     Up for auction this week is a beautiful Triple White Cadillac Coupe Deville in great condition inside and out. This car has lived the last 20 years in museum collections. Its a true rust free, all original car! This is the debut year for the sleeker redesigned Deville lineup, replacing the bigger Cadillac's of the early 70's. Also gone was the fuel guzzling 500ci, which was replaced with the all new Cadillac 425ci V8.This car was bought brand new at AW Golden Cadillac in Reading, PA and has traveled only 8,400 miles over the last 36 years!       This is a very rare original low mileage, triple white Deville. The car has all original paint and has aged quite gracefully and still looks as good as the day it rolled off the lot without a single door ding or scratch. The rear filler panels do appear to have been replaced and repainted at some point, which is very common. This car is a totally solid, rust free car and has been garaged and pampered its whole life. The underside of the rockers, quarters, fenders, and floor boards are solid as a rock. The car was an original Pennsylvania car so it has been undercoated at the dealer. All correct trim and emblems are present and in great shape. The chrome is in excellent like new condition. The vinyl top is very nice as well with no rips or tears. All of the glass is original and the windshield is crack-free. The car also still retains its locking Cadillac hubcaps to keep this Caddy Classy. The car is riding on brand new white wall radials.

      The interior is all original and in excellent condition. Door panels, dash and carpet are all very nice with zero damage or cracks. The dash, headliner, and even the wood inlay and horn pad trim is in great shape. All of the rubbers throughout the car have remained in like new condition and are still very soft and pliable. Power windows, locks, seat, wipers, and defog work correctly. The climate control was just serviced and works correctly with cold A/C. Even the original Am/Fm and power antenna work like new!

      The trunk compartment is in brand new condition and has all of the original cardboard and original black carpeting which looks very nice. The spare is also still aboard as well as the jack and all original tools. This car has the electric trunk close which still works!

      Mechanically, this Cadillac runs GREAT! This car features the 425ci Cadillac V8. The engine starts right up and runs very smooth. The transmission shifts smooth as well. The car handles and rides just like a Cadillac should! The engine compartment is all original with the exception of the block was just professionally cleaned and repainted GM Corporate Blue. The rest of the engine compartment is very clean and still retains original decals and even the final inspection date when it rolled off the line. The car was tuned up at the time of the engine repaint and the original plugs and wires were replaced.Also all hoses, belts, fluids, brakes, master cylinder, and tires have been recently freshened up.

      The car includes two sets of keys, spare tire, jacking equipment, owner?s manual, and even a full set of the original floor mats.

      All in all, this is one nice Cadillac. Its classy Triple White color scheme gets compliments every time I drive it. It has been well maintained and truly loved by its previous owner. These 70's era Cadillac vehicles are becoming more and more collectible as the older ones disappear into collections, especially well maintained, super low mileage, California cars like this. This Cadillac is the kind of condition you can enjoy everyday or save it as an investment because with the kind of condition it is and its classic body lines, it is now and will forever be a classic. 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe

Cadillac has become a very, very different company since the dawn of the new millenium. Its turn-of-the-century lineup, consisting of staid offerings like the Seville, DeVille and Eldorado, represented the Old Cadillac. These cars were plagued with Old GM quality issues and catered to a more elderly audience. Since the company's Art and Science design language arrived, though, we've seen Cadillac flesh out its lineup in a big way, introducing notable and (so far) enduring products, like the the CTS, SRX and most recently, the ATS.
With the CTS tackling the 5 Series segment and the SRX duking it out with the Lexus RX and its classmates, the ATS has been left with the tough task of battling the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class, among others. Critically, at least, it has excelled in this role, but it's still working on finding its feet sales-wise. On paper, broadening the model range by adding a two-door personal luxury coupe could help.
After a week with the ATS Coupe, though, we've found a car that, while retaining the standard model's excellent driving character, doesn't quite offer enough visual excitement to stand up to other cars in its segment.

Cadillac to augment dealers with 700 'boutique' stores

Johan de Nysschen is on a mission to revitalize Cadillac. Since taking over as chief executive of the American luxury brand, the former Audi and Infiniti exec has set about moving the brand's headquarters to New York, switched advertising firms, launched a completely new naming scheme for its model line, and has a whole raft of new products planned. And now he's working on changing how its dealer network operates. Speaking at both the Washington Auto Show and the NADA dealers' convention in San Francisco this week, de Nysschen has outlined a new plan for its US dealers. The network presently consists of over 900 stores – some 200 of which are stand-alone Cadillac dealers, with the remaining 700 attached to other GM brand showrooms. Contrary to earlier fears, de Nysschen notes that the dealer network is larger and covers more territory than those of import brands, and has no intention of cutting that number down. But he is asking those 700 mixed-brand dealers to create a new showroom experience for Cadillac customers. In this latest announcement, Cadillac refers to a new model of "boutique" showrooms that will encompass new technologies, higher-trained staff and luxury amenities to give those attached Cadillac showrooms a more unique feel. The plan includes installing "virtual showroom" systems that will allow potential customers to configure a new car using interactive displays and "potentially even holograms." The plan also calls for "new standards for compensation... with more precise alignment of local sales and potential for each dealer" in order to make sure that the requisite investment in the infrastructure and staff training are worthwhile for the dealers. Just what form these new systems will take, we don't know at this point. Nor are we sure why Cadillac isn't including its 200 stand-alone "flagship" dealers in the initiative. But we're sure we'll be finding out more about de Nysschen's plans on the dealer front in due course. Cadillac Discusses U.S. Dealer Network Development 2015-01-22 WASHINGTON, D.C. – As part of Cadillac's overall mission to expand and elevate within the premium automotive sector, the brand today outlined its strategy to upgrade its U.S. dealer network. Speaking at both the Washington, D.C. Auto Show today, and this weekend's annual National Auto Dealers Association convention in San Francisco, Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen will outline how the brand will target enhancements in the customer experience.
