You are looking at a 2001 Cadillac Deville Superior Hearse.  This hearse has only 79,300 miles on it.  This is being driven so miles will be different upon delivery.  The Cadillac starts right up and runs very smoothly.  I personally put over 100 miles on it yesterday.  The Cadillac drives smoothly and the transmission shifts perfectly through all gears.  This is a very comfortable car to drive, you don't realize that you are driving a hearse until you look in the side mirrors.  This hearse is loaded right up.  It has leather, AM/FM radio, cassette, CD player, power windows, power locks, ice cold A/C, cruise control, and power seats.

The interior of this car is as close to perfect as a used car can get.   The only real flaw in the front seats is the side driver side bolster is slightly worn.  The back of the hearse is in great shape as well.  The sides are finished nicely with designer trim peices.  The windows in the back all have curtains that are in great shape.  The wood grain floor is in great shape and the rollers work perfectly.  There is a tear in the passenger side panel which is clearly shown in the pictures.

The exterior is almost a nice as the interior.  There were only a few minor issues that i could find.  The tires are going to need to be changed.  Infact, the front passenger side tire has a leak and flattens over a day or two.  I intend on putting a can of Fix-A-Flat in it tomorrow, but that is only a temperary fix.  The passenger side rear bumper has some damage where it was pushed in a little bit (Pictured).   The reverse light on the same side is being held in with tape.  The power antenna does not go up for some reason.  After that there are a few very minor dings and light scratches here and there, but nothing worth specifiying in the listing.

This is a very nice hearse and is ready to be used however you want.  This would make a AMAZING halloween decoration.   All you would need is a coffin and a fake skelleton and your decorations would automatically be the best arouond.  I am starting the auction at $2000 and am selling the car "NO RESERVE".  The high bidder will absolutely take this Cadillac home.  I do not have a "BUY IT NOW", but if you come down to look at it I will accept offers.  This hearse can be looked at and driven at any time Mon - Fri 9:30 - 5:00, or Sat 9:30 - 2:00.  It is also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time

Shatner's Rivet motorcycle to enter limited production with CTS-V engine [w/video]

Sat, Apr 11 2015

William Shatner has entertained the world for decades, from playing Captain Kirk on Star Trek to covering songs like Rocket Man and Common People. Now in his 80s, Billy Shatz has embarked on one of his weirdest projects yet: helping to design the wild Rivet One trike with motorcycle fabrication company American Wrench. Now, you can order one too with power as crazy as the three-wheeler's design. We last saw the Rivet One's aluminum body with the styling like a menacing, art-deco easy chair a few months ago, but now Shatner has started talking about the trike's powerplant, which is based around the heart of a Cadillac CTS-V. "It's a beast with advanced guts. It's powered by an all-aluminum, computer-controlled, supercharged and intercooled V8 engine – producing over 500 HP," Shatner said to Gizmag. Keep an eye out because Shatner intends to captain the Rivet One from Chicago to Los Angeles later this year. Also, if you want a ride like Captain James T. Kirk, the company is taking requests for the trike, made on a build-to-order basis after completing Shatner's job, according to Gizmag. Prices aren't announced yet but expect the number to be as out of this world as a voyage of the Enterprise. The video below provides a further look at the Rivet One's unconventional design. Cadillac Celestiq, Lyriq, Hummer, other future GM electric cars: Here's everything we saw at ‘EV Day’

Wed, Mar 4 2020

WARREN, Mich. — Today, General Motors held an “EV Day” event at its Warren, Michigan, campus to present its new “Ultium” battery technology, modular electric vehicle architecture and soon-to-come electric vehicles. Unfortunately, we were forbidden from bringing cameras into the event, so while we canÂ’t show you what we saw, we can tell you more about it. While we saw the previously teased Cadillac EV (which we now know to be called the Lyriq) and the GMC Hummer pickup teased during the Super Bowl, there were a number of other future cars at the event, which GM President Mark Reuss assured us are all real vehicles in the works. The biggest surprise came at the end of the event, though, in the Cadillac Celestiq electric sedan, which Reuss described as a future flagship that would be hand-built “very locally.” It had been hiding under a dark sheet all morning, with the front and rear illuminated Cadillac emblems shining from underneath. When the wraps came off, we saw a long, white, four-seat fastback sedan. The 23-inch wheels were pushed out to the very corners of the car, giving it what appeared to be a very long wheelbase. The model on the stage had no side mirrors or visible door handles. The grille mirrored that of the Lyriq crossover next to it, with integrated lighting in lieu of the usual mesh or slats youÂ’d see in an internal combustion car. The entire roof, all the way until it tapered to the tail of the vehicle, was tinted glass. In back, vertical tail lighting ran down the C-pillar before turning rearward across the top of the trunk. Inside, everything below the beltline of the windows — essentially all but the headrests and top portion of the steering wheel, was hidden from view. Behind the Celestiq, a large digital display showed a rendering of its interior. The dash consists of a pillar-to-pillar curved LED display serving as both instrument panel and infotainment system. Protruding forward between the front seats was another touchscreen that appeared to house some more controls, with open area, probably for storage, below it. The rear seats had the same sort of touchscreen between them. Built into the back of the front seats were a pair of rear-seat entertainment screens, much like we saw in the Lyriq. The door panels blended wood, metal and animated lighting to give character and a sense of opulence. GM interior design manager Tristan Murphy was on hand to tell us a bit more about the Celestiq.

Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.
