Please Read The Entire Ad - Serious Bidders Only (I apologize for the terrible picture. I will have better ones.) The date on the picture is not accurate, problems w/camera Up for sale is My 1979 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Four Door Sedan The Body is in Excellent Condition, & is rust free. It is in very good solid condition. It needs the filler pieces in the rear on each side of the car. They can be ordered from Dothan Plastics & are very reasonably priced. It also has some unusual options such as automatic running lights, automatic door locks, when shifted into drive, & it also has 4-wheel disc brakes. Comes with some extra parts for the Purchaser that can be used as well. The interior is in very good condition for it's age. Like a living room sofa ! It is a Very Comfortable Interior, With only a minour rip on the driver's side. It could also use a headliner. The headliner is present, it just sags a little bit. The engine Does need some work. It starts & runs, However, it has "lifter noise". (This would be a very easy restore for anyone who has knowledge about these cars) The engine has good compression, & the transmission shifts the way that it should, very smoothly. The lifter noise should be attended too, & therefore would have to be shipped so as not to do any further damage to the engine. It would be shipped from zip code 14225. I would suggest The Auto Transport Group. 1-(877)-622-6130 It has an aftermarket AM/FM CD player that powers up, but does not play. The power antenna can be raised & lowered manually. This should be a very easy fix. The car has braking capabilities & has four wheel disk brakes. They do seem to be sticking somewhat, However, the car can still be driven onto & off of a car carrier without any type of difficulties. This is a Great Car to restore ! I just have too many other projects that I am trying to complete ! My loss is Your gain, & Is a Great Car to own, Comfortable, & Classy ! Don't pass this one up ! A $300 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT IS DUE WITHIN 72 HOURS OF THE AUCTIONS END...NO EXCEPTIONS WHATSOEVER....THE REMAINING FULL BALANCE IS DUE WITHIN 7 (SEVEN) DAYS OF THE AUCTIONS END...NO EXCEPTIONS WHATSOEVER. Cadillac picks Publicis as new agency of record, continues cutting ties with Campbell Ewald
Fri, Dec 5 2014Cadillac is setting itself up for major changes in the coming years with its decision to hire Johan de Nysschen as the brand's new boss and moving some of the staff to new digs in the trendy SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan. With those two big shifts in place, there's one more on the way with the company's announcement that Publicis Worldwide is now its global creative agency of record, effective immediately. The firm replaces former, long-time General Motors associate Campbell-Ewald; now a portion of Lowe and Partners. "This appointment is designed to accelerate the global expansion and elevation of Cadillac into a truly global luxury brand," said Cadillac Chief Marketing Officer Uwe Ellinghaus in the company's announcement. "We have spent much of this year refocusing on the core values of our brand." Although, some work may remain at Lowe and Partners for now. According to Cadillac spokesperson David Caldwell via email to Autoblog: "The bulk of work makes this shift. It is possible that maybe a small individual smaller project or two might still be handled by Lowe. Not certain yet." The fruit of this new partnership shouldn't take long to mature, either. "We will have substantially new marketing and brand identity work in early 2015." said Caldwell. According to Ad Age, Cadillac's advertising had been handled by Lowe and Partners, Campbell-Ewald in Detroit (now entirely part of Lowe) and Hill Holiday. Caddy had a relationship with the agency since 2013 but has changed firms several times in 2006. GM had a long collaboration with Campbell-Ewald, though. Chevrolet was its partner for nearly a century until the automaker also jumped to Publicis in 2010. The firm was responsible for campaigns like, "The Heartbeat of America", "Like A Rock" and "An American Revolution." Scroll down to read Cadillac's full announcement of the change. Cadillac Appoints Publicis Worldwide 2014-12-04 DETROIT – Cadillac announced today the appointment of Publicis Worldwide as its global creative agency of record. Publicis Worldwide is the largest creative agency of the Publicis Groupe network and its appointment to Cadillac is effective immediately. A fully dedicated team, comprising key managers from Publicis Worldwide, will lead the account and have access to specialist and premium resources within the larger Publicis Groupe.
Super Cruise will make 2018 Cadillac CT6 semi-autonomous
Mon, Apr 10 2017General Motors has been working on its semi-autonomous driving system for years. Called Super Cruise, it had initially been slated for a fall 2016 debut. Of course, something as critical to safety as a self-driving system should ideally have the bugs worked out before putting it in the hands of customers, and the launch date had to be pushed back. It appears that Super Cruise is road-ready now, as Cadillac has announced the system will be available in the 2018 CT6 sedan when it goes on sale this fall. Super Cruise offers hands-free driving on the highway, taking control of steering and speed under the supervision of the driver. An attention detection system – a camera and infrared lights that track head position – ensures that the driver is paying attention and is available to take over driving responsibilities. If needed, Super Cruise will initiate a series of nags, including a flashing light bar on the steering wheel, to regain the driver's attention. If the driver is unresponsive, the system can bring the car to a safe stop and use OnStar to call first responders. The system employs a suite of sensors, cameras, and GPS, as well as precision lidar-scanned map database, to place the car where it needs to be on the road and in the center of its lane. It only works if the sensors detect appropriate road conditions, and is limited to the more predictable terrain of divided highways with on- and off-ramps. Yes, it's limited, but safety is paramount, and drivers who spend a lot of time on the highway will appreciate the convenience nonetheless. Related Video:
