For sale, this 1976 Eldorado Cadillac convertible I bought from my uncle in Missouri who kept it in his garage for decades. I've kept in a garage in DC for 3 years. I have to part with it because with a new baby, my automotive baby must go (only room for one). Just bought new tires as of 8/29/2014. Please keep in mind that no 38 year-old used vehicle is perfect, nonetheless, this car is fantastic. You want to feel fantastic driving a clean and great running classic, this is it. I had a professional mechanic replaced the front and back body fillers, brakes, brake rotor and several hoses. Goss' Garage (of Motorweek fame) put on brand new tires and gave it an oil change on Aug. 30, 2014. An employee at Goss' told me several people asked if the car was for sale. Yep, it is a gem. Cadillac may not build Elmiraj coupe
Wed, 20 Nov 2013Despite the fact that most everyone who has laid eyes on the Cadillac Elmiraj concept coupe loves it, General Motors insiders are still trying to prove the business case to build the car. And it's certainly not a guarantee.
"I want to see this car go into production badly. Very badly," Ed Welburn, GM's Global Head of Design, told Autoblog. But the Cadillac design studio is busier than it's ever been before, and the company is working on prioritizing which cars deserve to get the billion-dollar price tag needed to research and develop a new model.

J.D. Power study sees new car dependability problems increase for first time since 1998
Wed, 12 Feb 2014For the first time since 1998, J.D. Power and Associates says its data shows that the average number of problems per 100 cars has increased. The finding is the result of the firm's much-touted annual Vehicle Dependability Study, which charts incidents of problems in new vehicle purchases over three years from 41,000 respondents.
Looking at first-owner cars from the 2011 model year, the study found an average of 133 problems per 100 cars (PP100, for short), up 6 percent from 126 PP100 in last year's study, which covered 2010 model-year vehicles. Disturbingly, the bulk of the increase is being attributed to engine and transmission problems, with a 6 PP100 boost.
Interestingly, JDP notes that "the decline in quality is particularly acute for vehicles with four-cylinder engines, where problem levels increase by nearly 10 PP100." Its findings also noticed that large diesel engines also tended to be more problematic than most five- and six-cylinder engines.
