1967 Cadillac Coupe DeVille
This vehicle is driven periodically, registered and PA state inspected good until December 2013 (not antique tag). I have put a little over 1000 miles on it in the last year or so. When I purchased it, the transmission was slipping. I had the automatic transmission completely rebuilt by Werner Transmission in East Bangor, PA. Ralph Werner has over 30 years experience with automatic transmissions. He informed me that someone had replaced the valve body with an incorrect unit for this year. Werner converted this to a stock TH-400 and it shifts perfectly smooth and firm. I bought 4 new whitewall tires for the car which also have less than 1500 miles on them. The trunk lining was soaked from a leak somewhere in the rear so I removed the lining as it was all rotten. There were two holes in the pan which I have sealed with metal plates. The engine starts and runs fine when warm but the carburetor could use a rebuild. I disconnected the choke plate since the linkage was loose and it was in the way. I have the choke plate in a box which just screws back onto the choke shaft. In cold starts you just have to pump the carb a few times to get it to start. There is an exhaust noise which I believe is coming from the left (driver) side, possibly in the manifold area. The A/C compressor is not connected (belt removed) and may be seized. The heat/defrost blower works ok as well as the climate control. The radio lights up but there is no sound from it. The power windows work, although the driver's side window is a little slow. This car has passed PA State Safety inspection twice and is good to drive in PA until the end of this year. You can drive this as is and as you work on it. The paint is an older re-paint job that appears to have been oxidized while the car was left to sit outside by a previous owner. There are some bubbles in the usual places. The interior is mildewed in spots, and the front bench seat is ripped on the driver's side. I have kept the car in a dry garage and not driven it outdoors because of the leaks to the interior. They may just be sealing around the windows, I am not sure. The trim strips around the right side and rear that are seen missing in the photos I have kept on the side - some new plastic clips are needed to secure the trim pieces back in place.
Between the transmission rebuild, the new tires, and various ignition components (plugs/wires/cap/rotor) and belts, I have invested about $2000 into the vehicle, in addition to the original purchase price I paid for it. It runs and drives fine and can be uses as-is although I never drive it very far from home, it has never given me a problem on the road.
If interested, please contact me through eBay to arrange an inspection/test drive. If you wish to have the car trailered, you must make all the arrangements. I will not sign over, transfer or send title until all payments are cleared.
Thanks!

2016 Cadillac CT6 First Drive [w/video]
Tue, Jan 26 2016Cadillac moved to New York, renamed its cars and crossovers, and made cutting-edge technology one of its pillars. It's fighting hard to attract new customers and kill its outdated reputation as an old-man car brand in the United States. Change happens slowly, and then sometimes, all at once. Enter the 2016 Cadillac CT6. This is Cadillac's range-topping sedan. It's almost as long as the Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7 Series, yet in some configurations, it's lighter than their smaller siblings, the E-Class and 5 Series. The CT6 is a rolling showcase of General Motors' latest and best technologies, with potential breakthrough features like Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving waiting in the wings. It comes in a wide variety of flavors. The CT6 starts as low as $54,490 with a four-cylinder engine and rear-wheel drive, which is the car that Cadillac hopes will be cross-shopped with the mid-tier Germans. The top-end CT6 Platinum with all-wheel drive and the 404-horsepower V6 begins at $84,460, and it could make S-Class and 7 Series buyers rethink American luxury. Put simply, the CT6 means everything to Cadillac, but it will mean different things to its customers. It can be the executive chauffeur with all the backseat accouterments. Or it can be the massive yet somehow kinda sporty and nimble rear-wheel-drive sedan that weighs only 3,657 pounds. We tried both versions and came away impressed with both the strategy and the execution. It's a little strange to think that Cadillac doesn't offer a V8 in its biggest sedan. Taking the wheel on a sunny, cool day in rural San Diego County, we wonder if a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine has what it takes to really move this giant. Our concerns quickly dissipate – this engine is also under the hood of the Chevy Camaro, and its 265 hp and 295 pound-feet of torque are more than up for the task. The big sedan handles curvy mountain roads adeptly. There's not a lot of roll for a car this size, even when we're aggressively whipping through tight turns. This poise comes from the CT6's rigid, lightweight aluminum and steel structure called Omega. We switch through the driving modes but settle on sport for the dash to the lunch spot. The steering is surprisingly tight and the brakes have strong response with little pedal travel. After a quick bite in an old mining town called Julian, we take off in the spotlight CT6, the Platinum trim, powered by the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6. It's an enjoyable car to stretch out on the highway.
Cadillac back on track with 600-hp ATS-V.R racer in FIA GT3 spec [w/video]
Fri, 14 Nov 2014There was already a rumor brewing that Cadillac might eschew the CTS as its racecar next season in favor of the ATS Coupe. It turns out that is absolutely the case, and now we know just what this 600-horsepower, future racer looks like. The coupe might not be limited to competing in just the US, though, because it's built to FIA GT3-specifications, meaning that this Caddy is also eligible to race in over 30 series worldwide against the likes of Bentley, McLaren, Audi and other premium brands.
The heart of this massively winged Cadillac is an engine dubbed the LF4.R. It's based around the unit in the production ATS-V and CTS Vsport but with larger turbos, bigger intercoolers, side exhausts and other tricks. Cadillac claims it makes a monstrous 600 hp and 520 pound-feet of torque in unrestricted form.
As the photo above shows, the ATS-V.R also wears an aggressive aero kit with a carbon fiber front splitter, and a wing at the back that could probably double as a picnic table in a pinch. The dry weight of the whole package is quoted at about 2,900 pounds, which is around 700 pounds less than the street version.
Cadillac bids farewell to CTS-V Coupe with special edition
Mon, 12 May 2014With the introduction of the latest Cadillac CTS, we knew it would only be a matter of time before a new CTS-V would come along. Now General Motors has revealed that the next CTS-V will arrive sometime next year, but before it does, the company is sending off the outgoing coupe with a special edition.
For 2015, the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe will come in a limited edition of 500 units decked out with a dark grille treatment, satin-finish wheels, red brake calipers and an upgraded cabin. The interior is decked out Recaro seats trimmed in black with red stitching, Midnight Sapele wood trim, metal pedals and a microsuede-trimmed steering wheel and shifter.
Buyers will be able to opt for white, gray or optional black exterior paint, an available sunroof and a six-speed transmission in either manual or automatic configuration. Of course, the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 comes standard with 556 horsepower, as does Magnetic Ride Control and brakes by Brembo. Pricing will be announced closer to launch, but in the mean time, you can read all there is to know by checking out the official release below.
