1965 Cadillac Coupe De Ville!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on 2040-cars
Maumee, Ohio, United States
HERE WE HAVE A CLASSIC 65 COUPE DE VILLE IN NEED OF A NEW HOME. I AM SELLING THIS CAR FOR A FRIEND WHO HAS OWNED IT FOR THE LAST TEN OR SO YEARS. HE STARTED RESTORING IT, BUT NO LONGER HAS THE TIME TO GIVE IT THE ATTENTION IT DESERVES AND NO PLACE TO STORE IT. I TOOK IT FOR A RIDE. IT SETS NICE AND LEVEL AND PURRS LIKE A KITTEN. THE ENGINE IS STRONG AND THE CAR STOPS ON A DIME.THIS WAS ORIGINALLY FROM SAN DIEGO, CA. ACTUAL MILAGE IS UNKNOWN. THE CAR IS COMPLETE WITH ALL TRIM AND ACCESSORIES. THIS CAR WAS LOADED WITH ALL AVAILABLE ACCESSORIES, INCLUDING A/C, PS, PB, PW, TILT AND TELESCOPING STEERING WHEEL, AND POWER SEAT. THE WINDOWS ALL WORK EXCEPT FOR THE PASSENGER WINDOW. I DON'T BELEIVE THE A/C WORKS BUT ALL PARTS ARE THERE. THE CAR RUNS GREAT AND GOES DOWN THE ROAD STRAIGHT. NO SMOKE OR LEAKS IN THE ENGINE. THE TRANNY HAS A SMALL LEAK AND SEEMS A BIT SLUGGISH LIKE THE VACUUM MODULATOR VALVE IS NOT GETTING VACUUM. RECENT WORK PERFORMED: NEW TIRES, RECORED RADIATOR, NEW POWER BRAKE BOOSTER AND MASTER CYLINDER, NEW BRAKES AND BRAKE LINES, NEW BATTERY, NEW GASKETS AS NEEDED INCLUDING VALVE COVER, TIMING COVER EXHAUST MANIFOLDS AND MORE. THIS BODY IS SUPER STRAIGHT. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PICTURES THERE IS SOME RUST. THE REAR DECK UNDER REAR WINDOW APPEARS TO BE THE WORST SPOT. THE FRAME APPEARS TO BE SOLID. THE FRONT FLOOR PANS ARE SOLID. THE REAR FLOOR EACH HAVE REPAIRABLE HOLES IN THEM. THE DOORS ARE SOLID AND THE GLASS IS ALL GOOD. THE HEADLINER IS IN GREAT SHAPE, JUST A BIT DIRTY.. I FORGOT TO TAKE A PICTURE OF IT. THE REAR SEAT AND INTERIOR PANELS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION OTHER THAN BEING DIRTY. THIS CAR WOULD BE A GREAT RESTORATION PROJECT OR ONE HECK OF A PARTS CAR. I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW STRAIGHT THIS BODY IS. IT NEEDS A FEW PATCH PANELS IN THE RUSTED AREAS BUT NO BODY WORK OTHERWISE. I TRIED TO TAKE DETAILED PHOTOS OF THE COMPLETE CAR, BUT IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME FOR FURTHER INFO. THIS CAR IS LOCATED IN THE TOLEDO, OHIO AREA AND IS LOCAL PICKUP ONLY UNLESS YOU MAKE ALL ARRANGMENTS FOR SHIPPING.

Cadillac shows dealers convertible rendering
Tue, 28 Oct 2014Cadillac is getting serious about revitalizing and expanding its lineup, and to that end, a new report claims that brand boss Johan de Nysschen has been showing plans for several new models to the marque's dealer body - among them, a new convertible.
The droptop which Cadillac reportedly showed its dealers in sketch form, would be based on the same platform as the ATS and CTS, those it's unclear to which (if either) of those model lines the new convertible would be added, or whether the design features a canvas or folding hardtop roof. One way or another, it would be the first time Cadillac would offer a convertible since the Corvette-based XLR roadster was discontinued more than five years ago.
Quoting an unnamed brand spokesperson, Cadillac would "like to introduce an open car to the portfolio at some point," however, "it's not likely to be one of the near-term portfolio additions."
Cadillac moving to NY as separate business unit
Tue, 23 Sep 2014Cadillac is under new leadership, and the automaker is committed to turning itself (back) into a global luxury powerhouse. It's got a strong product offensive (of products currently in showrooms, and much more on the way), and now it will have a new location to call home.
Following earlier speculation, GM has confirmed that it is moving Cadillac's base of operations from Detroit to New York. Lest you think it might rent offices in the Chrysler Building (which is, after all, one of the tallest in the city), the new Cadillac global headquarters will be located in the Soho area with a "multipurpose brand and event space in conjunction with modern loft offices." The company is still evaluating which staff will move along with it to Manhattan, and which will remain in Michigan where technical operations will still be based.
The move from Detroit to New York is the first major change being instituted by new Cadillac chief Johan de Nysschen, who previously undertook a similar shift in moving Infiniti away from Nissan headquarters to its own facility in Hong Kong. Ford had attempted a similar move in relocating its luxury portfolio under the Premier Automotive Group (which then included Lincoln, Mercury, Land Rover, Jaguar, Aston Martin and Volvo) from Dearborn to Irvine, CA, but ended up moving Lincoln (the last one still under the Ford umbrella) back to Michigan. Other luxury automakers like Audi (Volkswagen) and Maserati (Fiat) are headquartered away from their parent companies as well, but have a longer history of independent operation.
Here are all the cars GM is axing as part of its restructuring
Tue, Nov 27 2018GM plans to kill off a couple of great and a few meh cars as part of its restructuring. Here's a rundown of all the cars being phased out of production. None of the vehicles GM axed were SUVs or crossovers. Instead, it was an action reminiscent of what Ford recently decided to do by discontinuing U.S. sales every Blue Oval sedan. GM just didn't explicitly say, "We're killing our cars," like Ford did — probably a smart move by GM. Keep scrolling down to see the full list of deceased GM models. Chevrolet Volt This one was the most surprising of all the cars GM decided to can, primarily because cars with plugs are supposed to be our future. However, maybe consumer demand just isn't quite there yet for a plug-in like the Volt. We came up with all sorts of ideas for what was to blame for the untimely demise of the Volt, so go check that out for a full breakdown of the situation. Cadillac CT6 Here's another car we'll be sad to see go. Cadillac's flagship sedan was such a joy to drive, and it served as the conduit to deliver GM's semi-autonomous Super Cruise system, which still hasn't been surpassed by any other company's technology in our books, even Tesla's Autopilot. That being said, GM does plan to produce the CT6 until March, with the last cars coming off the line set to be twin-turbo V8 V-Series models. If it's going to go, this seems like a pretty great way to make an exit. We'll be patiently awaiting the next flagship Cadillac once this one finally fades away. Chevrolet Impala The Impala is actually a pretty good car. It doesn't sell terribly, and we think it's a completely satisfactory car to drive. However, people would rather have a Traverse or Equinox these days, making the Impala one of the vehicles to find itself on this list. Chevrolet is keeping its smaller brother, the Malibu, but a big, full-size sedan just isn't what people are ordering up these days. It's unfortunate to see it go, but we won't be broken up over it. Chevrolet Cruze We wouldn't rank the Cruze at the top of the compact car class, but if you were looking for a small, cheap American car, it was either this or the Focus. The Cruze had the potential to be a true small performance car if Chevy had ever wanted to make it into one. But sadly, we're seeing it bow out before Chevy ever tried to slot a hot engine and suspension in there to make it competitive with other hot hatches. A Cruze SS would have made enthusiasts take notice.
