First off, I am listing this car for my father who is the 3rd owner and has owned it since the early 90's. He is available for questions and I encourage you to ask any prior to bidding. All questions need to be sent through the contact seller option. Up for auction is a 1968 Cadillac De Ville Convertible. Like I said above he is the 3rd owner of this car and the previous owner bought it in 69. This car is what we would call a "survivor w/paint" as the paint was freshened up in the 90's with minor body work performed, dings and such taken out. The car has zero rust including the original floorboards. In fact it has the original carpet and floor mats are still in it. The original leather seats are in great shape, and there is factory AM/FM radio in an uncut dash. Paint is shiny and glossy and the original chrome still glistens in the sun. The car has all of the Cadillac options you would expect with power everything and A/C. The original top was just replaced last year and a fresh set of tires installed. The convertible top boot looks like brand new and may have never even been on the car until my dad bought it. Previous owners had it stored under cover and dad has had it in a garage for the entire time he has owned it. There are only 84,050 original miles on this piece of American Classic Luxury. It has a 472cu in V-8 motor and a turbo 400 automatic transmission. A fresh battery has just been installed and the car runs and drives like a Cadillac should. OnStar RemoteLink mobile app coming standard on all new GM vehicles
Thu, 06 Jun 2013As an evolution and improvement of its OnStar technology, General Motors has announced that it will be expanding the RemoteLink Mobile App on most 2014 model year Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac vehicles. The new, aptly named RemoteLink Key Fob Services will allow users to remotely operate all of the same systems as the car's key fob, including locking and unlocking the doors and remote starting (on vehicles equipped with a factory remote starter) using a smartphone.
These Key Fob Services will be free for five years - starting from the vehicle's delivery date - but the full suite of RemoteLink features will continue to be offered only with a subscription (trial or paid). These premium features include contacting a live adviser, getting turn-by-turn directions and remotely monitoring the vehicle's diagnostic systems.

2014 Cadillac CTS starts $7k higher than last model at $46,025*
Thu, 13 Jun 2013The redesigned 2014 Cadillac CTS will be more powerful, stylish and luxurious than its predecessor, but it will also be much more expensive. With a new starting price of $46,025 (*including $925 for destination), the 2014 CTS represents a price increase of more than $7,000 compared to the 2013 model, but it should be more appropriately sized and equipped to take on rivals like the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, which start at $47,800 and $51,900, respectively.
Available trim levels - referred to as Collections - include Luxury, Performance and Premium, offering either a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder or a 3.6-liter V6 and the choice of either rear- or all-wheel-drive configurations. For more performance, the all-new CTS Vsport model will have an asking price of $59,995. This 420-horsepower model is more powerful than both the BMW 550i and Mercedes E550 and about $2,000 less expensive than both.
There's still no word on what Cadillac has in store for a next-gen CTS-V sedan, but we're guessing power and price will both rise considerably. Scroll down for more info on the 2014 CTS that is set to go on sale this fall.
2014 Cadillac ELR whirs into Jay Leno's Garage
Tue, 18 Jun 2013While Jerry Seinfeld was gallivanting around LA with Sarah Silverman in a Jaguar XKE, our favorite car-loving comedian, Jay Leno, was checking out the all-new 2014 Cadillac ELR. Set to go on sale later this year, Cadillac brought its ELR to Jay Leno's Garage to show off some of its styling and technology as well as give Leno some seat time in the range-extended EV. Leno owns both a Volt and a CTS-V, and the ELR is a kind combination of the two (sort of).
In this episode, Leno spends some time talking to Frank Saucedo, GM director of advanced design, and ELR chief engineer Chris Thomason before logging a few miles on the sleek coupe. Interestingly, it seems that GM has definitely changed its tune a little since the introduction of the Volt a couple years ago; Saucedo and Leno both refer to the ELR as a hybrid, and Thomason says that it gets the "bulk of its propulsion" from the electric motors.
