1975 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible White, Red Interior. 500 C.I. Engine Front wheel Drive. Pa. Reconstructed Title.
81,427 miles the odometer reads, i believe that is original, but is not documented on title, Says Exempt. The title for make of vehicle says... Eldorado. And says sdn, in body type, which is a convertible. THe vehicle identification number is absolutley matches the title.
Runs nice!!! Garage Kept , the last 16 years and never seens rain at all, or stayed outside overnight , in the 16 years i have owner it.
I Have owned this car for over 16 years now. I acuired this car from an insurance company, with a damaged right front fender, right door, and a dented quarter panel on the passenger side. I believe it got side swiped something on right side. No frame damage.
I replaced the fender, door , and repaired the quarter panel, and painted it myself. It looks ok, and does shine, but to make it nice it needs to be professionally repainted. THe door jam on the passenger side is still in primer. Also th rs door has a coupe window in it, and is wrong, it needs a convertible window put in.
It needs a new top, and a needs a new or repaired top motor to put the top up and down.
I just wanted to drive it, with the top always down! So ilooked at the weather closely before a left!!!
So the car was never 100 percent completed!!!
The paint has some scratches and the hood has a small dent in the rear corner. It needs new plastic on end of left front fender, and new plastic below the rear tail lights and below the licence plate. I replaced the right front end fender plastic with a new fiberglass one.
Needs new seat covers, the door panels are fair. Chrome is fair , original with some pitting hear and there , but looks ok, for a driver.
Engine sounds good and transmission shifts fine. Holds the road nice, i never broke down ever with this car.
Has 4 New tires, some new tire valve stems i replaced, and have some new spares. new alternator. new power steering hose, new left front brake hose. I had the front end aligned. Wheel covers are banged up and rf front one is an older style.
New carpet, and new muffler and tail pipe. New air cleaner, new heater hoses, new hood insulation. Battery is 2 years old.
Starts right up, and drives very nice. I have half of the fiberglass parade boot for the top, the other side is broke.
My reserve is very low for a Convertible 1975 that is 38 years old. The carb may need to be tuned at little, or the ethonal gas, really is rough on older cars, but does not stall. LIke i said it looks decent the way it is, and still turns alot of heads driving this.
I just dont drive it much anymore, and i would like someone to do what i did , drive it take care of it and enjoy the drives. Sold as-is, no warrenty. But has been good to me. If you take car of it, you will have a cheap neat convertible, to last many years.
Terms nonrefundable deposit due within 3 days of 100.00. Will hold for 14 days with a deposit. At pick up cash only. PLease if you are coming from a distance, i think you should put it on a trailer. I put maybe 1500 miles on it in 16 years. If no comunication or no deposit, ebay will be contacted. Sold as-is.

Even if GM does close all 5 of those plants, it'll still have too many
Wed, Nov 28 2018DETROIT — General Motors' monumental announcement on Monday that it will close three car assembly plants and two powertrain plants in North America and slash its workforce will only partially close the gap between capacity and demand for the automaker's sedans, according to a Reuters analysis of industry production and capacity data. Sales of traditional passenger cars in North America have been declining for the past six years and are still withering. After GM ends production next year at factories in Michigan, Ohio and Ontario, it will still have four U.S. passenger-car plants — all operating at less than 50 percent of rated capacity, according to figures supplied by LMC Automotive. In comparison, Detroit-based rivals Ford and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will have one car plant each in North America after 2019. The Detroit Three are facing rapidly dwindling demand for traditional passenger cars from U.S. consumers, many of whom have shifted to crossovers and trucks. Passenger cars accounted for 48 percent of retail light-vehicle sales in the United States in 2014, according to market researchers at J.D. Power and Associates. This year, sedans will account for less than a third of light vehicle sales. That shift in turn has left most North American car plants operating far below their rated capacities, while many SUV and truck plants are running on overtime. The collapse in passenger-car demand is a challenge for nearly all automakers in the United States, including Japan's Toyota and Honda, which have the top-selling models in the compact and midsize car segments. Toyota executives said last month they are evaluating the company's U.S. model lineup. But Toyota also plans to build compact Corolla sedans at a new $1.6 billion factory it is building in Alabama with partner Mazda. The obstacles facing GM in its plans to close more auto factories became apparent on Tuesday as U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to block payment of government electric vehicle subsidies to GM. While it is not certain that Trump unilaterally has the power to do that, he made it clear he intends to use his office to pressure the company to keep open a small car plant in Ohio that GM says will stop building vehicles in March.
Cadillac is returning to endurance racing with a new prototype in 2017
Wed, Nov 30 2016In two months, Cadillac will return to top-tier endurance racing with its all-new Daytona Prototype International racecar after 14 years away. The car, which adheres to IMSA's new DPi regulations, looks as long, low, and Cadillac-like as anyone could have hoped. It's set to debut at the Rolex 24 at Daytona and will compete head to head with the likes of Mazda and Nissan in what is shaping up to be one of the most diverse and exciting forms of American motor racing in years. The new car will be run by Wayne Taylor Racing, the team that previously fielded the Corvette Daytona Prototype. Wayne Taylor himself has won the 24 Hours of Daytona twice, in 1996 and 2005. He now manages the team and leaves the driving duties to his two sons, Ricky and Jordan. They'll be joined in the cockpit by Max Angelelli, Wayne Taylor's teammate in 2002 at Cadillac's last unsuccessful attempt at endurance racing. To understand Cadillac's new car, officially called the DPi-V.R., you need to understand IMSA's DPi category. Basically, manufacturers are allowed to base their car on one of four chassis that follow the FIA LMP2 regulations. The chassis come from either Dallara, Onroak Automotive, ORECA or Riley/Multimatic. Cadillac will base their car on the Dallara platform. The DPi regulation differ from the LMP2 in two major ways: non-standardized engines and the ability to change certain parts of the bodywork. The DPi regulations are intended to give the variety of the top-tier LMP1 cars at a fraction of the cost. When it came to choosing an engine, Cadillac wanted to power the new car with something kinda sorta production based. The new car will use a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter pushrod V8 that shares some base architecture with the engine in the current CTS-V. While the power output hasn't been announced, expect about 600 horsepower. While that's down compared to the CTS-V, there is far less mass to move around as the Dallara chassis is a svelte 2,050 lbs. Since all the teams will be running different engine configurations, expect restrictors of some sort to help balance the power disparity. The parts of the body work that can be modified - The nose, sidepods, rear wheel arches and rear valance - have all been designed to mimic Cadillac roadcar design elements. Even the wheels look like they were pulled straight from the CTS-V. The front splitter, the floor, and the diffuser are common elements shared with other DPi cars.
Cadillac CT6 production ceases January 2020 as part of D-Ham layoffs
Fri, Dec 6 2019General Motors filed paperwork under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act with Michigan's Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity this week, detailing events to come at the automaker's Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant. Starting February 28, 814 salaried and hourly workers at D-Ham, as its called, will be laid off. The 753 workers represented by the UAW will begin receiving offers in January to relocate to facilities in Michigan and Ohio, or buyout offers. As the 4-million-square-foot plant winds down through April 3 to a skeleton crew, the Cadillac CT6 ceases production in January 2020, and the last Chevrolet Impala comes off the line on February 28. The loss of the CT6 represents the end of Cadillac's latest brief, and highly regarded, adventure into flagship sedans. It might also mean the end of the 4.2-liter Blackwing twin-turbo V8 engine, at least for the moment. Both casualties are calamities. The death of the Impala closes the door on a nameplate in production for 52 years since 1957, having started off as a top-tier trim for the 1958 Bel Air known as the Bel Air Impala, once advertised with the line, "Lets you know you're the boss." As part of the new four-year labor agreement with the UAW, GM is keeping D-Ham open to build a new line of battery-electric vehicles, ultimately investing $3 billion and tripling employment to 2,225 workers when fully operational. The agreement described the coming EV as a "van" that would commence production in late 2021, but various reports say what's actually coming is a range of premium EVs in pickup and SUV bodystyles under the program codename BT1. The easy predictions put an electric GMC Sierra and Cadillac Escalade among the EV fold, but not until 2023, according to auto industry forecaster LMC Automotive. Before that, LMC claims an electric van will debut in late 2021, along with a battery-powered rebirth of the Hummer brand in pickup and SUV forms, also in late 2021.Â
