Hello and thank you for your interest!!
This car has been in Sunny San Diego its entire life!
The body is extremely straight with original cardboard and jack .Ive owned this car for about 6 years and its time for a new home. The motor is currently out of the car and has been setting in a box from the machine shop.Every single piece of the motor has been blasted painted with the correct Cadillac blue and wet sanded and polished. Each piece is in a bag with the number of bolts labeled on a zip lock bag.The frame has been painted the hood hinges are the correct cadmium gold This started out as a 100 percent OEM restoration. Most all of the under carriage has been painted and detailed in a stock restoration fashion. All new front end rebuild, ball joints upper and lower, idler arm etc.The transmission has been dissembled and ready for rebuild.I have $2500 in the motor alone! All the glass is good except the drivers side window.A 30 dollar ebay item. The radio works, the electric antenna works the power seats work wonderfully.I all of the stainless is in excellent condition and has been polished at one time. The car has surface rust which comes off with steel wool but will need a paint job.I personally like the original patina. My price may seem a bit high but this is a solid car threw and threw. There is alot of junk out there and you can pick up a beater for around 4k and put another 3 into the body work to get as straight as this one is.390 motors generally run minimum 2k to have rebuilt. The motor specs are below.I would insist on speaking with you about this car before you bid.
block~30 over
pistons~brand new
rings~brand new
crank turned~10
cam reground by Schneider racing cam here in san diego with very mild RV grind
bearings made in usa brand new
heads!ported and polished/new leaded valves both intake and exhaust/decked
new gasket kit
By the way all the parts i have bought for this motor were either american made or new old stock. Most rebuild kits sold for the 390 are from Korea or china.Look into it!
The 61 cadillac are getting very rare and most from what ive seen get shipped over to our friends in Australia and over seas.
comes with extra back glass~worth 450.
all of the stainless inside the car has been cleaned and polished.
Obviously this is a builder but the best bones out there and your half way there.
This is a true american classic and i will be posting many more pictures in the next few days.
Call me at 619-602-6622 would love to speak with you.

Bring back the Bronco! Trademarks we hope are actually (someday) future car names
Tue, Mar 17 2015Trademark filings are the tea leaves of the auto industry. Read them carefully – and interpret them correctly – and you might be previewing an automaker's future product plans. Yes, they're routinely filed to maintain the rights to an iconic name. And sometimes they're only for toys and clothing. But not always. Sometimes, the truth is right in front of us. The trademark is required because a company actually wants to use the name on a new car. With that in mind, here's a list of intriguing trademark filings we want to see go from paperwork to production reality. Trademark: Bronco Company: Ford Previous Use: The Bronco was a long-running SUV that lived from 1966-1996. It's one of America's original SUVs and was responsible for the increased popularity of the segment. Still, it's best known as O.J. Simpson's would-be getaway car. We think: The Bronco was an icon. Everyone seems to want a Wrangler-fighter – Ford used to have a good one. Enough time has passed that the O.J. police chase isn't the immediate image conjured by the Bronco anymore. Even if we're doing a wish list in no particular order, the Bronco still finds its way to the top. For now (unfortunately), it's just federal paperwork. Rumors on this one can get especially heated. The official word from a Ford spokesman is: "Companies renew trademark filings to maintain ownership and control of the mark, even if it is not currently used. Ford values the iconic Bronco name and history." Trademarks: Aviator, AV8R Company: Ford Previous Use: The Aviator was one of the shortest-run Lincolns ever, lasting for the 2003-2005 model years. It never found the sales success of the Ford Explorer, with which it shared a platform. We Think: The Aviator name no longer fits with Lincoln's naming nomenclature. Too bad, it's better than any other name Lincoln currently uses, save for its former big brother, the Navigator. Perhaps we're barking up the wrong tree, though. Ford has made several customized, aviation themed-Mustangs in the past, including one called the Mustang AV8R in 2008, which had cues from the US Air Force's F-22 Raptor fighter jet. It sold for $500,000 at auction, and the glass roof – which is reminiscent of a fighter jet cockpit – helped Ford popularize the feature. Trademark: EcoBeast Company: Ford Previous Use: None by major carmakers.
Cadillac considering more electric cars, Elmiraj business case gaining popularity
Fri, 01 Nov 2013Cadillac's electrification isn't likely to stop at the $76,000 ELR coupe, according a report from TheDetroitBureau.com. Speaking to Cadillac's global sales boss, Bob Ferguson, a successful ELR will likely lead to a larger, even more upscale offering than the Volt-based two-door. "I could certainly see a larger vehicle, something even more luxurious," Ferguson said of a potential second, battery-powered Caddy.
That car would likely boast a more potent version of the Voltec powertrain that motivates the Volt and ELR. This next-generation system is still sometime off, though, and won't likely arrive until the second-generation Volt hits the market.
Besides hinting at future plug-in hybrids, Ferguson spoke to TDB about the improving business case for the Elmiraj Concept, shown at the Pebble Beach Concours in Monterey in August. "I'm very excited about the reception for the Elmiraj," Ferguson said. "I'd like to see it in showrooms as soon as possible," he added, before saying that a business case for the production version of the big coupe still needed to be presented to the brass. "It was made to be operationalized," Ferguson added, which is just what we want to hear when it comes to big, flashy concept cars.
de Nysschen pushes to separate Cadillac, GM
Wed, Aug 12 2015Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen continues his push to separate his brand from General Motors. After controversially picking up shop and moving to New York's trendy SoHo neighborhood, de Nysschen has now gone on record as saying that within two years, the brand will enjoy "a far higher degree of autonomy and self sufficiency." That autonomy will include the brand reporting its own financial results, independent of GM. But what would such a move do for Cadillac? Well, as de Nysschen explained it to Automotive News, "Cadillac at this state makes a very sizeable contribution to the overall profit at General Motors." If that's truly the case, separating financial announcements serves to emphasize the prosperous character de Nysschen seems so keen on attaching to his brand. But that's only one phase of Cadillac's push to distance itself from GM. De Nysschen is eager to revamp the company's dealership model so that it stands out from other GM brands, calling it a "very profound focus." Those moves, according to AN, including a change to the current dealer incentive model with a particular emphasis on building the brand rather than nailing sales figures. "If you aren't strengthening the brand perception, you should have less reward," de Nysschen told AN. While his goals seem clear, de Nysschen's statements have left us wondering whether they're also somewhat counterintuitive. Emphasizing Caddy's prosperity to potential consumers while incentivizing dealers to move less metal seems more like a tactical move rather than a strategic one. And there's no telling how the new dealership model will impact de Nysschen's goal to hit 500,000 global sales by 2020. Related Video:
