1972 Cadillac Deville - Amazing Pristine One-owner Original on 2040-cars

Year:1972 Mileage:43632
Location:

Evansville, Indiana, United States

Evansville, Indiana, United States

Amazingly pristine and original one-owner car.  Popular '72 Willow & Jade color combination.  100% original factory paint, interior, drivetrain, everything.  No body work, sprayed panels, or restoration ever.  Babied by extremely particular owner, then kept in garage under cover, untouched, by his son and grandson after he passed away in the 80s.  Kept as a preserved memory of the owner who loved and cared for this car. Engine and underneath never sprayed or detailed other than gentle cleaning. Post-storage maintenance items have been professionally completed…fuel tank cleaned, carb cleaned, gas lines blown out, shocks replaced, water pump replaced, filters and sparks replaced.  Tires were replaced once with correct BF Goodrich radials.  Have only 8k miles on them. Owner recorded all maintenance details meticulously in the owners manual. Runs and drives beautifully, just like new.  472 ci engine has full power in 1972, prior to emissions regs throttling power. Everything works.  Includes all records. Kept in climate controlled garage.  Selling by private owner only due to space constraints.  No dealer has ever had this car other than when new. This is an incredible car for the Cadillac enthusiast who appreciates an impeccably kept original. Better condition than many cars with 5-10k miles. Clear title. Serious buyers can submit questions or call Craig at 408-508-8221.  I am a 20+ year member of the Cadillac LaSalle Club. For those who know these cars, an untouched original like this does not come along very often. Car location is my climate controlled garage in Evansville, IN.

Cadillac's new ad campaign to tell you how to get lucky

Thu, 05 Sep 2013

Cadillac is set to launch a new ad campaign this fall, as it attempts to maintain the momentum established by new models like the ATS. The campaign comes from an agency called Rogue, and according to AdAge, will lean on American values. It's called, "Work Hard. Be Lucky."
The campaign is fairly self-explanatory, just from the tagline. It's meant to make a Cadillac seem more attainable to the average, aspirational buyer. It does kind of pander to that American idea that everyone's hard work gets rewarded, but as ad campaigns go, that's not a bad thing.
Somehow, it doesn't roll off the tongue quite like "The Standard of the World." As AdAge points out, Cadillac's advertising over the years has lacked a real coherent theme, although we'll admit to enjoying the most recent campaigns, particularly the around-the-world jaunts with the ATS. It's unclear if the "Work Hard. Be Lucky." theme will evolve into an actual tagline for the brand, with Caddy spokesman Dave Caldwell telling the advertising mag, "It could very easily end up being a line of copy along with other lines; we don't really know yet. It's an open question as to how dramatically it will be featured."

11 vehicles from Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas worth watching

Fri, 26 Sep 2014

This weekend will see the world's collector car crowds descend on Las Vegas, NV for one of the biggest shows on Barrett-Jackson's popular auction circuit. There are hundreds of vehicles up for bidding, ranging from a brand-new Lamborghini Aventador to a spattering of Art Deco classics and a huge swath of classic muscle cars.
While it's virtually impossible to assemble an inarguable list of the best cars coming during the three-day, 700-plus vehicle auction, we've sifted through the listings for this year's show - it was a tough assignment, we promise - and assembled a list of what we think will be some of the most interesting lots. We'll admit, it's a bit heavy on American iron, but if you browse BJ's listings, you'll come to a similar conclusion. Still, scroll down for our list of what we think will be the most interesting vehicles at the upcoming auction.

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit

Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.
