1973 Cadillac M+m Side Loader Hearse on 2040-cars
Elk Grove, California, United States
My 1973 Hearse needs no smog. Runs great! Has had recent engine rebuild approx. 15k miles ago. Bought from mortuary about 2 years ago. Selling due to completion of finishing my other hearse. Purchased from mortuary in Walnut Creek, California. Vehicle has been professionally maintained. The mortuary bought a new hearse in 2006 and used this one a little and then parked it in a garage. until I bought it 2 years ago.. Car runs great. Paint is a little dry on the hood. Roof is painted wrinkle paint and is in nice shape for it's age. Has AM FM radio and AC. AC does not blow cold. I put on chrome wheels. Brakes are almost new. This 472 CI has great power and gets 15 MPG. That is pretty good around town with this size car. Would not be afraid to take on a long trip. This as a side loader and has all the mechanics. Used once out back. Coffin does not come with car, but will make a deal to whoever buys car. Interior is in good shape. Call with any questions -Michael @ 916-214-3079

The Beast 2.0: What the 2016 presidential election winner will ride in
Thu, Aug 11 2016The current presidential limousine, which is referred to as "The Beast," will be altered for the next President of the United States. Our photographers managed to capture the vehicle testing. " The Beast 2.0" will follow closely behind the current presidential limousine that's built upon a rugged commercial truck chassis and has a sedan-like body. Instead of wearing styling details from the now-retired Cadillac STS, the new presidential limo appears to borrow looks from the latest Escalade and the CT6 sedan. The bomb-proof prototype is wearing LED headlights, has a more angular grille that features Cadillac's wreathless crest, and ditches regular antennas for a shark fin unit. Other than these changes, the Beast 2.0 should still be able to house seven passengers and have enough protection to be one of the safest vehicles on the planet. The prototype looks like it's higher off the ground, as well, which should help the next president to avoid an embarrassing moment. There's no word on whether the Beast 2.0 will be ready in time for the next president presidential inauguration in January, but our photographers report that GM recently stepped up its testing for the limousine at its Milford Proving Grounds. 40+ cars that barely avoid the gas guzzler tax
Thu, 24 Jul 2014
The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.
Ghostbusters trailer stars Ecto1 and a quartet of actresses
Thu, Mar 3 2016"Um... you didn't disclose that the vehicle was going to be a hearse," says funnywoman Melissa McCarthy in the brand-spankin'-new trailer for the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot. Traditionalist fans may be similarly angered by the vehicle's basis, since the original Ecto1 was an ambulance, not a vehicle for the dead. Leslie Jones' response to McCarthy wasn't meant to answer those critics, but it does a good job of it anyway: "It's a Cadillac!" Naturally, there's a lot more to look at in the new trailer than just the Ecto1. There are, obviously, ghosts. Lots of 'em, in fact. There's also an opening piano sequence that's pretty darn great, but we ought to warn you that if you watch the video up above, you're going to be humming the theme from Ghostbusters for the rest of the day. We're sorry, but it simply cannot be avoided. You've been warned. Related Video:
