CALL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS 903 278 90 69 Daniel http://www.lsxtv.com/news/wsc-750-whiteside-customs-800-plus-hp-silver-frost-cts-v/ Whiteside Customs’ WSC-750 is just one of 100 CTS-Vs that were painted matte Frost Silver from the factory. But that isn’t all that makes this car unique… Luxurious, powerful, planted, and refined – those are all great words to describe the 2nd Gen Cadillac CTS-V. But would you ever go as far as to call the car “unique”? If the car was a bone stocker, perhaps not so much. However, if the CTS-V in question is the WSC-750 from Whiteside Customs, then our answer to that question would be “absolutely”. The WSC-750 had a head start on standing out above most other CTS-Vs before it even fell into the hands of the guys at Whiteside Customs. It is one of the rare collector edition 2013 CTS-Vs with the stunning matte Silver Frost paint job. Cadillac only produced 100 CTS-Vs in Silver Frost, and this particular car is number 93. Even though the WSC-750 is named for it’s supposed 750 crank horsepower, the actual number is somewhere well over 800. But that wasn’t enough. Whiteside dove right into the car and transformed it into an ultra-high performance machine that truly stands out from the crowd. Under the hood, the supercharged LSA has been outfitted with a custom grind cam and a set of ported heads from Texas Speed and Performance. Additional boost is provided from Lingenfelter pulleys, and a Lingenfelter cold air intake keeps the O2 flowing, while a KDI Innovations heat-exchanger cools off the charge. Kooks 1-7/8 inch headers, high flow cats, and a Corsa Touring exhaust system move the spend combustion on its way, while giving the CTS-V a throaty but refined exhaust note. Mike White from Whiteside Customs tells us, “While cruising it’s silent inside the cabin and still retains that Cadillac comfort. But if you’re on the outside, the music from the exhaust is amazing!” The guys from Whiteside call the car the WSC-750 because they estimated it would make around 750 horsepower at the crank. It turns out they were a bit too conservative. “The car dynoed at 675 RWHP, which would make this a 840 crank horsepower car,” says White. “So for grins we actually refer to this one as the WSC-825.”
The suspension was also updated with solid bushings from Whiteline, and set of high-rate lowering springs from Eibach. Adding to the WSC-750’s unique factor is a set of Forgeline RB3C wheels with titanium colored centers and brushed outers. These are special wheels because they are one of the first sets from their Concave line that Forgeline produced with a stepped-lip. The wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires, in 265 and 305 widths. The guys from Whiteside debuted the WSC-750 on the 2013 Hot Rod Power Tour, and had an absolute blast showing off the Caddy’s capabilities. “The car was a huge hit,” says White. “We won the dyno challenge, came in top 10 in autocross, top 10 in drag racing and drove the car the whole time. No trailer for us. We even took the car up to the Tail of the Dragon and handling is superb!” In case you are wondering – yes, the WSC-750 is for sale. The guys at Whiteside plan to build a total of 10 of these CTS-Vs, but this particular one will be the lone Silver Frost among the bunch. For more information on the WSC-750 or all the goods and services they offer for late model Caddys, give Whiteside Customs a call at 972-542-0255 or visit their website here. http://www.gmhightechperformance.com/events/1311_coolest_gm_cars_at_sema_2013/ |

Cadillac finds a few more horsepower for ATS-V
Wed, Mar 25 2015We've rarely found cause to complain about a car getting more power, and guess what? That's not going to change here. After initially announcing that the new ATS-V would come to market with a Corvette-matching 455 horsepower, Cadillac has come back with an SAE-certified 464 horsepower. That, as Automobile points out, puts the high-performance ATS in spitting distance of the base Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and its 469 hp. Anyone else feeling bad for owners of the 425-hp BMW M3? While the ATS-V is getting a bit more grunt, somehow, we doubt Cadillac will adjust its previously published performance figures. Expect 60 miles per hour to arrive in 3.9 seconds, with a top speed of 185 mph. As of this writing, a lucky Autoblog staffer is lapping the ATS-V around Circuit of the Americas in Austin as part of the sedan's big launch. So while we can't fill you in on its real-world performance just yet, expect a big update soon. Related Video:
GM wants to have 10 plug-in models in China in five years
Sun, Apr 24 2016Last we checked, General Motors was selling all of three plug-in vehicle models in its home country of the US, and is prepared to make the Chevrolet Bolt EV available on these shores later this year. So it's notable that the automaker is hatching plans to have at least 10 plug-in variants for sale in China within the next five years, according to Hybrid Cars. Which plug-ins are coming remains a mystery. GM started selling a hybrid version of the Buick LaCrosse in China this month. The strategy makes sense, as China is now the world's largest car market, and accounts for about a third of GM's annual revenue. The automaker, which operates in China under the SAIC-GM and SAIC-GM-Wuling joint ventures, sells cars there under the Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, and Boujun badges, and has been doing so for the better part of two decades. Most recently, GM started selling a hybrid version of the Buick LaCrosse in China this month. What we do know is that GM is building its Cadillac CT6 Plug-in Hybrid in China, with distribution to be split between China and the US. That model, which is scheduled to start sales by the end of the year, is being built overseas because of a combination of Chinese government support for new-energy vehicle technology through incentives and the fact that battery-pack maker LG Chem makes most of its cells in nearby South Korea. The plug-ins are part of a broader plan by General Motors to either introduce or substantially tweak about 60 models by the end of the decade. With such new models, GM looks to boost unit sales by as much as five percent a year for the next few years. As for the other nine plug-in models slated for China by 2021, the company is mum. GM spokesman Dan Flores declined to comment to AutoblogGreen. 2020 Lincoln Corsair vs 2020 Cadillac XT4 | How they compare on paper
Thu, Apr 18 2019The 2020 Lincoln Corsair compact crossover was introduced this year to replace the aging MKC. Our first impressions are that it's a thoroughly competent luxury machine, but where it fits in the market is interesting. Given its size and price tag, the Corsair basically slots in-between compact segments, with vehicles like the Audi Q3 below and Audi Q5 above. It's a distinctive position to be in, but not a unique one, as there's another comparably sized and priced SUV -- and an American rival, no less. The Cadillac XT4 was launched just last year to be its company's smallest crossover, boasting compelling design and ample technology features. So which is better? To give you some idea, let's take a look at each vehicle's horsepower, torque, fuel economy, space, pricing and some slightly more subjective aspects about their luxuriousness and feature sets. You'll find all the nitty gritty numbers below, followed by more detailed analysis. And if you'd like to compare other luxury crossovers, be sure to check out our comparison tool. Engines, drivetrains and driving impressions Both the Corsair and XT4 come standard with turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines, but the Corsair's is more potent with 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet compared with the 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of the Cadillac. And to seal the deal, the Corsair has an optional turbo 2.3-liter engine with 280 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. That's not only vastly better than the Cadillac, but one of the most powerful outputs in the compact luxury SUV segment. Both vehicles have standard front-wheel drive with optional all-wheel drive on the base engines. The 2.3-liter Corsair has all-wheel drive standard. The Cadillac does boast an extra cog in its transmission over the Corsair's eight-speed automatic, but there's not necessarily an advantage or disadvantage to be gleaned from that. When it coes to fuel economy, the Cadillac is victorious with a 26 mpg combined rating for the front-drive model, with the front-drive 2.0-liter Corsair coming just behind with 25 mpg combined. It's a three-way tie for third with the all-wheel-drive XT4, all-wheel-drive 2.0-liter Corsair and 2.3-liter Corsair all returning 24 mpg combined. Of course, the all-wheel-drive Corsairs have a small advantage here in that it delivers more power and torque than the Cadillac with the same fuel economy.
