1959 Cadillac Limousine This is an extremely rare car. We have a lot of extra parts for it, including some bumper ends and a better fender. It is almost impossible to find one of these in these current times. It is absolutely impossible to find one with factory A/C. The undercarriage on this car did not look very rusty, although it did have some scale on the frame, but that can be cleaned up easily. This car was out of New Mexico and is a prime candidate for a restoration. I believe that this car is complete except for the horn ring. A new windshield for this car has been ordered and is sitting inside, but not installed. This car would come with four Cadillac hubcaps. We are waiting for the new title to come in. This car is desirable, but you have to be willing to fix and restore it. This would be a great car to start a restoration with. I am not interested in any lowball offers due to the rarity of this car. I have a 1957 and 1960 limousine that I will be listing all with A/C. Cadillac CT6 ushers in new naming convention
Wed, 24 Sep 2014Johan de Nysschen has been at his new post as president of Cadillac for not even three months , but he's already seen two of his most notable accomplishments from his two-year tenure as president of Infiniti matched by Cadillac. The brand has announced that it is relocating its headquarters, and is now officially changing its nomenclature.
The brand's new flagship model will abandon the familiar three-letter designation enjoyed by every other model in the range (aside from the Escalade), and adopt an alpha-numeric title. So, rather than the expected title of LTS, Cadillac's top-end car will be called the CT6.
Of course, this won't be limited to just one model. According to Cadillac's press release, "familiar lettering like 'CT' would be used for car models, with the number indicating the relative size and position of the cars in the hierarchy of Cadillac models." And yes, that means what you think it means - Cadillac will use the exact same naming formula, albeit with different letters, as Infiniti.
Cadillac teases camo'd ELR ahead of Detroit debut
Tue, 08 Jan 2013With the 2014 Cadillac ELR being introduced next week at the Detroit Auto Show, General Motors has revealed another picture of its luxury range extended electric vehicle. Last month, we saw a dark, teaser photo showing some of the body detail for the electric coupe, but this recent photo shows the Cadillac in full camouflage testing in California back in September.
If this car looks familiar, it's because our spy shooters got a jump on GM by catching the car in action and providing pictures from all angles. There are still no official details for the ELR yet aside from the fact that it will share the Voltec system with the Chevrolet Volt, but we'll finally see the car unveiled in Detroit a week from today.
Cadillac snags de Nysschen from Infiniti, names him new president
Fri, 11 Jul 2014Johan de Nysschen, the (now former) president of Infiniti, has officially jumped ship. The 54-year-old, who also spent time as the chief executive for Audi USA, has taken the position of president at Cadillac, following a two-year stint at the Nissan-owned luxury brand. In his new role, the 54-year-old will be responsible "for all aspects of Cadillac globally," according to a statement from General Motors.
"Johan brings to our company vast experience in the development and proper execution of luxury automotive brands," said GM President Dan Ammann, de Nysschen's new boss. "With over 20 years in this exact space, especially in the development of the Audi brand, his track record proves he is the perfect executive to lead Cadillac for the long term."
"I have for some time now been impressed by how the new General Motors has been transformed into a formidable force in the industry," de Nysschen said in a statement. "The combination of strong corporate leadership and exceptional engineering resources presents the perfect combination to restore Cadillac to its place among global premium brands."
