1993 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham W/ 68k Miles on 2040-cars

Second owner and have the original title from the purchaser in Brookline, MA. They traded in to a dealer there with a rod knock. I installed an engine of 1993 vintage (Chevrolet 5.7l) with several upgrades, including a brand new aftermarket intake and carburetor, fuel pressure regulator, headers and new exhaust w/ cat-delete, mild corvette camshaft. The car runs strong but sounds almost stock, and would really move with a set of heads, OR I have all the original TBI parts in the trunk in case the buyer would like to restore it to original. As it sits, you have to look carefully in the engine compartment to tell anything has been altered. CEL is on, naturally, and Traction control light. The body I'd conservatively rate at 7/10, and the interior at 8/10. The rear bumper has rust and should be replaced. No rust or rot or major dents, and the factory clearcoat is still very shiny. Carriage roof is great. Very pretty car, and a detailer/ body man could get it looking brand new with maybe $1k. Floors and frame solid. Tires 5/10. Be aware that this is a carburetor conversion and a gentleman's hot rod, or well on its way, at least. It runs great, but fuel mileage will be sacrificed for the performance of an LT-1 car. I have even ported a set of heads for it, but have not installed them and they are not included. I mention them to show where I was intending to take the vehicle--but I have lost storage and have to trim down the fleet, which breaks my heart. This is a VERY nice 1993 automobile but understand that it's still 21 years old and not perfect. |

2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV officially shown for the first time
Thu, Apr 23 2020When Cadillac originally debuted the 2021 Escalade at the beginning of the year, it held back on photos of the long-wheelbase ESV version of the truck. GM told us the ESV would be revealed in full at the New York Auto Show this year, a show that was promptly postponed due to coronavirus. However, that hasn’t exactly stopped us from seeing the ESV anyway. One of our spy shooters managed to capture a trove of images, showing the ESV without any camouflage. You can scroll through those below. 2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV Sport View 20 Photos At the top of this post sits the one official Cadillac image of the ESV — the other photos are from Cadillac's online visualizer tool. What a grand reveal! The Escalade pictured in front is the Platinum Luxury trim, and the one behind it is the Sport (or Sport Luxury Platinum). Just like we spied before, the main styling differences between the regular Escalade and ESV are minimal. Cadillac extended the rear door and massaged the C-pillar — itÂ’s thicker and leans at a sharper angle. Even before revealing the car in photos, Cadillac gave us all the specs. That was enough for an on-paper comparison between it and the Navigator, including the long wheelbase versions of both. The ESV is 15.9 inches longer than a standard Escalade, allowing for more third row legroom and additional cargo capacity. In other news, Cadillac says orders for the 2021 Escalade can be made today via its website. The system will put you in touch with a dealership to place your order. Those orders will begin arriving in dealerships this fall, according to CadillacÂ’s current plans. You can check out full model line pricing in our post detailing it all here. Related video:
GM extends production cuts, affects Cadillacs, Camaro and Acadia
Thu, Apr 8 2021General Motors is extending production cuts at some of its North America factories due to a chip shortage that has roiled the global automotive industry, the U.S. carmaker said on Thursday. The move's impact has been baked into GM's prior forecast that the shortage could shave up to $2 billion off this year's profit. GM's Lansing Grand River assembly in Michigan will extend its downtime through the week of April 26. The plant makes Chevrolet Camaros and Cadillac CT4 and CT5 sedans. It has been out of action since March 15. GM's Spring Hill assembly in Tennessee will shut down for two weeks starting the week of April 12. The plant makes the Cadillac XT5, XT6 and GMC Acadia. The company said it has not taken downtime or reduced shifts at any of its more profitable full-size truck or full-size SUV plants due to the shortage. The news was first reported by CNBC. Is Cadillac working on an ELR-V? [w/video]
Mon, 12 May 2014Could it be? Could Cadillac be working on an even higher-end version of its ELR plug-in hybrid? Well, General Motors' Executive Vice President Mark Reuss has gone on record as... well, not saying much. The exec was more than a bit coy on video (which you can view below) when asked about the idea of an ELR-V, although he did say that Cadillac was looking at "expanding the tuning envelope" for its plug-in coupe. What that means could be hinted at in these spy photos.
Cadillac is certainly up to something with this little red ELR. As is often the case, it's the car's enhanced brakes that give it away. Bigger binders are a telltale sign of sportier aspirations, and it's safe to say that rule applies with the ELR. The larger rotors and four-piston Brembo calipers are sourced from the Buick Regal GS, which we imagine would be plenty to bring the high-priced hybrid to a halt.
Obscuring those rotors and calipers are larger, double-armed five-spoke wheels. And, according to our spies, hiding behind that camouflage is a new grille. Outside of those two items, though, there's not much aesthetic change.
