This is one
of the rarest of all Cadillac's. While The Fleetwood Brougham was the flagship
of Cadillac sedans, there was nothing that could touch the elegance, prestige,
and pure luxury of the Talisman. With its unique vinyl roof pattern, turbine
style wheel covers, Talisman emblems throughout, and the ultra plush Medici
cloth interior this Fleetwood was a statement above all others. Inside it
features twin captains chairs in front with a center console, writing table,
pen placement and special lighting. The ultra plush velour is on the seats,
trim and door panels. In the back there are magazine holders, and thicker
carpeting. The interior of this example is like new. There is no cracking on
the dash or steering wheel. All of the door panels show no cracking or wear.
The interior is absolutely magnificent. It’s all original and as close to
perfect as possible. Absolutely
stunning, the interior of this Fleetwood Talisman is nearly as new. It's quite
incredible how magnificent the interior of this car is. There literally no wear on the Medici cloth or any
surfaces. It’s something that has to be seen to be believed. Outside Commodore Blue paint is highly original. Showing barley any wear, it’s all
original with the exception of the bumper fillers. The body panels are
straight. The vinyl top, which is unique to the Talisman, is also perfect. Even
the chrome strip that borders the top to the body is intact with no corrosion. Extremely well equipped, accompanying the car is a copy of the original window
sticker. It will show that this car is fitted with factory fuel injection. It’s
very rare on these cars. The fuel injection adds performance as well as
efficiency. This Fleetwood Talisman has come to us from a Cadillac collector who owned many
of these fabulous cars. Having recently come out of storage, it has had major
reconditioning. The reconditioning is fully documented and available upon request. It is ready to be driven and enjoyed reliably. It's an 18,000-mile
car that is documented. It has an actual miles title. This is an opportunity to own a truly unique automobile that will never be
duplicated again. In time, these cars will go up in value and are sought after
by collectors. While most were not preserved, finding ones like this is almost
impossible. At Pedigree, we show cars by appointment only. Contact us to arrange your
private showing. We show cars by appointment, please call Ken Baker at 561-866-1601 to arrange a showing. Inspections on any of our cars for sale and welcomed and encouraged. Weekly Recap: Ford GT inspires guitar, foosball table, sailboat
Sat, Apr 18 2015Ford design vice president Moray Callum had just wrapped up a briefing on the interior of the Ford GT last month, but something seemed out of place. He grinned and pointed behind him, "You might be wondering why I have a boat behind me," he said mischievously. It was there because Ford set its designers on a mission to stretch and showcase their talents: design non-automotive objects inspired by the interior of the GT supercar. Callum received quite a response, too. His team produced a guitar, a foosball table (yeah bro!), a racing sailboat, a Wi-Fi speaker and some furniture. As the veteran design chief explained, "It's a really great exercise both to highlight our designers' talents, but also to really see how our design philosophy can work and how you can use it and get a common response back from a worldwide design team." Guitar View 25 Photos The objects have been on display this week at the Salone del Mobile furniture and fashion design fair in Milan, Italy, where Ford has had a presence for three years. There's also a light exhibition that apparently was inspired by the GT, as well. While this might seem a little far-fetched for the automaker, Ford said exhibitions like the Salone del Mobile give its designers another way to be creative and ultimately produce striking interior style. Ford wants this to be a differentiator, as research shows consumers are placing emphasis on the layout and features inside when they're making a decision about buying a new car. It's a little light hearted – but it's also potentially big business. Other News & Notes Cadillac CT6 platform could be used for Buick General Motors product chief Mark Reuss said the Cadillac CT6 platform could be used for a large Buick, though "not yet," Automotive News reported. The underpinnings can accommodate rear-wheel or all-wheel drive and would give Buick the large flagship it lacks. The report jibes with comments Reuss made at a roundtable with Autoblog and other reporters at the New York Auto Show. When asked if Buick had space for a large car on the CT6 chassis, he replied, "Yeah, I think it does. Yeah, I think we do." Buick has revamped its lineup in recent years with attractive crossovers and small and midsize sedans, but hasn't added the proverbial flagship that's yearned for by enthusiasts. Buick surprised industry observers with the stylish Avenir concept at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year that raised the possibility of a halo sedan.
Five awesome Lego car creations
Thu, 23 Oct 2014Lego cars are among our favorite toys. They're fun for play, and if built properly, great to display. With that in mind, we've crafted a list of some of the best creations we've seen. Some are on sale now, while others are merely the work of fanciful enthusiasts. There are even a couple that you definitely cannot buy (we'll explain).
Our choices are diverse, including everything from a diminutive 1969 Chevy Corvette to a fullsize Ferrari Formula One racecar. These are just five projects that caught our eye - there are many more out there - so if you don't see your favorite Lego car on the list (or if you have your own creation), please tell us about it, in Comments.
This 1969 Ford F-100 has a Cadillac CTS-V engine lurking underhood
Fri, Jan 30 2015Something always feels just a little taboo when someone builds a custom and then slots in a powertrain from a rival automaker. That's exactly the case with this modded 1969 Ford F-100 boasting a highly tuned LSA supercharged V8 like from the second-gen Cadillac CTS-V. However, with a claimed 800 horsepower on tap thanks in part to running an estimated 20 pounds of boost, it's easy to get over any bad feelings. Built by Tommy Pike Customs in South Carolina, the truck tries to keep the exterior looking somewhat stock. Although, the jade green and satin gold paint, Quaker State logo, lowered suspension and black wheels immediately suggest something is up. Once the F-100 starts up with its menacing growl, absolutely any doubts of this beast being unaltered are immediately gone. Not so obvious are some tweaks to actually help put all that power down, including disc brakes and independent suspension setups at the front and rear. The video gives some glimpses at a few of Pike's other creations, but the real star here is definitely his mean, green Ford.
