1968 Cadillac Calais Sedan Deville

Vehicle Condition Disclosure

Today I have for you my beautiful 1968 Cadillac Calais. I've owned this car for the past 3 years. Let me start by saying this Cadillac runs and drives absolutely fantastic! The prior owner gave me the back story on this caddy and the mileage is correct at 44k. Driving and working on this Cadillac as much as I have has only reaffirmed the mileage is true. The exterior is beautiful as you can see from the photos. The paint shows no fading and feels like glass. It has a few small minor chips here and there, nothing out of the norm. The chrome still shows quite nicely but the drivers side tail light does have a small dent. The interior is very nice, the seats have no issues. The headliner has no rips or tears but one of the metal bands underneath needs to be adjusted. Carpet is very nice. New carpet In trunk installed a year ago. I've gone through the motor at length and this Cadillac is ready to go! This Calais has power seats, windows, brakes and steering. Cruise control and AC. Yes, the AC woks. There is an after market radio in glove box that works. The original radio is in the car but not hooked up. All the windows go up and down without issues but can only be controlled from drivers side door. Folks this is a great Cadillac, I've tried to take care of her the best I can. She is a fantastic daily driver. You can go pick up the groceries and stop off at your local car show on the way home and turn a lot of heads. I welcome anyone to come look and drive it. Who ever drives this car, will buy it! I will consider PARTIAL trades for another classic. My number is 315-264-9369. Call me with any questions or concerns. This Cadillac is going no reserve so don't let it slip by! Good luck!

Cadillac ATS Crimson Sport Edition is here for a limited run

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

The Cadillac ATS has been a well-received entry into the small sport sedan segment for General Motors' premium brand, but keeping the model fresh is an understandably high priority. A two-door coupe variant is on the way and should help keep interest up, but the line's volume leader is still expected to be the sedan. In order to keep awareness high and sales going, GM will need to lavish a little attention on its four-door, as well. That's where the Crimson Sport Edition comes in.
Crimson Red Metallic paint is the exterior highlight for this special-edition Cadillac, while the interior is complemented with a number of microsuede touchpoints, including the heated steering wheel and shifter. To this point, the car's rich burgundy finish has only been offered on CTS-V Coupe and Sport Wagon models, and brand spokesperson Donny Nordlicht tells Autoblog that this is the first time that the company has offered a microsuede wheel with heat. Four interior trims are also available, although all have been seen previously.
The Crimson Sport will be limited to production this spring, and the trimmings can be added to either the 2.0T Performance or the V6 Premium specifications. Both rear- and all-wheel drive will be available, as well. Prices start at $46,010 for the turbocharged model and $51,010 for the V6 including destination fees, which represents a premium of $2,990 for the extra equipment.

Cadillac SRX likely to see next-gen built in China

Tue, 08 Jul 2014

Here's some shocking news to no one: People love crossovers, including those living in China. Since introducing the Cadillac SRX there in 2009, the model's sales have gone through the roof. Now, the brand is considering moving some production of the next-generation model in China to eliminate import tariffs and make it an even bigger player in the market.
According to a recent report in The Wall Street Journal, the crossover is leading Cadillac's Chinese growth, despite its US-equivalent price of over $67,000 after the country's high import tariffs. The CUV's sales are up 23 percent there so far this year, and it's responsible for over 40 percent of the brand's sales. John Stadwick, General Motors' VP of sales, service and marketing in China, told the WSJ that GM could "very possibly" build the next-gen model there.
The SRX is Cadillac's golden goose in China, and it just keeps pushing the brand's sales forward. "It's the vehicle that took us out of being a small niche in the market," said David Caldwell, Cadillac Communications Manager, to Autoblog. Before the CUV, Caddy was selling a little over 20,000 cars a year there, but partially thanks to the crossover's success, the brand sold 50,000 vehicles last year and could reach 60,000 this year. "The SRX is the most popular Cadillac in that market," he said.

Cadillac HQ has a New York address

Sun, 16 Nov 2014

The new home of Cadillac will be in the 330 Hudson building in New York City's Hudson Square, putting the luxury marque smack dab in the middle of three of the city's hippest areas, SoHo, Greenwich Village and Tribeca.
The announcement is yet another milestone in the company's controversial decision to relocate administrative and marketing operations away from Detroit and into the Big Apple.
"The addition of a headquarters office in New York is a key step in Cadillac's ongoing global expansion," Cadillac boss Johan de Nysschen said, according to The Detroit Free Press. "There is no better atmosphere in which to better immerse ourselves into luxury consumer and brand expertise."
