This 1924 Cadillac was purchased new by a funeral home in Detroit Michigan. Sometime in the late 30's or early 40's the car came to Grand Rapids and was owned for decades by a gentleman on the westside who only drove it for a few years before having a serious accident. The car has remained within 35 miles of Grand Rapids ever since.

The paint is almost all original with the exception of some small touch up done on the fenders over 30 years ago. The upholstery is all original and in excellent shape. The front floor mat is missing.

Fuel tank had the top cut open,sandblasted and coated by a professional restoration shop. The fuel system works as it should with the hand pump on the dash for starting and the motor driven air pump for running. Tires are only a few years old with less than 3000 miles on them. Every thing works as it should and is ready to be enjoyed.

Some of the special features that sets this car off are the large Westinghouse air shocks,cut glass bud vases with matching ashtray and the dual spare tires. The original bellypan is included but is off the car.

This car has been on several Glidden tours and is also eligible for CCCA tours and shows. A great car that runs and drives like a low mileage car should and would be great for any preservation class.

2014 Cadillac ELR leases for $699 a month

Most Autoblog readers thought the $75,000 price tag on the 2014 Cadillac ELR was too high. If you can't swing the MSRP all in one go, how does a lease price of $699 a month sound? That's the amount that Cadillac is offering on the official ELR website, with some caveats, of course. First off, it appears that this lease price is for just for "current owners and lessees of all 1999 or newer GM vehicles." They will also have to pony up $4,999 at signing (all others will need $5,999). Second, the $699-a-month price is for a 39-month lease. Then, of course, "tax, title, license, dealer fees and optional equipment [are] extra" and "each dealer sets own price." Also, it appears that this lease deal is only good until the end of January. Cadillac started shipping the ELR plug-in hybrid coupe to dealers last month. There are two things to note in the fine print. The most surprising is that the payments are based on "a 2014 Cadillac ELR with an MSRP of $76,000." That's $1,000 more than the official MSRP announced in October. Then we get to the real kicker: The lease limits you to a mere 32,500 miles, which is just 833.3 miles a month. Well, 'limit' isn't the exact word, since you can certainly drive more. All you have to do is pay 25 cents per mile for each mile over 32,500. Drive the national average of 13,476 miles in a year? That comes to 43,797 miles over 39 months, which is 11,297 extra miles and an extra $2,824.25.

Akerson says Cadillac will get a larger sedan within two years

It seems that during a recent affair showing off the 2014 Cadillac CTS, General Motors CEO Dan Akerson confirmed reports regarding a new Cadillac flagship sedan. According to USA Today, which Akerson was visiting, he said that a sedan larger than the XTS would debut within the next two years.
This matches up with what we heard earlier in the month about a Cadillac model that will go up against the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class (not a pricier, low-volume sedan also discussed in that article). But this is the first time a high-profile executive name has been attributed to such a report, and the first time a broad timeframe has been mentioned. This article adds that the unnamed car will be rear-, and all-wheel drive with a platform "loosely based" on the new CTS, with styling closer to that car than recent Cadillac concept vehicles. The XTS will continue production of course, as well.
