Up for auction is my 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible. I will first list all the small issues with this car:

The cruise control does not work
The clock does not work
The rear passenger window works but needs a little help to stay in line
there is a crack on the upper and lower dash
the drivers seat back has a small rip
the rotating cadillac symbol that covers the trunk lock is missing
it could use some new weather stripping on the A pillar
The cadillac script is missing on the front hood so are the small chrome pieces on the bottom of the front extentions
There appears to be a hole in the floor above the catalytic converter that was patched from the inside. (see pics)
And it needs a new muffler.

Not bad for a car that is 37 years old. I have not tried to fix any of these issues so i'm not sure how easy or hard it would be to fix. The previous owner cut a trim piece on the dash to install a cd player, I have tracked down and purchased a new trim piece along with an 8 track radio with CB  that was an option in 76 I will include these with the car. The car shows under 68000 miles which I've been told are original. I purchased this car from the son of the first owner. It runs and drives great, there are no mechanical issues that I am aware of. We have taken this car on numerous road trips and it never gave us any problems. The car was painted about 5 years ago, during that time some rust was cut out of the rear quarters and new metal welded in. The original color was green but was repainted a slightly lighter shade. The wheels were also painted to match the car. The paint has no chips or major scratches. During the painting process some over spray hit the vynal top but most of it is covered by the trim. There is a small scratch on the front extention near the hood (see pics). The trunk and trunk lid are solid, there appears to be a rubberized lining on the floor of the trunk perhaps to prevent rust or noise. This same material is on the undercarriage and except for the hole that was patched on the floor there appears to be only surface rust on some parts of the undercarriage typical of a car this age. I have tried to be honest and list any and all issues I am aware of on this car, however this is no replacement for you own inspection which can be arranged if you are in the area. Car runs and drives great but is sold as is. If you are the winning bidder a $500 no refundable deposit via pay pal is due within 24 hours of auctions end. With balance paid in cash at pick up. I reserve the right to end auction early as car is for sale locally. The reserve is lower then what I have invested in this car, but it needs to see because I need the garage space. If you have any questions please ask. Thank you and good luck.

2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe prepares to fight BMW 4 Series

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

Cadillac introduced its new ATS Coupe at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show today, bringing customers an alternative to the growing range of sport luxury coupes typified by the BMW 4 Series, Audi A5 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe.
The ATS Coupe, as a slightly more premium offering, ditches the wheezy 2.5-liter engine found in the basic ATS Sedan, but retains the four-door's 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder and 3.6-liter V6. That four-pot turbo benefits from a fettling that has increased torque from 260 pound-feet to 295, although its peak is only available from 3,000 rpm to 4,600 rpm, unlike in the sedan, where peak twist arrives at just 1,700 rpm and sticks around until 5,500 rpm.
Power can be channeled to either the rear or all four wheels by the owner's choice of a Tremec six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. According to Cadillac, the new Coupe can get to 60 in 5.6 seconds when fitted with the 2.0-liter turbo.

Shatner's Rivet motorcycle to enter limited production with CTS-V engine [w/video]

Sat, Apr 11 2015

William Shatner has entertained the world for decades, from playing Captain Kirk on Star Trek to covering songs like Rocket Man and Common People. Now in his 80s, Billy Shatz has embarked on one of his weirdest projects yet: helping to design the wild Rivet One trike with motorcycle fabrication company American Wrench. Now, you can order one too with power as crazy as the three-wheeler's design. We last saw the Rivet One's aluminum body with the styling like a menacing, art-deco easy chair a few months ago, but now Shatner has started talking about the trike's powerplant, which is based around the heart of a Cadillac CTS-V. "It's a beast with advanced guts. It's powered by an all-aluminum, computer-controlled, supercharged and intercooled V8 engine – producing over 500 HP," Shatner said to Gizmag. Keep an eye out because Shatner intends to captain the Rivet One from Chicago to Los Angeles later this year. Also, if you want a ride like Captain James T. Kirk, the company is taking requests for the trike, made on a build-to-order basis after completing Shatner's job, according to Gizmag. Prices aren't announced yet but expect the number to be as out of this world as a voyage of the Enterprise. The video below provides a further look at the Rivet One's unconventional design. Cadillac sales chief Peffer resigns amidst slow sales

Fri, 20 Jun 2014

Cadillac continues to hemorrhage executives, as it's just seen its fourth high-level departure in the past year. Vice President of Global Strategic Development Don Butler (who defected to Ford) and European President and Managing Director Susan Docherty both left the company of their own volition, while Chase Hawkins, Cadillac's vice president of sales and service, was fired following a "violation of policy" in July of 2013. Strangely, it's Hawkins' replacement, Bill Peffer (shown above), who has handed in his papers this time around.
"Bill left to pursue other interests. Kurt McNeil replaces him, effective immediately," spokesman David Caldwell told Autoblog via email.
McNeil last held the VP of sales and service position back in 2012. He's currently the vice president of US sales for all of General Motors. According to The Detroit News, McNeil will take on the post in what is likely an interim capacity.
