1986 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, 22k, One Owner Miles!! As Good As It Gets!! on 2040-cars
Venango, Nebraska, United States
Selling My Wife's Grandmother's Caddy. This is as fancy as you could get in 1986 with the GOLD package including Wire wheels and Vogue tires. This Car was Purchased New By Her late husband in 1986. This Car has spent its entire life in a heated garage and only driven in summer months. With only 22 thousand original miles this is probably the nicest 86 Cadillac you will every come across. The only flaws being a couple of rock chips by the rear door from visiting my wife's parents who live down a gravel road. Other than that the interior and exterior are near perfect. Trunk looks like it was never used. If you like sitting on your couch at home you will love floating down the road in this car. Everything works like the day it was new. Has fresh clear Nebraska title and we can provide temporary permits for the drive home. Keep in mind the great looking tires appear fine, but they are originals. Pickup from the DIA shuttle in Sterling, CO or from the bus in Ogallala, NE is $50 to the driver. Car is stored inside and there is not a great hurry in picking it up. Insure it when you buy it. We do not charge extra to help load. If car goes over a month for pickup, it might get moved outside. Thanks, Nate Dodson.

Cadillac to vie for Secret Service armored car contract, new Beast?
Wed, 03 Jul 2013President Obama has used the same armored limo since his inauguration in 2008. Known by many as The Beast, the Presidential Limo was provided by Cadillac and earned its nickname in large part because of its massive size, which isn't surprising considering that its Caddy-shaped bodywork is said to sit atop a heavy-duty truck chassis.
It seems the Secret Service may be in the market for a Beast replacement, having issued a request for proposals for a new armored limo. According to Motor Trend, Obama's backup limo is a leftover from the Bush Administration, so it will be interesting to see if this new machine will serve as a replacement for The Beast or for its backup. The contract is to be awarded by September 29, 2013.
The boys from MT contacted Cadillac, Lincoln and Chrysler, and Chrysler is the only one that would confirm that it is not pursuing the contract. Cadillac may have the inside track, as it has provided Presidential limos since 1993, but Lincoln also has a long and storied history of chauffeuring the President.
Cadillac CT6 styling will be evolutionary, not like Elmiraj
Wed, Dec 17 2014Well, this is at least a little disappointing. It turns out Cadillac's long-awaited flagship, the CT6, won't be ushering in a wholesale change in the company's design. That's coming from GM Design guru Ed Welburn, meaning it should be taken as gospel (unless of course he's just trying to hoodwink us). "It'll be different and it will certainly stand out in the portfolio," Welburn told Automotive News. "But you won't see a real shift in direction." Instead, Art and Science will be shown in yet another new form, and will "continue to evolve," according to Welburn, although what that means is unclear. What we can say for certain, though, is that Art and Science on the CT6 will not evolve into the stunning Elmiraj Concept. "I think Elmiraj was more of an influence on some other things we're working on for Cadillac," Welburn said, we're guessing with a smirk and an air of mystery. Considering we have yet to see the CT6, it's hard to tell whether this will be good news or bad, although based on the critical reception to the Elmiraj, we're a little bit disappointed by Welburn's statements. Still, only time will tell whether the styling of the CT6 will really work out.
2015 Cadillac ATS-V gunning for the BMW M3
Mon, 03 Jun 2013Spy photographers have spotted something interesting. Cadillac engineers have taken to public streets with the upcoming ATS-V and a playmate: the current BMW M3 Sedan. The prototype seen here wears a more aggressive front fascia, flared fenders and beefy brakes. Quad exhaust tips and what looks to be a small lip spoiler on the trunk deck sum up the most obvious visual changes over the standard ATS outside. Word has it the ATS-V will bow with the same twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 available in the nose of the XTS. In that application, the engine is good for a stout 410 horsepower, which should be more than enough to hustle the sedan around a track.
Other details are still murky, however. First and foremost: will GM offer the ATS-V with an honest manual transmission, like it does with its big brother, the CTS-V? Something tells us we won't have long to wait to find out - the machine will likely bow next year as a 2015 model. Until then, dig in on our newest bevy of spy photos.
