1984 Cadillac Coupe Deville Wow Pink!! 59,500 Miles on 2040-cars
Dickson City, Pennsylvania, United States
I am listing this car for my friend. This is a 1984 Cadillac Coupe deVille. It is a nice clean car! Garage kept! Runs and drives very nice! Very well maintained! Air conditioning blows cold! Everything works as it should, except for the power door locks and the radio. The radio comes on and lights up, but it has no sound. This just happened. It could be the antenna, not sure. The body and paint are very nice! No visible signs of rust. Does have some minor chips. But all in all it is very nice driver quality! It is a very nice shade of PINK! It is pink everywhere. Not sure if this is a factory color. Inside the trunk, door jams, etc. it is PINK. Chrome is nice! But it is starting to show its age. It has a nice shine, but there is little rust on the back bumper, as shown in the pictures. The white vinyl top is like new! The tires are like new! They are Cokers, correct white wall! The interior is beautiful white leather with VERY MINIMAL wear! The door panels are very nice! No cracks. The dash is very nice! No cracks! The headliner is new! Also, rugs are very nice! WHO DOESN'T WANT A PINK CADILLAC! I have described it as best I could. If you want further information on the car you can email me or you can call the owner Jack, at 570-954-1314 The car is being sold as is. Buyer to pay all shipping costs Will work with shipper.

Cadillac's Euro reboot may have implications for US models, sales
Fri, 11 Apr 2014Firmly on the comeback trail in the US, Cadillac is still trying to get out of the starting blocks in Europe. At the Geneva Motor Show in March, Cadillac' senior execs revealed plans to grow the brand's presence in a luxury market dominated by the big three German marques, Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
GM President Dan Ammann says he sees "enormous" potential for Cadillac globally.
Over the past 20 years, the General Motors premium nameplate has tried and failed multiple times to break into the European market. This time around, Cadillac recognizes that progress will be modest at best, and depends on specific changes to models, some of which may impact the brand's US lineup. Planned new sales tactics in Europe may also impact the way Cadillac does business on this side of the pond.
Poor headlights cause 40 cars to miss IIHS Top Safety Pick rating
Mon, Aug 6 2018Over the past few months, we've noticed a number of cars and SUVs that have come incredibly close to earning one of the IIHS's highest accolades, the Top Safety Pick rating. They have great crash test scores and solid automatic emergency braking and forward collision warning systems. What trips them up is headlights. That got us wondering, how many vehicles are there that are coming up short because they don't have headlights that meet the organization's criteria for an "Acceptable" or "Good" rating. This is a revision made after 2017, a year in which headlights weren't factored in for this specific award. This is also why why some vehicles, such as the Ford F-150, might have had the award last year, but have lost it for this year. We reached out to someone at IIHS to find out. He responded with the following car models. Depending on how you count, a whopping 40 models crash well enough to receive the rating, but don't get it because their headlights are either "Poor" or "Marginal." We say depending on how you count because the IIHS actual counts truck body styles differently, and the Infiniti Q70 is a special case. Apparently the version of the Q70 that has good headlights doesn't have adequate forward collision prevention technology. And the one that has good forward collision tech doesn't have good enough headlights. We've provided the entire list of vehicles below in alphabetical order. Interestingly, it seems the Volkswagen Group is having the most difficulty providing good headlights with its otherwise safe cars. It had the most models on the list at 9 split between Audi and Volkswagen. GM is next in line with 7 models. It is worth noting again that though these vehicles have subpar headlights and don't quite earn Top Safety Pick awards, that doesn't mean they're unsafe. They all score well enough in crash testing and forward collision prevention that they would get the coveted award if the lights were better.
Expect greater differentiation in GM's next-generation SUVs
Thu, 03 Jan 2013General Motors says its next-generation Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade models will offer shoppers improved interior differentiation. Car and Driver recently caught up with Chris Hilts, GM's creative manager of interior design, who said that the cabins will all feature unique instrument panels, consoles, center stacks and switchgear moving forward. Apparently GM is now aware that consumers may be bothered by the fact that today's $85,000 Escalade has effectively the same cabin as a $45,000 Tahoe. Hilts says SUV buyers want more refinement than their pickup purchasing counterparts - and those same buyers also want their SUVs to have more exterior differentiation between the company's Silverado and Sierra pickup lines. Shocking.
That all sounds good to us, but we've heard this song and dance before. GM made big waves about how different the new-for-2013 Silverado and Sierra would look from each other, but judging by what we've seen so far, GM's stylists are painting in shades rather than with the full spectrum.
