Your Bidding!! |

Our Burgundy Fleetwood was purchased new on Sept. 12, 1962 at Daytona Motor Co.
Note the Corrosion free rear view mirror, and gorgeous stainless trim...A true Testament to Fair weather exposure Only!
The attention to detail back then was amazing!
The Original Burgundy Paint Just Glistens in the sun. Pretty much the same way it did 52 years ago!! A few minor nicks, dings, and scratches from normal usage, but certainly nothing to deter from the Beauty and Originality of This Beautiful Fleetwood!!
Note the absence of rust.....No winters in Florida! |
Nice and Straight.....Bright and Shiny!!!
You can tell by the condition of the Original paint that this Beauty was Always Garaged and Pampered!! |
There is some VERY light pitting on the center section of rear bumper.
I would guess that this was a 1 person vehicle. The condition of the interior, especially the lack of wear would be a good indication! My guess is that no one ever sat here!!
None of the typical bumper end "Rot"!
I believe that this was one of the most Luxurious Cadillacs ever built. Everywhere you look there is a special attention to detail and craftsmanship!!
Just like it was back in 1962
You can tell it's a Fleetwood!
WOW.......Just Magnificent!
No rust or rot here either!
The wood has a bit of delaminating on the top of all 4 doors.
EIGHT power windows!
The sumptous
interior is in fantastic condition and is certainly commensurate with
the low mileage and excellent care our Gorgeous Caddy has seen throughout
its 52 year life. It is totally original with no dying or repairs done
anywhere. |
Zero door jamb rust or scale......Fair weather and Garaged!
Truly a Pampered and Pedigreed Fleetwood....Just like it looks in the factory showroom brochure(photo below)!!
True Luxury.......Cadillac.......Standard of the World!!
No cracks in the padded dash. Note the Autronic Eye!
Under the hood is basically original. The engine has had some minor touch up during routine servicing, as noted in the repair records!
The Air Cleaner housing has been powder coated in Satin Black. The decal is on order.
Note recent belts and hoses.

Americans are used to paying for subscriptions — to magazines and cable television, for instance — but experience shows they'll cancel when the price of admission gets too high, or there are more tempting alternatives. Cord cutters ditched nearly 1.5 million pay-TV subscriptions in 2017, according to a survey by Leichtman Research Group. Cable TV started out cheap with basic offerings, and then got expensive. The auto industry's subscription offerings are new, but they're starting out costly, and not price-competitive with traditional leasing. The upside is that they take the hassle out of car ownership for busy people by letting the service take care of maintenance, insurance, licensing and taxes. And they give consumers choice, often allowing relatively painless switches between different cars in the automakers' lineup. Subscription services also point the way toward an ownership-free auto experience, and offer an easy transition to a potential world where ride- and car-sharing will be dominant. Subscriptions are here to stay, but consumers may take a while to "get" them. Lincoln's subscription service for lightly used 2015 to 2017 models, offered through the Ford-owned Canvas beginning this year, got off to a slow start. Many early subscribers canceled. Last month, Cadillac announced it would " temporarily pause" its $1,800-per-month Book subscription service for "adjustments" as of December 1. According to the Wall Street Journal, "Snags with the back-end technology used to support the service made some customer-service functions tedious and time-consuming, adding costs for the company." The challenge for automakers is to come up with a strategy that offers consumers a compelling, affordable option to regular ownership, and one that can also make a profit. I think they'll find that sweet spot, but they're not there yet. Jack Nerad, former executive editorial director at Kelley Blue Book and author of " The Complete Idiot's Guide to Buying or Leasing a Car," points out that "A lot of people expected that subscriptions would be very valuable for people who wanted inexpensive transportation, but the reality is quite the opposite. Subscriptions are offering more choices for the wealthy.

Vsport versions of the CTS and XTS sedans are all well and good, but what Cadillac enthusiasts have really been looking forward to is the arrival of the next full-on V model. And here we have it. Spied in the nude during an apparent photo shoot ahead of its anticipated debut at the fast-approaching Los Angeles Auto Show, the upcoming new Cadillac ATS-V Coupe is set to pick up where the old CTS-V left off, only in a more compact form. Unlike previous spy shots of heavily disguised prototypes, this final version is showing a chrome-framed mesh grille, along with a deep lower air dam with what looks to be a carbon-fiber front splitter. That bulging hood with heat extractor vents is tipped to be packing a twin-turbo V6 engine, breathing out of quad exhaust tips. The aggressive aero kit also encompasses side skirts, a reshaped rear bumper and a lip spoiler on the truck, while the upgraded rolling stock wears serious low-profile rubber and the brakes appear to be carbon-ceramic units. Peer through the window and you can even see the sport bucket seats with slots for racing harnesses. All of which suggests a serious American challenger to the BMW M4 and its ilk, and we're looking forward to seeing the vehicle in the metal in LA next month.

There will no doubt be endless ads touting the "first-ever" 2019 Lincoln Nautilus, which is accurate, but it's really just a mid-cycle update of an existing midsize luxury SUV attached to a greatly welcomed name change. Frankly, Lincoln could've called it the Diamond Jubilee Bill Blass and it would've been an improvement. Whatever. The MKX is dead. Long live the Nautilus. Now, speaking of SUVs with silly alphanumeric names, the 2018 Cadillac XT5 lines up remarkably well with the 2018 MKX. Besides hailing from American luxury brands, they have virtually identical exterior dimensions and similar standard engines as well. Cross-shopping seems assured. But what does the change to the 2019 Nautilus mean for how it compares to the XT5? Cosmetic changes might tweak exterior dimensions by a tenth of an inch here or there, but the interior should remain the same. The Nautilus gets a new engine, though, so check out our spreadsheet below to see if America's (and Canada's) luxury SUVs still stack up. Conclusions The switch to a turbocharged four-cylinder base engine means the XT5 and MKX/Nautilus are no longer on equal terms under the hood. While the Cadillac now has a considerable power advantage, the Lincoln Nautilus could save you hundreds every year based on its likely fuel economy (the 2.0-liter turbo engine, albeit with a different transmission, is in the mechanically similar Ford Edge). Besides the new engine for 2019, the Nautilus also gains an eight-speed automatic and an automatic stop start system. Both of those elements are already included on the XT5. It was announced that the 2019 Nautilus will start at $41,335, which compares to the base MKX at $39,960 and the 2018 Cadillac XT5 at $41,590. In other words, the Lincoln is still less expensive, but just barely. Standard feature content is also comparable, especially as the Nautilus gains standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which are already standard on the XT5. So really, no matter what they're called, the Cadillac and Lincoln should continue to be neck-and-neck competitors. 2019 Lincoln Nautilus Photos View 20 Photos 2018 Cadillac XT5 Photos View 28 Photos 2018 Lincoln MKX Photos View 57 Photos Related Video: Cadillac Lincoln Car Buying Crossover SUV Luxury Comparison consumer cadillac xt5 lincoln nautilus
