You are bidding on a great 1965 Cadillac Coupe DeVille! This car is a great driver for any one looking for a fun car to take out to the cruse in or looking for a car to lay some candy on.

This vehicle features a white exterior with black leather interior  and 17" Dayton knock off rims. The body of this car is very solid withe no signs of rust in any of the panels. The paint is in what I would call driver condition with some signs of bubbling. The interior is in good condition with a nice headliner and carpet there is a crack in the dash pad (see photo). The front seat does have some leather creases/cracks but the back seat is like new. The car is powered by a 429ci Cadillac engine that is great running condition. The chrome and stainless is in good condition but if you you were making a show car it would need to be resurfaced. The power windows, seats, lights, and cruise control all work. The car features air conditioning but it does not currently work. The radio in the car is currently not hooked up but the car does feature 2 Kenwood 6x9 speakers in the rear window.

The transmission in this vehicle was rebuilt about 2 years ago and has less than 1,500 miles on it since the rebuild. It was rebuilt by AAMCO.

The car has been sitting since last fall but has been started regularly. But I would suggest the buyer give the car a good once over before any long road trip in the vehicle. The frame on this car does have some signs of rust behind the front wheels but a metal worker could repair this in its current condition.

If you have any questions about this car please feel free to ask. I will do my best to answer everything you have. I have owned this car since 2008 but I sadly need to let this car go as it is time for me to move on to another project.

Cadillac's semi-autonomous Super Cruise pushed back to 2017

Thu, Jan 14 2016

It looks like General Motors is discovering just how difficult it is to bring autonomous vehicle technology fit for public consumption to market. The company has pushed back the launch of its semi-autonomous Super Cruise technology by several months. Originally promised by CEO Mary Barra for a fall 2016 debut, Super Cruise was supposed to be offered first on the new CT6 sedan. Automotive News is reporting that won't be the case, following a statement from GM confirming that the new system would be pushed to sometime in 2017. At the very least, that's a several month delay. GM cited the need to get the system right and keep owners safe, which prevented a firm date for Super Cruise's debut. Product boss Mark Reuss was more blunt, though, telling AN, "It will come out when it is ready." Super Cruise would be one of the earliest examples of driverless tech to be put into public hands, following the introduction of Tesla's semi-autonomous AutoPilot system in 2015. Most other automakers experimenting with the autonomous vehicles don't foresee public sales until early in the next decade, including Toyota, Renault-Nissan, and Volvo. Before Barra suggested a 2016 debut, GM originally aimed to introduce its semi-autonomous system in 2020. Related Video:

40+ cars that barely avoid the gas guzzler tax

Thu, 24 Jul 2014

The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.

Liberace's gilded Cadillac could be yours

Tue, 27 Aug 2013

With their chrome grilles and oversized wheels, it's hard not to notice a Cadillac these days. But this one is even more blingtastic on account of the 23.75-karat gold-leaf bodywork.
The 1931 Cadillac Golfer's Drop Head Coupé is said to have belonged to the inimitable performer Liberace, who didn't just have it covered in gold - he also had the exterior door handles plated in silver and the inside handles in 24-karat gold as well. It's also got a white leather interior and headlights that - well ahead of their time (if you'll pardon us, Mr. Tucker) - pivot with the steering wheel. All that bling is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission that pales in comparison to the seven, eight and even nine-speed gearboxes appearing on luxury sedans today.
The project was undertaken over the course of three years in the 1970s by one Jack Smith from Kansas. Smith (if that was his real name) sold it at auction in 1975, and it was most recently displayed for 12 years at a museum in Germany which claimed it was Liberace's own. The car is now going up for sale by Barons' at the Sandown Park horse racing track in Surrey, England, on September 17, when bidding starts at 85,000 pounds - equivalent to over $130,000 at today's rates.
