Up for grabs is a one of a kind 2010 Cadillac Escalade ESV PLATINUM edition, finished in the most desired White Diamond Tri-coat over Cocoa/Linen Analine leather!  Simply put, you will not find another one like this, and here's why:

1. MagnaCharger supercharger, delivering an additional 120hp and 120 ft.lbs, while increasing fuel economy
2. Corsa exhaust, delivering an additional 11hp and 14 ft.
3. McGaughy's 2/3" lowering kit
4. Tracvision A7 mobile satellite television, color matched Diamond white antenna on the roof
5. Chrome delete.  All nameplates, badges, roof rack, grill, front bumper lower valance, power running boards, door handles, side vents, side mirrors, and window surrounds are color matched Diamond white or gloss black.
6. 26" Giovanna Dalar wheels finished in gloss black. Tires have at least 85% tread remaining, and retain the factory tire pressure sensors.

OVER 30K INVESTED, WITH THE BEST PRODUCTS AVAILABLE!

This beast puts out a whopping 534 horsepower and 551 foot pounds of torque via a top of the line MagnaCharger supercharger and Corsa exhaust.  I am not a fan of exhaust systems on family haulers, but I can tell you that this truck is actually quieter than stock, but sounds absolutely monstrous at full acceleration. Absolutely no interior resonance/drone from the exhaust. The supercharger and exhaust combination is truly a must for the ESV, but very few can justify the cost.  It not only offers increased horsepower and better fuel economy, but the throttle response is where the difference is for me.  The truck feels much more spirited, but still is VERY much a daily driver/family hauler without question.  The suspension is also top of the line McGaughy's, which compliments the performance upgrades well.  The factory air ride is not altered and functions normally.  The Giovanna wheels finish off the sinister look, with a very clean concave look that finishes the aggressive stance. The Tracvision unit offers 185 Direct TV channels ($5.00/month if you are currently a Direct TV subscriber) and is perfect for local and long trips. My kids never missed an episode of Mickey Mouse, and I never missed a Sunday football game while my wife was in the store. The exterior paint is shiny and clean, with normal rock chips on the front.  The interior literally smells of leather, and the seats show very little wear.  The center console and cupholders are nearly new and have no fading or deep scratches.

Once you have looked into the Platinum Edition upgrades, it is very hard to go back to the "standard" Escalades.  The trim, wood, quality of leather, and color combination is second to none.  Upgrades to the standard Escalade include a rich and soft Analine leather in Cocoa with light linen Cadillac emblems embroidered into every seat back.  The carpet and headliner are finished in Light linen, which is lighter and more expensive looking that the standard tan interior, and is covered by contrasting Cocoa mats.  The dashboard and door trims have a leather look in Cocoa with Light Linen contrast stitching across the edges.  The wood is far superior than the standard Escalade and the stainless steel trim is very rich looking, as opposed the the plastic looking wood and stainless steel found in the standard Escalade.  Must see in person to truly appreciate.  The list goes on as far as the details, but these are the ones that really make an impact on the driving experience to me.

The Platinum also features Blind Spot Assist (helps when changing lanes), Heated and Cooled cupholders (my wife uses it to warm up baby bottles, or keep coffee hot), Heated and Ventilated seats, Quad Captain seating (7 passenger), LED headlights with IntelliBeam (automatically turns on and off the high beams), 4 Factory OEM TV's, 2 in the headrests as well as 2 TV's that drop down from the roof, Power side steps and rear cargo hatch, Reverse Camera, Sirius/XM radio, and the list goes on.

Carfax will show an accident reported, but it was very minor, resulting in the front bumper being repainted by Andrews Cadillac.  No other body work or paintwork exists on this vehicles (other than the custom work). I have photos to show how minor it was.  Please do not try to use this as a bargaining tool, I am not interested in giving my truck away.  I am the second owner and purchased it from Rolls Royce, Bentley, Maserati of Nashville for my wife.  We have enjoyed it for nearly a year and have actually outgrown the vehicle, hence the Mercedes Sprinter in the background.  This is a Tennesse truck since new, so no rust at all.

Also, if you are not interested in the aftermarket wheels and suspension, I have all the factory parts.  The OEM wheels are nearly perfect and the tires are Bridgestone's with at least 90% tread remaining.  They look almost brand new.  I will honor the asking price with either sets of wheels/suspension and my shop will handle the labor to reverse the suspension and mount the OEM wheels.  If you would like both sets, please add $2500 to the price.

I encourage 3rd party inspections, and I am happy to photograph anything that you are concerned about.  I can also help arrange shipping to your door anywhere in the United States and Canada.  I am not familiar with exporting.  If you would like to drive or fly into Nashville, TN, I am happy to pick you up from the airport. Please feel free to give me a call on my cell at 615-405-1997, my name is Ali.  Thank you for your interest!

Season 9 of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee teases us with BMWs and Volvos

Thu, Dec 22 2016

Jerry Seinfeld's successful online show Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is heading into its ninth season, returning January 5th. It should be no surprise that the list of actors and comedians is impressive, with Kristen Wiig, Christoph Waltz, and more making appearances. Seinfeld has lined up an equally impressive list of cars for the new season. Porsche, BMW, and Volvo all have beautiful machines lined up to shuttle Seinfeld and his guest to different coffee shops. As always, it's a mix of light humor packed into a relatively short and, most importantly, free video. Catch up on the previous eight seasons now on Crackle. Cadillac ATS to go racing in 2015 as CTS.V.R replacement

Thu, 21 Aug 2014

Cadillac has been racking up victories with the CTS.V.R in Pirelli World Challenge racing for two model generations now, including recent GT class championships in 2012 and 2013. However, even winning racers eventually have to retire, and it looks like the CTS may be taking a bow at the end of the season. In its place, Caddy is reportedly working on a new racecar based on the ATS Coupe, and it might even get to compete internationally.
According to Racer, Pratt & Miller Engineering is leading the development and is already lapping the ATS racecar in Michigan for testing. It reportedly drops the CTS' V8 in favor of a twin-turbocharged V6 powering the rear wheels. Since this is the same team behind the hugely successful Corvette Racing program and the current CTS.V.R, the latest car appears to be in good hands.
The new model would also adhere to GT3 rules, according to Racer, and that might signal a big change for Cadillac's motorsports program. It means that the ATS could be sold to teams in the numerous series around the world that accept these vehicles. That would broaden the luxury coupe's exposure and put it up against GT3 racecars from premium brands, like Bentley, Porsche and McLaren. If it wins, the change could be a marketing bonanza for the brand.

Junkyard Gem: 1997 Cadillac Catera

Sun, Jun 16 2024

GM's Cadillac Division was having a tough time in the early 1990s, with an onslaught of Lexuses and Infinitis pouring across the Pacific to steal their younger customers while high-end German manufacturers picked off their older customers. Flying an S-Class-priced model between assembly lines in Turin and Hamtramck hadn't worked out, so why not look to the European outposts of the far-flung GM Empire for the next Cadillac? That's how the Catera was born, and I have found a rare first-year example in a North Carolina car graveyard. Across the Atlantic, GM's Opel and Vauxhall were doing good business with prosperous European car buyers by selling them the sleek rear-wheel-drive Omega B (whose platform also lived beneath the Holden VT Commodore in Australia). Here was a genuine German design that competed with success against BMW and Audi on their home turf! So, the Omega B was Americanized and renamed the Catera. Opel wasn't a completely unknown brand to Americans at the time, since its cars were sold here with their own badging through Buick dealerships from the middle 1950s through the late 1970s (for a much shorter period, American Pontiac dealers attempted to sell Vauxhalls). Even after that, plenty of Opel DNA showed up in the products of U.S.-market GM divisions. The Catera was by far the most affordable Cadillac for 1997, with an MSRP starting at $29,995 (about $59,113 in 2024 dollars). Being a genuine German car, it looked much more convincingly European than the DeVille ($36,995), Eldorado ($37,995) and Seville ($39,995). Inspired by the ducks on the Cadillac emblem (they were really supposed to be martlets, mythical birds with no feet and occasionally lacking beaks), Cadillac's marketers went after youthful car shoppers with a whimsical animated duck named Ziggy. For the 21st century, the birds were removed from the Cadillac emblem in order to attract California buyers under 45 years of age. As we all know, the Catera flopped hard in the marketplace. What sold well in Europe turned out not to translate so well in in North America, especially when bearing the badges of such a historically prestigious brand. The Catera's engine was a 54-degree 3.0-liter V6 rated at 200 horsepower and 192 pound-feet. Just as had been the case with its predecessor, the Allante, no manual transmission was available.
