Here is your opportunity to purchase, at a very reasonable price, a very beautiful and classic El Dorado.  This would make a great addition or starter collectible so you too can enjoy your favorite local cruise nights and car shows.  This car had minor restoration approx. 7 years ago, with a repaint to original color with base and clear coat.  It appears as though only the front seat has been redone in original leather.  All remaining seats and interior are in exemplary, original condition.  Carpet also appears original and it excellent condition with a full color matching mat.  Trunk has been custom carpeted to match with the spare tire cover in matching carpet as well with an embroidered Cadillac emblem.

There is nothing wrong with this car at this time, everything works properly including ice cold air conditioning.  Every option on the car is functioning properly.  The steering wheel was professionally leather wrapped, not the do it yourself wrap from your local auto parts store.

This car starts immediately no matter how long it has been sitting.  It is a pleasure to drive and you will glide along even on the roughest roads.  This car attracts lots of attention wherever it goes.  All it needs is a new owner.

I regretfully have this fine car for sale.  It has been a joy to own but it is time to pass it on to someone else to enjoy.

2021 Cadillac CT4-V Road Test Review | V is for Deja Vu

Thu, Jun 10 2021

We now know that the 2021 Cadillac CT4-V is not the performance pinnacle of the line – that would be the 472-horsepower Blackwing. As it is, all the outrage spewed in the direction of Cadillac when it announced the once-great CT4-V was being downgraded to more pedestrian levels was ultimately much ado about nothing. Still, there's a kernel of truth to the notion that the new CT4-V (or CT4 V-Series as it's also known) just doesn't go far enough – or more accurately, the gap between it and the supposedly lesser CT4 Premium Luxury trim is surprisingly small. After driving the CT4 Premium Luxury with the optional 2.7-liter "450T" engine, I wrote here on Autoblog, "It's legitimately fun. You can feel the immense strength of the chassis, as well as the impeccable suspension tuning when hustling the car along. You also just feel things. There seems to be less cushion and fewer 1's and 0's between you and the car compared to other sport sedans like the BMW 3 Series and new Acura TLX. The steering has a lot to do with it: consistently weighted, regardless of drive mode, without too much speed-based adjustment, and genuine feedback filtered through the steering wheel. At the same time, the CT4 seems far more grown up and sophisticated in its engineering than the various front-drivers it competes with on price." After driving the CT4-V five months later, I wrote some notes on my computer. I later discovered they were virtually identical in overall impression to what is pasted above. It was like I had driven the same car twice. The resulting conclusion: I'd really need to exuberantly drive them back to back to notice a difference, especially as both cars had all-wheel drive. Even then, maybe not. It's perfectly plausible that many won't even notice a difference at all.  The all-wheel-drive point is key, however, because it means this CT4-V did not have the rear-drive version's Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 that always does wonders for a car's ride and handling. Maybe it would do so again here, but it's not like the CT4's ride or handling, regardless of flavor, needs much help. Much like the Premium Luxury 450T, the AWD CT4-V's fixed "performance" suspension provides a terrific balance of achieving a fast-attack pace in the mountains while not beating you up everywhere else. It absorbs bumps well and is neither crashy nor harsh. In other words, I didn't miss Magnetic Ride Control.

2022 Cadillac CT4 Review | Blackwing, price, mpg, pictures

Thu, Dec 2 2021

Cadillac’s most compact and frugal four-door is perhaps its most compelling, as evidenced by its place among our favorite sport sedans. This small sedan ostensibly competes with the growing class of sub-compact luxury sedans, yet its rear-drive layout and sophisticated chassis are more akin to European offerings a size larger. The CT4Â’s chassis makes an excellent case for itself against the benchmark BMW 3 Series, and the Blackwing adds M3-like power to that already-phenomenal platform. It even has a standard manual gearbox. So itÂ’s compelling, but is it competitive? The CT4 is smaller, with a cramped back seat and rinky-dink trunk. Its cabin quality is lower and its engines (including the BlackwingÂ’s twin-turbo V6) less refined. Yet, it is sufficiently cheaper to justify all of the above. For the dwindling few who still prize communicative steering and an unflappable suspension in their entry-level luxury sedan, the CT4 is a terrific choice – no matter what you compare it to. The CT4 was new for 2020 but due to global constraints and dwindling sedan sales, it has been produced and sold in limited numbers. Along with its larger sibling, the CT5, it is expected to be discontinued entirely by the middle of the decade. Cadillac has confirmed that the Blackwing models will be its final internal-combustion halo sedans. Interior & Technology   |   Passenger & Cargo Space   |   Performance & Fuel Economy What it's like to drive   |   Pricing & Features   |   Crash Ratings & Safety Features What's new for 2022? The CT4 lineup gains a new halo model for 2022: The CT4-V Blackwing. It packs a twin-turbo V6 with enough power to take on the BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG C63 and even comes standard with a manual transmission. Other updates are few and far between. Blaze Orange Metallic (as seen on the Blackwing photo up top) has been added to the exterior color selections, and Super Cruise packages will be available later in the Â’22 modelÂ’s production run. Note that due to the ongoing chip shortage, Cadillac may not be able to order a CT4 with a heated steering wheel for the remainder of the model year. What's the CT4 interior and in-car technology like? We've criticized the design and quality of other Cadillac interiors, and although the CT4's is awfully similar to those, its lower price and market positioning make it far more competitive and, well, palatable.

Cadillac will kill the plug-in ELR

Tue, Feb 2 2016

Johan de Nysschen, president of General Motors' Cadillac division, says Caddy's ELR extended-range plug-in won't have any future generations, Automotive News (subs. req.) says. The publication previously reported that the car would be around for another couple of years, but even that's questionable, and the model could be yanked even sooner. Cadillac spokesman David Caldwell confirmed that there won't be a second-generation ELR. "Subsequent generations of the car will not be developed," he wrote in an e-mail to Autoblog. "It's available currently as a 2016 model, and there's no change to that status." The model debuted in late 2013 and used a version of the powertrain in the Chevrolet Volt. The main problem, of course, was that the car had a $76,000 price tag that proved too much for most automobile buyers to stomach. Last year, GM sold 1,024 ELRs, down 22 percent from 2014's totals. By comparison, the Chevy Volt moved more than 15,000 units, and that itself was still down 18 percent from year-earlier figures. The merciful end to the ELR shouldn't be much of a surprise, as Cadillac Chief Marketing Officer Uwe Ellinghaus went on the record in December of essentially calling the model a dud. It's a far cry from the excitement, though, that the concept model of what was then called the Converj was unveiled to the public at the Detroit Auto Show in 2009. For those feeling misty-eyed or nostalgic, though, check here for Autoblog's First Drive impressions of the extended-range plug-in.
