I have here my grandfather's 97 Deville that he passed down to me before he passed away.  Don't want to let it go but I have to.  I have kept it as nice as i could for as long as I had it.  Needs a LITTLE work.  Nothing major.

2 rear tires in the next couple of months, a tune-up and new fuel filter

Recently I had replaced the spark plugs, put in a new EGR valve, and had the temperature sensor gauge replaced as well as the digital dash....I bought the digital dash off a used car on ebay.  Took it to my local GMC dealer and they reprogrammed it to my car.  I have the old dash as a backup just in case this one desides to go on me.  The old dash can be sent to AC Delco to get repaired.  That is why in the pic the miles say 97,000 but i listed the correct mileage as 102,000..(I'm very honest)  I also installed a fresh battery.  The old battery was causing the car to go into anti theft mode.  It would take a couple tries to get the car started.  New battery installed, takes one cycle to get it fired up.  The anti theft warning still pops up when the car starts due to error code still being in the computer (which i showed in the pic).  I belive it will reset itself upon driving over 50 miles.  If not, your local GM dealership can reset it.   Also I accidentally washed my keys in the washing machine and the remote kinda went haywire.  If the keys were in range of the car it would unlock the car/lock the car/open the gas tank cover and pop the trunk open.  So in essence it burned the receiver out inside the car so the remotes don't work.  The unit can be replaced or you can go cheaper by having an aftermarket unit installed instead.

I have all the service records and original manuals.  Any questions feel free to email me

Playboy reveals its 2013 Cars of the Year

Thu, 20 Dec 2012

Vaunted men's magazine Playboy knows that its readers are nearly as interested in cars as they are in the female anatomy... sorry, we thought we could write that with a straight face. Anyway, the buff-book does occasionally fill some of its spreads with sexy metal, to accent all the rest of the sexiness.
To wit, the magazine has unveiled its feature on the 2013 Cars of the Year. Without giving us much in the way of criteria for the awards, nor a clear framing of the categories ("Responsible Ride" is a particularly challenging concept, especially when you consider that the Mazdaspeed3 was the winner), Playboy has nevertheless highlighted what we assume to be it's favorite 12 or 13 (depending on how you count) cars from the 2013 model year.
Headlining the class is the Porsche 911, which Playboy writers single out for having "remarkable electronic voodoo." BMW M5 is named "Slickest Sports Sedan" though the Cadillac ATS then follows on because "we couldn't resist giving the new Caddy a shout-out." The rest of the picks are pretty conventional (save, perhaps, the Honda Fit EV as "Ace Electric"), even if the categories and methodology are fairly wonky. Cruise through or gallery for a taste or check out the full list, here. The site is safe for work, and you can legitimately (this time) say that you were reading it for the articles.

Season 9 of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee teases us with BMWs and Volvos

Thu, Dec 22 2016

Jerry Seinfeld's successful online show Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is heading into its ninth season, returning January 5th. It should be no surprise that the list of actors and comedians is impressive, with Kristen Wiig, Christoph Waltz, and more making appearances. Seinfeld has lined up an equally impressive list of cars for the new season. Porsche, BMW, and Volvo all have beautiful machines lined up to shuttle Seinfeld and his guest to different coffee shops. As always, it's a mix of light humor packed into a relatively short and, most importantly, free video. Catch up on the previous eight seasons now on Crackle. Combative de Nysschen defends Cadillac move, naming change

Mon, 29 Sep 2014

Johan de Nysschen isn't afraid of taking quick, decisive actions, even if they are criticized. Since taking the wheel at Cadillac, he instigated moving the luxury division's base of operations to Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood and introduced a new naming scheme for the future of the brand, like he did at Infiniti. The polarizing boss recently explained his feelings about the future of Cadillac in more depth on his Facebook page, but unfortunately only his friends could read it. Thankfully, Daily Kanban posted much of the strongly worded missive for the whole world to see.
Much of the message examines the decision to move some employees to New York. De Nysschen claims that it's all about giving Cadillac distance from Detroit to reshape itself. It allows for, "No distractions. No side shows. No cross-brand corporate considerations. No homogenized lowest common denominator approach. Just pure, unadulterated, CLASS."
