1961 Cadillac Coupe Deville Vintage 2 Door Hardtop on 2040-cars
Herriman, Utah, United States
1961 Cadillac Coupe de Ville. 2 door Hardtop. I've had the car a year. I love it. The car is giant and I've got four cars in a one car driveway. I need to make room. So sadly this one has to go. I bought the car from an older fellow who'd had it covered for years. It was not working when I got it. The car has the original Cadillac 390 ci engine. I've replaced some hoses , belts and wiring. I replaced the lower control arm bushings. I rebuilt the master cylinder. I've also rebuilt the generator. Currently it has an alternator installed, but it is a 10 minute switch to get the generator in again, and it is of course included with the car. I have all the hubcaps. I have the fender skirts. Comes with an extra front grille also comes with original radio, currently not installed. Runs and drives but will need a tuneup and brake adjustment at least. The car is not perfect yet. The clearcoat is peeling all over the car. The car is 99.9 % rust free, however on the bottom rear lip of the trunk lid there is some rust to be repaired a picture is included. The brakes work but need to be adjusted, they pull a little to the right. The interior was redone before it was covered an out away by the previous owner (12+ years ago). The dash was recovered and looks great. The vinyl on the seats is starting to crack a little (as can be seen in the close up pictures around top of the seats). I've been tinkering with task me wiring in the dash and a few of the gauges (fuel sender, water temp, dash light) got disconnected. Per car code the car was originally white exterior and black interior. It was my intention to restore it to full glory as this is an awesome Car. The Body is super straight and. The car is original as in Original engine chassis and body numbers matching. It has never been chopped up or rodded out. All original suspension and brakes. Car is currently in Riverton, Utah and is available for inspection by you or your mechanic. Buyer will be responsible for all shipping costs, transfer fees, and or all applicable sales taxes. |

Autoblog's Editors' Picks: Our complete list of the best new vehicles
Mon, May 13 2024It's not easy to earn an “EditorsÂ’ Picks” at Autoblog as part of the rating and review process that every new vehicle goes through. Our editors have been at it a long time, which means weÂ’ve driven and reviewed virtually every new car you can go buy on the dealer lot. There are disagreements, of course, and all vehicles have their strengths and weaknesses, but this list features what we think are the best new vehicles chosen by Autoblog editors. We started this formal review process back in 2018, so there's quite of few of them now. So what does it mean to be an EditorsÂ’ Pick? In short, it means itÂ’s a car that we can highly recommend purchasing. There may be one, multiple, or even zero vehicles in any given segment that we give the green light to. What really matters is that itÂ’s a vehicle that weÂ’d tell a friend or family member to go buy if theyÂ’re considering it, because itÂ’s a very good car. The best way to use this list is is with the navigation links below. Click on a segment, and you'll quickly arrive at the top rated pickup truck or SUV, for example. Use the back button to return to these links and search in another segment, like sedans. If youÂ’ve been keeping up with our monthly series of the latest vehicles to earn EditorsÂ’ Pick status, youÂ’re likely going to be familiar with this list already. If not, welcome to the complete list that weÂ’ll be keeping updated as vehicles enter (and others perhaps exit) the good graces of our editorial team. We rate a new car — giving it a numerical score out of 10 — every time thereÂ’s a significant refresh or if it happens to be an all-new model. Any given vehicle may be impressive on a first drive, but we wait until itÂ’s in the hands of our editors to put it through the same type of testing as every other vehicle that rolls through our test fleet before giving it the EditorsÂ’ Pick badge. This ensures consistency and allows more voices to be heard on each individual model. And just so you donÂ’t think weÂ’ve skipped trims or variants of a model, we hand out the EditorsÂ’ Pick based on the overarching model to keep things consistent. So, when you read that the 3 Series is an EditorsÂ’ Pick, yes, that includes the 330i to the M3 and all the variants in between. If thereÂ’s a particular version of that car we vehemently disagree with, we make sure to call that out.
Cadillac sales chief fired over policy violation
Sun, 21 Jul 2013Amidst a good year for Cadillac, which is experiencing higher sales gains than any other US brand this year, the US sales chief has been fired over a policy violation, Automotive News reports.
The sales chief, Chase Hawkins, "has left effective immediately," GM spokesman David Caldwell told Automotive News. Caldwell went on to say that Hawkins' replacement would be chosen soon.
Hawkins became the US sales chief in June 2012, and before that was the regional sales director for Cadillac in the Northeast US, overseeing 168 dealerships.
Cadillac V-Series Academy comes to Las Vegas [w/video]
Thu, 31 Jan 2013General Motors has added another high-speed education course to the curriculum at the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. The desert track already hosts the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School with Chevrolet Corvettes, including the ZR1, and they've just added the Cadillac V-Series Academy.
Open now, the one- and two-day performance driving school teaches "the finer points of high performance driving" using the 556-horspower instructional aids known as the CTS-V sedan, coupe and wagon. This is different than than using the CTS-V at the Monticello Motor Club on the east coast - that's part of a sponsorship deal that Cadillac has with the track. The driving course at the Motorsports Ranch is its own program that was developed by Fellows, and we have no reason to think the Cadillac edition won't be just as thorough and enjoyable as the one with Corvettes.
Unlike the 'Vette edition, however, it doesn't appear that you get an invitation to the program if you buy a CTS-V model. Classes are capped at 12 participants and run $1,295 for a single day, $2,295 for two days. There are a video and a press release below with more info.
