1955 Cadillac Deville Base Hardtop 2-door 5.4l on 2040-cars
Huntington Beach, California, United States
THIS BEAUTY HAS BEEN OWNED BY TWO OWNERS FROM ONE FAMILY. THERE ARE NO DINGS NOR DENTS ON THE BODY OR ON THE CHROME. THE WHITE WALL TIRES ARE IN MINT SHAPE. THE INTERIOR IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE WITH NO RIPS OR TEARS. THE DASH DOES HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF DAMAGE UP NEAR THE WINDSHIELD. CARPET IS IN GREAT SHAPE AS WELL. THE CAR HAS BEEN REPAINTED AT SOME POINT AND IS A BIT OXIDIZED. IF I WAS BUYING IT I WOULD PROBABLY REPAINT IT. THE BLACK PAINT IS IN GREAT SHAPE AND CHROME IS EXCELLENT AS WELL. THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE IS THAT IT NEEDS A NEW WINDSHIELD AND PASSENGER WINDOW. I HAVE PRICED THEM AND IT WILL COST 700.00 TO REPLACE. THERE IS VERY LITTLE IF ANY RUST. ALL THE POWER WINDOWS WORK PERFECT. THIS CAR ALSO HAS AN "AUTRONIC EYE" WHICH CHANGES THE HIGH BEAM TO THE LOW BEAM ON THE HEADLIGHTS. THIS CAR HAS THE ORIGINAL RADIO ALSO. THIS CAR IS COMPLETELY ORIGINAL EXCEPT FOR THE PAINT. THIS CAR IS VERY MECHANICALLY SOUND. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ON THIS CAR OR WOULD LIKE TO VIEW IT IN PERSON FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME @ 949-436-iMAC. THANKS FOR VIEWING AND HAPPY BIDDING FOLKS!! |

Cadillac Elmiraj Concept slinks in Leno's Garage
Wed, 28 Aug 2013Jay Leno's Garage has moved to Pebble Beach for the week. This time around, the affable comedian is taking a look at the Cadillac Elmiraj Concept that debuted during the Monterey car week, and is talking to General Motors vice president of global design, Ed Welburn.
There's plenty of reminiscing about what concept cars were like when these two were kids, before a fairly deep dive into the striking Elmiraj Concept itself. Welburn shares a few anecdotes about the design process behind the two-door concept, including how his designers changed his mind on the grille design.
After bringing up the Cimarron, Leno makes a solid point that the Elmiraj would be a solid production car that could even spawn a four-door variant. We couldn't agree more. Take a look below for the full video from Jay Leno's Garage.
Cadillac abandons plans for six-digit flagship sedan
Mon, 01 Jul 2013So much for that party. Cadillac has announced that it is walking away from plans to build a high-dollar, rear-wheel-drive ultraluxury sedan. The low-volume model would have been based on the lusty Ciel Concept, and the production iteration would have carried a price tag well over $100,000. Executives with the automaker reportedly claim the model wouldn't have bolstered the brand enough to be worth the investment.
Even so, Automotive News reports Cadillac is still on track to build a range-topping four-door to go head-to-head with the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. That model will likely be constructed on the company's upcoming Omega rear-wheel-drive platform, but we won't see it bow until at least 2016. Right now, the front-wheel-drive XTS sits at the top of the Cadillac lineup, and while that machine and it's twin-turbocharged V6 variant makes a compelling argument against certain luxury entries, it falls short serving as a legitimate competitor for the likes of the 7 Series and S-Class for enthusiast drivers.
Johan responds to critics again about Cadillac's NY move
Wed, 15 Oct 2014Cadillac's new President Johan de Nysschen has faced a fair amount of criticism since assuming his position at the head of the American luxury manufacturer. From the company's move to New York City to a controversial new naming scheme, the first few months of his tenure have not been smooth sailing. Now, the embattled exec is firing back against his critics, notably Automotive News Editor-in-Chief Keith Crain, in a new column running in AN.
De Nysschen countered Crain's claim that the move to the Big Apple, "can only mean that someone wants to live in New York."
"The relocation decision is entirely unrelated to the personal living preferences of any Cadillac executive. No corporation would tolerate such indulgence by its leadership," de Nysschen wrote. "It is about structurally entrenching a challenge to the status quo by reinforcing the psychological and physical separation in business philosophy between the mainstream brands and GM's luxury brand."
