No Reserve! Only 26,000 Original Miles, Fully Restored Classic Convertible, Mint on 2040-cars
Staten Island, New York, United States
Up for sale is this beautiful 1967 Cadillac Coupe Deville Convertible with only 26,000 original miles! This vehicle was a great, nice, low mileage vehicle that undergone a complete ground-up restoration a few years back. The exterior of the vehicle is Artic White and the interior is done in black and white leather. The color combination looks really nice and classy for this Cadillac. The convertible top is also like brand new and it is black with white piping on the outer edges of the top. The convertible top is also fully powered and works with just the push of a button. I also have the convertible top boot as well and it is also in mint condition.
This vehicle is in perfect shape and is ready for its new owner. The previous owner spent tons of money getting this vehicle to its current condition. The paint job on the exterior was done at a high end professional shop and everything was removed from the vehicle before it was painted. All the chrome was re-done and it looks great! The exterior of the vehicle is free of any scratches or dings and there really isnt any blemishes for me to mention at all. The exterior is fantastic and this vehicle could be parked on a showroom floor somewhere. The interior of the vehicle was all re-done as well. The interior is leather and the seats and door panels are all done in the same white/black pattern by a professional upholstery shop. The seats are perfect with no wear on them at all. The carpeting and other trims are perfect as you could want them to be. There is nothing letting the interior down at all. It looks the way it did when it rolled off the assembly line almost 50 years ago. All the electrical features in the car are working 100%. These electrical features include the power windows, power seat, AC and heater, windshield wiper and washer, original radio with power antenna, all the speakers, all the interior and external lights, dome lights, turn signals and indicators, power convertible top and hydraulics and perfect, gauges are working great, horn functions perfectly, and all the other options and equipment are functioning the way they should (see my video). Mechanically, this vehicle is running and driving with no leaks or any known issues at all. The engine starts right up and runs great, while the transmission shifts perfectly with no issues at all. The brakes drums all seem to be in good order and the cooling system is working perfectly. THe vehicle runs and drives really solid and I would not be at all nervous about driving this vehicle long distances, as I have done numerous times. This is a vehicle that if you drive it, everyone will aks about it and want to know what it is. I was driving this vehicle in Times Square, New York, recently and the police had to move the crowd away from it and I could proceed as the light turned green. People love the vehicle and im sure its new owner will love it as well. The previous owner spent such attention to detail in getting this vehicle correct as it was new. The trunk has the original GM trunk mat as well as the original spare tire and jack. The vehicle has the optional chrome Cadillac wire wheels with the period correct white walled tires. This vehicle looks, drives, and works the way a classic Cadillac Convertible should. I dont think that you will ever find one that has the mileage, condition, and looks as this one does. This is probably the finest example of any Deville Convertible that you will ever find and its 100% rust free as well. The frame and underside of the vehicle has been paint and protected from the elements. The underside of the vehicle is in as great condition as the rest of the Cadillac is. I have posted over 150 pictures of this vehicle and I have even posted a video showing all of the cars features so that you (the buyer) know what you are buying. If you have any questions about this vehicle, please feel free to ask me. I have done my best in explaining what I know about the vehicle. Its a great Cadillac that will make a great edition to someone's collection. This vehicle is being sold as-is, where-is with no warranties expressed or implied. A $500 deposit must be made within 24 hours of the auctions closing and FULL payment must be made within 3 days of the auctions closing. It is the responsibility of the buyer to pay for and arrange shipping on the vehicle. I do have a transporter that I can hook you up with if you need the vehicle shipped. You can come down and see the vehicle anytime and inspect the vehicle prior to bidding on it. Please feel free to email or call me if you have any questions or concerns about the vehicle. Also, feel free to ask me about the buy it now price. I have priced the vehicle reasonably but this is a NO RESERVE auction. My number is 347-636-5336. Thanks and goodluck bidding! |

Cadillac Elmiraj Concept slinks in Leno's Garage
Wed, 28 Aug 2013Jay Leno's Garage has moved to Pebble Beach for the week. This time around, the affable comedian is taking a look at the Cadillac Elmiraj Concept that debuted during the Monterey car week, and is talking to General Motors vice president of global design, Ed Welburn.
There's plenty of reminiscing about what concept cars were like when these two were kids, before a fairly deep dive into the striking Elmiraj Concept itself. Welburn shares a few anecdotes about the design process behind the two-door concept, including how his designers changed his mind on the grille design.
After bringing up the Cimarron, Leno makes a solid point that the Elmiraj would be a solid production car that could even spawn a four-door variant. We couldn't agree more. Take a look below for the full video from Jay Leno's Garage.
Why Cadillac needs a real truck in its lineup
Mon, Aug 31 2015Premium brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, and Cadillac sell vehicles that cover the spectrum from car to crossover to SUV. But trucks? They remain the last frontier when it comes to luxury brands. These days Chevy, GMC, Ford, and Ram sell cheap, bare-bones work trucks alongside loaded models that top $75,000. There is a reverse elitism that comes with this sales tactic. A brand gets to reflect a rugged working class lifestyle with the emblem up front, while what's behind it costs as much as a small house in middle America. But Americans who spend big money on cars and SUVs have always gradually tailed towards luxury nameplates over time. Everyone knows what an Escalade is, and thanks in large part to that image the Escalade is now the best-selling fullsize luxury SUV in the USA. Cadillac's flagship model, along with its midsize luxury crossover, the SRX, routinely outsell the competition from Audi, Mercedes, and BMW, not to mention Ford's Lincoln brand and most of the Japanese rivals. With trucks already dominating overall sales and headed into the pricing stratosphere, I believe it's time for Cadillac to consider a fullsize truck. And no, not a lipstick version that merely takes a Chevrolet Silverado pickup and throws in a few leather seats and some slight interior touches. That experiment already failed both for Cadillac (the Escalade EXT) and for Ford's Lincoln brand (Blackwood, Mark LT). Cadillac is an American brand that currently focuses a ridiculous amount of energy and resources trying to compete with European car offerings. The brand needs to create the Cadillac of trucks. Head honcho Johan de Nysschen has been blunt in his desire to "restore Cadillac to the pinnacle of global premium brands, not in sales but in aspirational brand character." This sounds well and wonderful. But the present problem in achieving this goal is that, on a global basis, Cadillac is a failed brand. Look at Europe, where Cadillac has sold so poorly in recent years that former Soviet manufacturer Lada managed more new registrations in 2014 by a factor of more than four to one. Cadillac is an American brand that currently focuses a ridiculous amount of energy and resources trying to compete with European car offerings. After more than 20 years of Cadillac models selling themselves as import killers, the only one with sustained success has been the CTS, and even that has been a marketplace loser for the last several years. The CTS-V?
Cadillac V-Performance Academy joins free driving school party
Sun, Sep 4 2016Just in case you needed another reason to want one of Cadillac's hottest performers, starting with the 2017 Cadillac CTS-V and ATS-V, the first owner of each vehicle can score a free two-day course at Spring Mountain Motor Resort with the V-Performance Academy. According to Spring Mountain's website, the V-Performance Academy "is designed for drivers of all experience levels and includes dynamic car control exercises, visual skill development, and proper cornering techniques," with "brief" classroom sessions sprinkled in. Driving programs like the V-Performance Academy are all the rage right now. In the last few weeks alone, both Fiat and Ford announced free one-day academies baked right into the price of cars like the 124 Abarth and Focus RS. As with the Ford and Fiat courses, Cadillac is providing the learner cars. But where those other courses call on vehicle owners to shell out for airfare, food, and in Fiat's case, lodging, Cadillac covers tuition – a $2,420 expense for non-owners – along with two nights in one of Spring Mountain's "luxury condominiums" and breakfast and lunch during both driving days. Students are still on the hook for airfare, although Caddy will shuttled attendees from Las Vegas McCarren to the track/resort, some 55 miles away. If you can't shell out for the flight to Las Vegas, a new CTS-V or ATS-V, or simply can't spare two days for a driving school, Cadillac is ramping up for another year of its one-day, traveling V-Performance Lab, which will run at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut and at Circuit of the Americas in Texas.
