I have decided to sell my 1965 Cadillac De Ville Convertible. She is an amazing cruiser with a nice recent metallic burgundy paint job, beautiful matching interior, and brand new power convertible top, and good chrome.
I wanted to be able to drive her anywhere so I had the entire drivetrain rebuilt (engine, transmission, and brakes) and got rid of the carburetor and had a TBI (Throttle Body fuel Injection) system professionally installed. Theres no pumping the pedal or adjusting needles or playing with the choke - just turn the key and go like a brand new car.
It came from the factory with AC (climate control), the automatic light sensor, power windows, power seats, and some other goodies that are all still there. The AC compressor and condenser were removed when I did the rebuild and fuel injection, but never put back in (I still have everything and it comes with the car including the brackets.)

2014 Cadillac CTS images leak out yet again
Mon, 25 Mar 2013It seems the 2014 Cadillac CTS just doesn't want to stay under wraps. For the second time in as many days, Caddy's next sedan is showing a bit more sheetmetal than the automaker would like before it is officially debuted tomorrow at the New York Auto Show.
This time, the leak comes from USA Today, and we've gone ahead and added them to our gallery of 2014 CTS images. As you may know, Cadillac will bestow the next CTS with an all-new twin-turbo V6 engine that will offer up an impressive 420 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque.
USA Today also mentions a new Vsport model but doesn't give any more details other than the fact that it will boast the twin-turbo engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Of course, all you have to do is come back to these pages for the official unveiling tomorrow afternoon for all the sordid details. In the meantime, check out the images above.
Cadillac ELR update delayed over autonomous drive systems issues
Fri, Nov 28 2014Rumors had been circulating that the 2016 Cadillac ELR would bow in Los Angeles recently, featuring, in Cadillac's own words, "engineering enhancements." The rumors and that quote are as far as it got – the updated ELR pulled a no-show in LA, and no one outside of the brand appears to know when it will appear. GM Inside News says its sources at Cadillac pinned the ELR's absence on some autonomous driving features not being ready to reveal. According to GMI, Cadillac insiders say the upgraded ELR will be a "highly autonomous vehicle," and the company needs more time to gets its systems polished. The site says "it's not unreasonable to assume that ELR will be [the] vehicle" that gets Cadillac's Super Cruise technology, but that seems a lot more involved than "engineering enhancements," and in September Cadillac said we'd see it sometime in the next two years. It's possible the wait for the 2016 ELR and its secrets might only be a couple of months: the next-generation Chevrolet Volt, which shares a platform with the ELR and whose engineering updates we know quite a bit about, is scheduled to appear at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show in January.
Johan responds to critics again about Cadillac's NY move
Wed, 15 Oct 2014Cadillac's new President Johan de Nysschen has faced a fair amount of criticism since assuming his position at the head of the American luxury manufacturer. From the company's move to New York City to a controversial new naming scheme, the first few months of his tenure have not been smooth sailing. Now, the embattled exec is firing back against his critics, notably Automotive News Editor-in-Chief Keith Crain, in a new column running in AN.
De Nysschen countered Crain's claim that the move to the Big Apple, "can only mean that someone wants to live in New York."
"The relocation decision is entirely unrelated to the personal living preferences of any Cadillac executive. No corporation would tolerate such indulgence by its leadership," de Nysschen wrote. "It is about structurally entrenching a challenge to the status quo by reinforcing the psychological and physical separation in business philosophy between the mainstream brands and GM's luxury brand."
