 UP FOR SALE IS MY 1959 CADILLAC COUPE DEVILLE PROJECT. THIS IS A SOUTHWEST CAR THAT CAME TO TEXAS BACK IN 2000 FROM NEW MEXICO. THE PREVIOUS OWNER STARTED A AMATEUR RESTORATION. THIS IS THE WAY I GOT THE CAR. MILEAGE SHOWS 17,000. IT IS PROBABLY 117,000.  THIS IS A REAL J CODE COUPE DEVILLE. WITH FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING. THE ORIGINAL COLOR WAS GOTHAM GOLD WITH TAN INTERIOR THE CAR RUNS AND MOVES, THE BRAKES WERE REBUILT, BUT THE MASTER CYLINDER IS LEAKING DUE TO STORAGE ,SO IT WILL NOT STOP. THE ENGINE SOUNDS GOOD. IT APPEARS TO HAVE HAD SOME ENGINE WORK  AT ONE TIME. THE TRANSMISSION WORKS. THE CAR DOES NOT SMOKE. IT HAS NEWER EXHAUST AND NEW TIRES.  ALSO A NEW WINDSHIELD.  BODY-   WAS REPAINTED BUT NOT BLOCKED SO THE REAR QUARTERS AND HOOD HAVE WAVES. THE MOULDING HOLES WERE FILLED. SINCE THIS WAS A NEW MEXICO AND DALLAS CAR, IT IS PRETTY SOLID. I DID FIND SOME PATCHES IN THE FRONT FLOORS,A SMALL HOLE IN THE RIGHT LOWER CORNER OF THE TRUNK AND SOME BUBBLES ON THE BOTTOM OF ONE OF THE FENDERS. .THE REAR BUMPERS HAVE BEEN RECHROMED. THE CAR HAS A NEW WINDSHIELD. THE SEATS WERE REDONE IN RED VINYL. THE DASH PAD AND DOOR PANELS WERE PAINTED. THEY NEED REDONE. THERE IS A NEW WHITE HEADLINER FOR THE CAR. THE HORN RING IS NICE. I HAVE 99 PERCENT OF THE CAR AND SOME EXTRA PARTS ARE INCLUDED. WHAT I KNOW IS MISSING IS- FRONT FENDER SIDE MOULDINGS, NOW AVAILABLE NEW. NOT SURE IF I HAVE BOTH DOOR MOULDINGS. I HAVE THE 2 LONG REAR QUARTER MOULDINGS ,BUT MISSING ONE SHORT PIECE. THE FRONT FENDER GUNSIGHTS ARE RECHROMED. THE SEAT AND ALL THE WINDOWS WORK. THE DOOR GLAS IS OUT, BUT I MIGHT GET IT PUT BACK IN.  I HAVE MANY MORE PHOTOS I CAN EMAIL REAL BUYERS. I SELL WORLDWIDE. 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe prepares to fight BMW 4 Series

Cadillac introduced its new ATS Coupe at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show today, bringing customers an alternative to the growing range of sport luxury coupes typified by the BMW 4 Series, Audi A5 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe.
The ATS Coupe, as a slightly more premium offering, ditches the wheezy 2.5-liter engine found in the basic ATS Sedan, but retains the four-door's 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder and 3.6-liter V6. That four-pot turbo benefits from a fettling that has increased torque from 260 pound-feet to 295, although its peak is only available from 3,000 rpm to 4,600 rpm, unlike in the sedan, where peak twist arrives at just 1,700 rpm and sticks around until 5,500 rpm.
Power can be channeled to either the rear or all four wheels by the owner's choice of a Tremec six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. According to Cadillac, the new Coupe can get to 60 in 5.6 seconds when fitted with the 2.0-liter turbo.

Why GM will import the Cadillac CT6 PHEV from China

There's a clear-cut reason that General Motors is going to build its upcoming plug-in hybrid CT6 sedan in China. Sure, the car will be sold in China and the US, but the real reason for the "Made In China" stamp is environmental. If an automaker wants to build a new model in China, adding a green powertrain is an easy way to do that. The CT6 will have both a PHEV option as well as standard gas engine versions. David Leone, Cadillac's executive chief engineer, told AutoblogGreen recently that, "[China is] far more receptive to approving localized production of vehicle programs that have new energy vehicle powertrain applications." To put it succinctly, since the CT6 has a PHEV option, it is easier for GM to build all CT6 models in China. Some of them will then be imported to the US. "Most new global Cadillacs will also be produced in China as well. It's our second-largest market in the world." "To bring any new car into China, to produce it, you need government approval," Leone said. "The government isn't interested in bringing many new cars to market that don't have new energy credits. [The CT6] also provides new energy credits that enables it to be an attractive, well-received product in China." Leone said that there are two main markets for the various CT6 models: China and the US. The car will arrive in the 2017 model year, so some time after the end of June 2016. There are other practical reasons to build the PHEV in China, like the cells in the battery pack. Those are provided by LG Chem, which makes some cells in Michigan but more in South Korea. And GM already builds cars in China through its joint venture with SAIC, Shanghai General Motors, or SGM. "In February 2013 we started making the XTS, in summer of 2014 we started making the ATS-L," Leone said. "We will be producing [the CT6] within a number of months. Most new global Cadillacs will also be produced in China as well. It's our second-largest market in the world." The Chinese and US versions of the CT6 will be identical, Leone said. While some Cadillacs sold in China are slightly different than the US versions – the Chinese ATS is 77 millimeters longer, for example – the CTS6 PHEV will be exactly the same in both places, other than slight tweaks to the trim levels. Still, "more of our cars going forward will be the exact same car," he said. That doesn't mean that sales will be the same everywhere.

2015 Cadillac ATS-V gunning for the BMW M3

Spy photographers have spotted something interesting. Cadillac engineers have taken to public streets with the upcoming ATS-V and a playmate: the current BMW M3 Sedan. The prototype seen here wears a more aggressive front fascia, flared fenders and beefy brakes. Quad exhaust tips and what looks to be a small lip spoiler on the trunk deck sum up the most obvious visual changes over the standard ATS outside. Word has it the ATS-V will bow with the same twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 available in the nose of the XTS. In that application, the engine is good for a stout 410 horsepower, which should be more than enough to hustle the sedan around a track.
Other details are still murky, however. First and foremost: will GM offer the ATS-V with an honest manual transmission, like it does with its big brother, the CTS-V? Something tells us we won't have long to wait to find out - the machine will likely bow next year as a 2015 model. Until then, dig in on our newest bevy of spy photos.
