2011 Cerified Cadillac CTS Luxury Edition. 2nd owner since May 2012. Bought from Cadillac dealer with 10,500 miles. Is a certified car with 100,000 mile warranty and 2 years free maintenance. I have been told that the warranty will transfer to new owner. Please call a Cadillac dealer and find out for yourself. This car looks new except for minor surface damage to rear corner of back bumper. It was scraped in parking lot last week. No note was left. I have included a photo showing area. I have had a estimate of $250.00 to repair. I am only selling because I just took delivery of Mercedes SUV. I have always owned SUV's until I bought this car and have since realized that I need an SUV for my trips to my vacation house. This car is priced to sell. This red custom paint is a head turner. All internally lubricated parts, case, torque converter, transfer case, mounts, seals and gaskets input and output shafts; forward and intermediate clutch; direct clutch; bands; governor; thrust bearings and washers as well as any electrical components internal to the transmission/ transaxle/transfer case. Also covered are any actuators directly connected to the transmission (slave cylinder, etc.) and the transfer case, as well as encoder motor.

WARRANTY APPLIES
This warranty is for vehicles registered in the United States and normally operated in the United States or Canada, and is provided to the original and any subsequent owners of the vehicle during the warranty period.
REPAIRS COVERED
The warranty covers repairs to vehicle defect related to materials or workmanship occurring during the warranty period. Needed repairs will be performed using new or remanufactured parts.
NO CHARGE
Warranty repairs, including towing, parts and labor, will be made at no charge.
OBTAINING REPAIRS
To obtain warranty repairs, take the vehicle to your Cadillac dealer facility within the warranty period and request the needed repairs. A reasonable time must be allowed for the dealer to perform necessary repairs.
TOWING
Towing is covered to the nearest Cadillac dealer if your vehicle cannot be driven because of a warranted defect.

2016 Cadillac CT6 to get an aluminum body?
Sat, Dec 27 2014Well this is interesting: A hot-off-the-press report in Automobile claims the coming Cadillac CT6 will have an aluminum body. Most write-ups on the CT6 claim it will have a body that's a combination of aluminum and high-strength steel - Automobile itself wrote of "high-strength steel, aluminum, and steel stampings" in October. An all-aluminum body would be quite the reversal, contradicting the last four months of reportage and company statements on the matter. Mark Reuss, EVP of global development at General Motors, told The Detroit News in October, "We will create with the CT6, the world's most advanced body structure... [and] it's not aluminum. It's a stronger, smarter, safer premium luxury vehicle." It echoed the earlier Automobile story in saying the CT6 would use GM's "patented welding technology with high-strength steel, aluminum and steel stampings and castings." That same month, the Wall Street Journal ran a piece titled, "GM Won't Follow Aluminum Strategy in Future Cars," in which Reuss said, "making big statements around all carbon fiber, all aluminum, all magnesium, they're very interesting," and that GM wouldn't be doing it. That piece also circled back to a material mix and GM's special welding process, saying the CT6 "will have a body made of aluminum, high-strength steel and other materials, and will be 100 kilograms (220 pounds) lighter than a similar-sized car made of high-strength steel." We don't know what kind of body Cadillac's new assault on luxury is going to wear, but now we can't wait to find out. Cadillac to fight Audi A3, Mercedes CLA with small rear-drive sedan?
Mon, 18 Aug 2014Compact luxury sedans are fast becoming the trend among upscale automakers. Mercedes has the new CLA (and its many platform-mates), BMW has the 1 Series and 2 Series, Audi has the A3 and, though Lexus apparently isn't interested in anything smaller than its CT 200h, Infiniti is getting in on the action with a compact model of its own. It would only follow logically, then, that Cadillac should launch a competitor, and according to the latest reports, that's just what it has in store.
Speaking with Car and Driver, Cadillac marketing chief Uwe Ellinghaus confirmed that such a project is in the works. But unlike its rivals, Cadillac aims to go with a rear-wheel-drive layout. This despite research that apparently indicates that a surprising 80 percent of owners think that their BMW 1 Series is front-drive. It's the driving dynamics and styling proportions that motivate Ellinghaus and his colleagues to stick with rear-drive, however.
The new model would in all likelihood be based on the same GM Alpha architecture that underpins the ATS and CTS - a platform that has helped Cadillac keep the weight down on both models and which is expected to underpin the next-generation Chevy Camaro, as well. The sub-ATS could be positioned as a four-door 2+2, however, as the ATS grows a little larger in its next iteration in order to make room for its new baby brother.
Don Draper's 1965 Cadillac Coupe de Ville up for auction
Mon, Aug 3 2015Few have ever nor ever will embody the sheer confidence and style of Don Draper, the main character on the hit AMC drama Mad Men. But if you can't quite match his style, at least you can drive his car. Now that the series has now concluded its eight-year run, the studio behind it is selling off a whole mess of artifacts from the show through ScreenBid, a specialist Hollywood memorabilia auctioneer. There's a good 1,300 lots up for grabs, from props to costumes. But the lot that's caught our attention is this 1965 Cadillac Coupe de Ville. Don picked this car up in the fifth season and drove it until the penultimate episode. These are the wheels he (spoiler alert!) drove across the country, got repaired in Oklahoma, and ultimately gave to a kid working at the motel before making his way by bus to the Bonneville Salt Flats in the final episode. At the time of writing, bidding had reached $25,000 with four days still to go. Cadillac first used the de Ville as a trim level on the Series 62 before spinning it off into its own model line. 1965 was the first year of the third-generation de Ville, stretching a massive 224 inches (over 18 and a half feet!) long. Powering over 4,600 pounds of personal American luxury was an equally massive 7.0-liter V8 that drove 340 horsepower through a three-speed automatic transmission. The name wasn't retired until 2005 when the final DeVille (as it was styled by then) was replaced by the DTS, which itself was shorthand for DeVille Touring Sedan. Cadillac produced the last DTS in 2011, finally putting to rest a name that had, in one form or another, been used since 1949. Few cars had the kind of presence that the third-gen Coupe de Ville did, though, and Draper knew it. Or at least the show's producers did.
