Lansdale, Pennsylvania, United States

I bought this car 5 years ago off ebay and got screwed. It was supposed to be a daily driver that ran and looked ok. IT WAS FAR FROM IT!!!!! I was left no choice but to fix it, im an autobody tech and the last thing I wanted to do was to work on my car during my time off. So here is a list of what Ive done. Engine and Trans were rebuilt, And I installed the following brand new, Master cylinder and brake booster, Steering box, carburetor, fuel lines on motor, complete engine wire harness from firewall to engine including all the lights and horns etc. calipers, rotors, pads, AC compressor, Power steering pump, motor mounts, belts, Y pipe coming off exhaust manifolds, battery, condensor, heater core, all coolant hoses, all rubber brake lines, Every single component of the front suspension....EVERYTHING! All new rubber for the windows, trunk and doors, 4 brand new tires, while engine was out I painted the engine bay including the engine and front section of frame. Its basically brand new from the winsheild forward.

I have a used dashboard, rear springs, engine decals, lock cylinders for trunk and driver door. This car runs really good but needs some TLC to be a perfect daily driver. All the hard work is done now it just needs some minor body work and paint to be beautiful again. I have twin boys coming next month and Im assuming I wont have much time to finish this car and plus Im going to need the room for strollers now. I have over $25,000.00 invested in this car NOT including my labor. Feel free to email me with any questions.

Just to answer some of the emails I received I wanted to add this to the page. When I say "20 footer" I mean it looks amazing from 20ft away. There are other things that do not work and may be missing on this vehicle such as trunk lock cylinder but I have one for the buyer in the vehicle so it can be installed. Also the turn signals do not work, needs a turn signal cam. The engine runs pretty good but due to the choke and fast idle cam and possible vacuum hoses not being adjusted correctly can be the cause. Like I said Everything was relpaced new and now its just a matter of adjusting things and getting the vacuum correct. If your expecting a perfectly running car DONT BID!!! Before bidding please email me to go over any specifics that may not be listed. This is a great car to restore, The hard greasy miserable part is done. Dont pass up this oppertunity! I spent $1400.00 alone just on rubber seals, $600.00 for a engine wire harness, $1000.00 for the transmission. I spent $6000.00 on rockauto.com on parts! $1000.00 on tires, $50.00 for a original 1968 fuel filter. If you are unsure of anything please email me before bidding and ill get back to you as soon as I can. I don't want to screw anyone like I got screwed years ago. ASK QUESTIONS!!!!

Having said all of that keep in mind I drive this vehicle on the highway at speeds over 65mph.

I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime.

De Nysschen says Cadillac will be ready for a $250,000 model in 15 years

Fri, Nov 21 2014

Cadillac president Johan de Nysschen has some very, very lofty goals for the American luxury car manufacturer. That's according to a new report from Reuters, where the former Audi and Infiniti exec says that Cadillac is only 15 years away from selling a $250,000 car. "It is too early today for a $250,000 Cadillac," de Nysschen told Reuters at the LA Auto Show. "Fifteen years from now, it won't be." Now, provided de Nysschen doesn't envision a future of hyper-inflation, where an ATS rings up at $200K and a CTS at $225,000, the idea that Cadillac could sell a car worth a quarter-of-a-million dollars in just 15 short years is the very definition of ambitious. That's doubly true when you realize that, at present, Cadillac's most expensive vehicle is the Escalade ESV Platinum, which costs no more than $97,940, while de Nysschen said the upcoming CT6 sedan will be priced "in the 70s." What do you think? Could a Cadillac that costs well over twice as much as the brand's most expensive current vehicle be a reality in the distant future? Or is de Nysschen aiming too high too soon? Let us know what you think in Comments. News Source: ReutersImage Credit: Jae C. Hong / AP Cadillac Luxury cadillac ct6

2016 Cadillac CT6 has arrived

Wed, Apr 1 2015

We have known for a while that the 2015 New York Auto Show would mark the debut of Cadillac's latest flagship model. But after months of waiting as Caddy slowly revealed details, the 2016 Cadillac CT6 has finally arrived. The sedan is a technological tour de force for the brand and inaugurates a long list of new technologies. The CT6 will begin production at the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly plant in late 2015 and will go on sale with three engine options. Caddy won't release final figures yet, but based on preliminary numbers, we know the base 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder will make 265 horsepower. Stepping up to the newly revised 3.6-liter V6 will net buyers an estimated 335 hp, and finally there will be the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with an output of around 400 hp. All of these engines will be mated to eight-speed automatic transmissions, and six-cylinder models will get standard all-wheel drive that will be able to constantly vary the power sent to the front wheels. Carrying those powertrains is the new, aluminum-intensive Omega architecture. In addition to the lightweight metal making up the platform, the entire exterior also uses it to provide an estimated curb weight of less than 3,700 pounds. The decision to shed mass makes the CT6 a featherweight in its class – for comparison, the lightest, six-cylinder Audi A8 weighs 4,365 pounds. The sedan rides on a 122.4-inch wheelbase and is 204 inches long. That makes the Cadillac about 1.3 inches shorter than the smallest BMW 7 Series, but the Caddy is projected to tip the scales at less than both the big Bimmer and even the 5 Series, too. Cadillac wants the CT6 to be a luxury sedan that drivers can enjoy. In addition to the low weight, there's an available Active Chassis System throughout the range with rear-wheel steering and Magnetic Ride Control. When combined with the all-wheel-drive system, it means every corner of the car is both driving and steering the vehicle. Inside, the CT6 offers a ton of tech and luxury. Drivers are held in massaging, leather seats, and rear passengers also get adjustable chairs that are heated and cooled. Quad-zone climate controls keep everyone comfortable. Plus, in addition to the 34-speaker Bose audio system and streaming rearview mirror, there are features like a 10.2-inch CUE infotainment system with a capacitive touchscreen and console-mounted touchpad. The display also shows a 360-degree view outside and can even record video when the security system is activated.

Cadillac ATS was almost front-wheel drive

Wed, 03 Apr 2013

"We were going to do a front-wheel drive Cadillac compact off of Delta because it was going to be less expensive," Doug Parks, General Motors' vice president of global product programs, told the Automotive News during the Detroit Auto Show in January of this year. That sentence, referring to early ATS discussions more than five years ago - a period when the automaker, and the industry, was struggling - reveals that Cadillac's highly acclaimed rear-wheel drive compact sedan almost never happened.
Parks revealed that that automaker actually built a 2.0-liter test mule, on GM's Delta platform (shared with the Chevrolet Cruze and Buick Verano) and tested it in Europe. While the prototype was "pretty darn good," according to Parks, the team realized that in order to compete against Mercedes-Benz and BMW it would have to invest in a new rear-wheel drive platform.
The resulting all-new Alpha platform would eventually underpin the Cadillac ATS, and many would argue that its balanced rear-wheel drive chassis is its single most important attribute. Thankfully, the Alpha's goodness won't stop with the ATS. The upcoming 2014 Cadillac CTS and the future Camaro will also share its architecture, meaning the Cimarron will remain a distant memory.
