2006 Cadillac Dts Luxury Deville Touring Sedan on 2040-cars
Decatur, Tennessee, United States
Black on black with factory dark tinted windows. Excellent paint with no dents or dings. My Cadillac has a rebuilt title but no one would ever know it. It looks great, drives and runs great. It drives like a Cadillac. Since I bought it has been garage kept. Premium brakes and rotors replaced recently. I have had it serviced every 3000 miles at local GM dealer. It has premium touring Michelin tires with over 80% tread life. It has all the factory options you would expect on a luxury car. 4.6L 32V V8 is powerful with lots of get up and go and runs smoothly at any cruising speed. This has been my dream car and I love driving it. I am only selling because we are moving to lake property that is in the woods and roads undeveloped. Listed accident was when I hit a large Bobcat or Wildcat (animal) on the interstate doing 75 mph. The car didn't waver or weave, felt safe the entire time. I was able to drive it home, over a 100 miles. Appearance repairs only was needed. Bumper, bumper cover, cornering light, fender liner, and undermotor plastic shield. The car was expertly repaired at Dayton Auto Center. Mileage may be slightly higher at end of auction. I drive it for special occasions. Full refund of deposit if you are not satisfied at time of pickup. |

Cadillac recalls 17,500 SRX CUVs in Canada
Fri, 03 Oct 2014When reporting on recalls, Autoblog generally tries to focus on the US market. However, a recent campaign in Canada seems important enough to be worth mentioning because it could eventually affect American drivers. General Motors is repairing 17,481 Canadian examples of the Cadillac SRX from the 2010-2015 model years because of the possibility of a loose nut in the rear suspension. For the moment, the automaker hasn't yet announced whether the CUV in the US would require a similar campaign.
The notice was dated September 18, 2014, on the website for Transport Canada, similar to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in the US. It says, "the rear suspension toe link jam nuts" might not have been sufficiency tightened, which could allow a rear wheel to turn "inboard or outboard" while driving. If this happens, it could cause a sudden change in handling. Canadian Cadillac dealers are inspecting the parts and replacing the toe link if necessary.
This campaign isn't listed on the GM's running recall tally from September, which includes exported models, but it does list four other campaigns for the SRX this year - three in this range of years and one for the 2004-2006 model. Autoblog reached out to the company to ask about the possibility of this recall expanding to the US and were told "We have not publicly announced US recalls" for the issues affecting the SRX. The New York Times was given a similar quote. Scroll down to read the notice from Transport Canada.
Cadillac to launch Super Cruise semi-autonomous technology in two years [w/video]
Sun, 07 Sep 2014We all know that self-driving cars are coming. It's not so much a question of If so much as When. And when it comes to General Motors products, we now have something of a date to work with, as Cadillac has announced plans to roll out what it is calling Super Cruise technology in an unnamed new model within the next two years. As you would expect, this new tech can speed the car up, slow it down and keep it in its intended lane, but GM isn't expected to release a fully self-driving car, saying that it will still require "an attentive driver."
We're not quite sure what new model Cadillac will use to launch this new technology, but our best guess would be its upcoming LTS sedan. Other possibilities may include a new crossover - we've heard rumors of CUVS coming from Caddy both above and below the current SRX - or entry-level sedan, but those seem less likely than a high-dollar flagship like the LTS.
The next techy bit of kit currently being shown off by Cadillac engineers includes vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication, technology which would seemingly allow cars to travel in close proximity to one another, with less danger of collisions. According to our friends at Engadget, GM is working with the University of Michigan to outfit some 120 miles of roads in and around Detroit, MI, with the requisite sensors to make all this technology possible.
