1958 Eldorado Biarritz Convertible, top of the line in it's day.   The car is loaded with power steering, power brakes, power top, power windows, power trunk, and rare air conditioning.  This car is very solid, and  from San Antonio, Texas.  It has new nicely done front left and rear floor pans.  The dash chrome is good, although the dash pad is cracked.
The steering wheel is in excellent condition.  It has a rebuilt carburetor, water pump, radiator, and  power brake booster.  Has new belts, hoses, plugs, and wires. The motor runs well. The restoration is not finished, the interior needs to be recovered. The power seat in the photo works and has been tested. Car is missing the rear bumpers, trunk V, Eldo letters, speaker, and hash chrome.  May be missing other brick and brack. (available at Caddy Daddy or McVeys) The car has a nice original trunk, perfect with no rust ever.  The stainless and chrome is in great shape. It has new white wall tires on silver saber wheels.  (Great, but no center caps).  I have an interior from a 58 Seville as seen in the pictures, that goes with this car. The engine and carburetor are detailed nicely. The inner fenders, fan shroud, and radiator core support are powder coated. All lines on this car look good. The left tail light and trunk lock have been installed since these pictures were taken. It has a lovely lacquer paint job. The original data plate is still on the car and  states the car was originally white with a black interior. The car is sold as is, where is, the seller is not responsible for authenticity or correctness. No warranty is implied. Any questions about the car please call Doctor Voracek at 972-814-8300.

Cadillac ATS Coupe spy photos show more sedate two-door

Tue, 23 Apr 2013

Remember when the Cadillac CTS Coupe debuted, and we were all like, "Oh hello there?" Well, don't expect the same thing to happen when the new ATS Coupe is unveiled - these brand new (overexposed) spy shots show a two-door that's decidedly more sedate than the angular yet curvaceous and all-around good-looking CTS Coupe. This isn't to say that the smaller Caddy Coupe won't be attractive - the four-door version is plenty pretty, to be sure - it just likely won't have that extra somethin'-somethin' to truly set it apart from the sedan.
Fine, then. We don't doubt that the two-door ATS will be just as enjoyable to drive as its sedan sibling, with a lot of the mechanical stuff likely carrying over unchanged. That includes the powertrain options, meaning buyers will be able to choose from the naturally aspirated 2.5-liter inline-four, turbocharged 2.0-liter four, or larger free-breathing 3.6-liter V6.
Look for the 2014 ATS Coupe to enter production in January of next year, meaning a reveal later this year (LA Auto Show, perhaps?) would be in order.

2013 Cadillac XTS [w/video]

The Cadillac Of Stopgaps
As confusing as most alphanumeric car names have gotten in recent years, at least one constant has been that the letter "X" is generally indicative of a crossover. Then why did General Motors use this letter on its new 2013 Cadillac XTS luxury sedan? Well, for that, we'll have to look to the world of mathematics where "X" stands for an unknown variable or a placeholder. Now we're talking. The XTS is just an interim product sitting at the top of Cadillac's four-door food chain until the brand gets a true flagship in place. That sounds like a lot of resources to spend on what will likely be a one-and-done model, but the automaker needed to get something - anything - to replace the DTS.
So here you have the 2013 XTS. A big luxury sedan that was created to bridge the gap between Cadillac's recent past and its pending future. Going into our week with this XTS knowing that it was a stopgap measure proved to be both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, we know (or hope) that this car will act as a baseline for future high-end Cadillac models, but at the same time, we couldn't help but be mindful of past stopgap models, albeit in more entry-level segments, like the Cimarron and Catera.

Cadillac CT6 ushers in new naming convention

Wed, 24 Sep 2014

Johan de Nysschen has been at his new post as president of Cadillac for not even three months , but he's already seen two of his most notable accomplishments from his two-year tenure as president of Infiniti matched by Cadillac. The brand has announced that it is relocating its headquarters, and is now officially changing its nomenclature.
The brand's new flagship model will abandon the familiar three-letter designation enjoyed by every other model in the range (aside from the Escalade), and adopt an alpha-numeric title. So, rather than the expected title of LTS, Cadillac's top-end car will be called the CT6.
Of course, this won't be limited to just one model. According to Cadillac's press release, "familiar lettering like 'CT' would be used for car models, with the number indicating the relative size and position of the cars in the hierarchy of Cadillac models." And yes, that means what you think it means - Cadillac will use the exact same naming formula, albeit with different letters, as Infiniti.
