UP FOR BID IS MY GRANDMAS 2009 CADILLAC DTS, THE ONLY REASON WE ARE SELLING IS SHE IS UNABLE TO DRIVE NOW. THIS THING IS LOADED TO THE BRIM WITH OPTIONS, ITS EASIER TO SAY WHAT IT DOES NOT HAVE AND THATS NAVIGATION AND SUNROOF. THATS IT. THIS CAR HAS BEEN VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF MECHANICALLY, IS UP TO DATE ON ALL MAITNIENCE AND JUST HAD A OIL CHANGE. EVERYTHING IS FUNCTIONAL AND WORKS GREAT. THE TIRES HAVE ABOUT 70 PERCENT TREAD BUT ARE SHOWING CRACKS ON THE SIDE WALLS SINCE ITS NOT DROVE VERY MUCH LATELY. I WOULD ALSO RECCOMEND HAVING THE BREAKS DONE. THE MILEAGE IS JUST ABOVE 75K AND WILL GO UP AS I AM CURRENTLY DRIVING IT TO "KEEP IT IN SHAPE".

COSMETICALLY THE CAR TO ME IS IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE, THERE ARE NORMAL SCRATCHES HERE IN THERE AND A PRETTY NICE SIZE SCUFF ON THE BACK RIGHT SIDE. SEE PICTURE. THE FRONT HAS SOME LIGHT SCUFFS AS WELL AS UNDER THE DRIVERSIDE DOOR. MOST OF THESE I AM SURE CAN BE BUFFED OUT AND THE RESERVE PRICE REFLECTS A DISCOUNT. INSIDE IS PRETTY MUCH FLAWLESS, LEATHER AND CARPET ARE PERFECT, NO RIPS OR TEARS. BACKSEAT HAS BEEN SAT IN MAYBE TWICE.

OVERALL A GREAT CAR AND TASTE OF LUXURY FOR A FRACTION OF THE PRICE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE A SPECIFIC PICTURE OR MORE INFO.

RESERVE IS SET VERY COMPETITIVELY AND WELL UNDER KBB IN GOOD SHAPE.

I WILL TRY TO ASSIST IN SHIPPING IF NEED BE BUT IT WILL MOSTLY BE BUYERS RESPONSIBILITY. I CAN ALSO PICK UP BUYER AT AIRPORT IF YOU MAY NEED A RIDE.

THANKS AND GOOD LUCK

Cadillac drops the base engine in the 2017 ATS

Tue, Jun 28 2016

Cadillac, in an effort to boost sales of the slow moving ATS, is making some changes to the 2017 model. Most notably, the luxury manufacturer is dropping the base 2.5-liter normally-aspirated four-cylinder engine from the lineup, leaving the 272 hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four as the base engine. The base 2.0-liter ATS will start at $35,590, $1,380 more than the 2016 model, though that's partially offset by more standard equipment. The base model now comes standard with Cadillac's controversial CUE infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen display, a Bose surround-sound speaker system, and a backup camera. Despite the bump in price for the base model, all other ATS trim levels will see prices reduced between $650 and $1,100, depending on the model. The ATS was designed to be Cadillac's answer to the BMW 3-Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Though the ATS was originally released at a time where the Germans were slightly off their game, it's never quite matched up in terms of performance or customer perception posting disappointing sales figures compared to the competition. Cadillac has had problems getting customers into cars, and few ATS customers are converts from luxury competition. In order to offload inventory and lure in new customers, the company has previously been forced to offer big lease deals. Many of these customers have come over from more mainstream brands like Chevrolet and Ford. ATS sales have fallen 23 percent through May versus 2015. The car's market share has fallen every year since 2013, currently occupying just 4.5 percent of the compact luxury market. Unless Cadillac can offer some truly amazing deals, we don't expect many shoppers to buy American over the strong German competition. Related video: Cadillac Luxury Sedan

Cadillac teases camo'd ELR ahead of Detroit debut

Tue, 08 Jan 2013

With the 2014 Cadillac ELR being introduced next week at the Detroit Auto Show, General Motors has revealed another picture of its luxury range extended electric vehicle. Last month, we saw a dark, teaser photo showing some of the body detail for the electric coupe, but this recent photo shows the Cadillac in full camouflage testing in California back in September.
If this car looks familiar, it's because our spy shooters got a jump on GM by catching the car in action and providing pictures from all angles. There are still no official details for the ELR yet aside from the fact that it will share the Voltec system with the Chevrolet Volt, but we'll finally see the car unveiled in Detroit a week from today.

GM admits Cadillac ELR no real competition for Tesla Model S

Fri, Aug 15 2014

Last year, then-CEO of General Motors, Dan Akerson, made it clear that the company lookouts at the Ren Cen had California automaker Tesla in their sights. "If you want to compete head-to-head with Tesla, and we ultimately will, you want to do it with a Cadillac," he said. So, given the fact that the Cadillac ELR has a plug and sells for roughly the same price at the Tesla Model S ($75,000 vs $69,900, before incentives) and that Cadillac doesn't have any other electric vehicle on the horizon, you'd be forgiven if you thought that the way that Akerson wanted to challenge Tesla's EV success was with the ELR. Well, you'd apparently be wrong. "The ELR is a different car, it's a different price point. It's way-different technology." - GM's Mark Reuss Speaking yesterday in Detroit, GM's head of global product development, Mark Reuss, admitted that the ELR is not the Tesla competitor that Akerson promised. "People like to say the ELR is [competition for the Model S], but it's really not. It's a different car, it's a different price point. It's way-different technology." So, if we follow that logic to conclusion with Akerson's quote from last year, then the only way that Cadillac can eventually compete with Tesla is with a pure electric car, and that seems an outside chance, at best, for the foreseeable future. Through the end of July, Cadillac has sold 578 ELRs since it went on sale earlier this year. Tesla doesn't break out monthly US sales, but has sold 15,114 Model S EVs around the world in the first six months of 2014. For his part, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has already said that GM is headed down the wrong path with plug-in hybrids like the ELR or the Chevy Volt. Speaking about the Volt last year, Musk said, Chevy "sort of created something that's a bit of amphibian," which resulted in a car that's, "Okay but not great."
