It is a completely rust free car with no accidents, dents and barely a scratch. Chrome and trim is perfect. Paint is in excellent condition and we believe the car to be 100% original inside and out. Two original Cadillac gold keys. Belts and hoses are excellent, still soft and no dry rot. The exhaust system has been replaced from the coverter back, fuel pump has been replaced and gas tank has been dropped and flushed out. Master cylinder has also been replaced. The interior is immaculate and perfect. The woodgrain is showroom new. There are no dash cracks or seat tears. Interior chrome shines like it left the factory. The steering wheel is like new. In 1985, the Eldorado came fully loaded car and had very few options. This car has those options which include tilt and telescopic steering wheel, rear window defogger and bodyside moldings. Standard features include climate control air conditioning and heating, outside temperature gauge, trunk release in the glove box, power seats, power windows, power door locks, dual remote mirrors (non power), information display, cruise control and more. Original AM-FM stereo and the factory power antenna operates correctly. The RPO sticker with option codes is still in trunk lid. The best part is that everything works as it did when it left the showroom! The 4.1 litre digital fuel injected V8 engine runs as good as new. She starts instantly. There are no squeaks or noises. Original Vogue tires have been replaced with brand new Vogue tires. All safety equipment operates as it was intended. Purchased with 5,600 original miles. Current mileage is 21,000, with 11,000 being highway miles within the past year. There is nothing needed but a driver. Just get in and go short or long distance in Cadillac comfort and style. GM recalls 3.6 million vehicles for airbag-software problems
Fri, Sep 9 2016The Basics: General Motors is recalling 3.64 million vehicles across its lineup for an airbag-related issue. The recall covers the 2014-2015 Buick LaCrosse, Chevrolet SS, and Spark EV; 2014-2017 Chevrolet Corvette, Trax, Caprice PPV, Silverado 1500, Buick Encore, and GMC Sierra 1500; and 2015-2017 Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, Silverado HD, GMC Yukon, Yukon XL, Sierra HD, Cadillac Escalade, and Escalade ESV. The Problem: Affected vehicles have a sensing and diagnostic module that controls the airbags and seat-belt pretensioners. The software it uses has a defect that can prompt the module to run a diagnostic test under specific driving conditions, which will also deactivate the front airbags and pretensioners. This means that it would be possible for those safety systems to not activate in a crash, potentially leading to injury or death. Injuries/Deaths: General Motors began an investigation that led to the recall after a 2014 Silverado was involved in a crash in which the airbags did not deploy. No information was given as to injuries or deaths. The Fix: Owners can bring their vehicles to a local General Motors dealer where a software update will be installed to fix the issue. The fix will be free of charge. If you own one: General Motors will contact owners of affected cars, and owners can check whether their vehicles are affected by visiting entering their vehicle identification numbers at either the GM Owner Center website or the NHTSA website. Next-gen Cadillac Escalade debuting October 7 in NYC
Wed, 14 Aug 2013Cadillac will unveil the next Escalade in October, at an event in New York City. It will be the sole member of GM's large SUV family to not get a debut at the Texas State Fair, which we don't think is all that surprising, considering the kind of clientele attracted by the big Caddy.
The new truck, from the few teaser images and spy shots we've seen, has evolved with the rest of the Cadillac range. We've got a glimpse of its tall, thin headlights, which look like an evolution of what's on the current truck. Expect some kind of egg-crate grille, reminiscent of the new CTS and ATS, while Cadillac's CUE system should feature heavily in what we hope is a thoroughly revised cabin.
The event takes place on October 7, so check back then for more info on the all-new Escalade.
