This classy, attractive 2009 Luxury Edition 3.6L V6 Cadillac CTS with six speed automatic transmission is a one owner car in very good condition. The amateur pictures in this advertisement do not do the car justice - reflections playing off the surfaces give the appearance of imperfections that are not there. The exterior is radiant silver and the interior is light grey (Titanium) leather. The odometer accurately reads just over 59,000 miles. It has been kept in a garage when not in use and driven primarily in a suburban/rural environment. The primary driver has been an older woman who has not pushed the CTS to its' powerful limits. It has plenty of energy for passing and getting out of tight places. One must look closely to find its' one flaw: a portion of the outer edge of the right front fender rubbed against the garage trim on a back-out, slightly marring the paint but not the sheet metal.
The Luxury Edition CTS includes such features as: heated leather 10 way power adjustable driver and passenger seats with lumbar support and memory settings for 2 drivers; power windows, mirrors (heated), locks, and doors with keyless entry; adjustable/telescoping leather wrapped steering wheel; cruise control; traction control; stability control; tire pressure monitor; auto on and off head lights and tail lights; auto dimming rearview mirror; dual zone climate control; On Star & XM Radio capability; 17" machined finish aluminum wheels; theft deterrent alarm system; 8 speaker Bose radio system with 6 Disc CD Player; rainsense wipers (automatically come on when rain hits the windshield); interior ambient lighting; bluetooth for phone; cargo net; and universal garage remote.
Owner will meet purchaser where owner banks. Car must be paid for on delivery with a verified Cashier's Check.

Cadillac ELR, Nissan Resonance and Ford Atlas win Eyes on Design awards
Fri, 18 Jan 2013This year's annual Eyes on Design awards were presented at the end of press days for the Detroit Auto Show on Tuesday. Given out for the best production and concept car designs that debuted at the show, and voted on by an esteemed panel of actual car designers, this year's award for best production vehicle design went to the 2014 Cadillac ELR. The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, which was the show favorite among Autoblog editors, apparently did not impress the Eyes on Design judges enough with its all-new vent-festooned design.
The award for best concept design was actually split as a tie among the Nissan Resonance and Ford Atlas concepts. Last year's winners were the 2013 Ford Fusion and the Lexus LF-LC concept.
The Eyes on Design organization also presented a new honor this year called the Catalyst Award to Bob Lutz, former Vice Chairman of General Motors. Lutz is reported to have given a defense of design in his acceptance speech, arguing that advancements in quality across the industry as a whole have made good design a key differentiator for buyers.
2014 Cadillac ELR wears a suave suit with Volt underpants
Tue, 15 Jan 2013The Cadillac design and engineering teams were smiling like a bunch of proud papas here in Detroit this morning, as the Wreath and Crest crew pulled the curtain back on their 2014 ELR. The house was packed for the ELR's coming out party, and reaction was enthusiastic amongst the murmuring media, as far as we could gather, while the flashes were firing.
In fact, we think that the sleek styling and aggressive proportions of the Voltec-powered ELR looked even better in the metal than they did in the first official images we saw earlier. Further, the leather-lined interior seems custom made for serious driving, even if the ELR is slightly less than rocket-ship quick.
The new Cadillac makes good use of the basic running gear from the Chevrolet Volt, including the 1.4-liter range-extending gas engine, a 15.6-kWh lithium-ion battery pack, and an electric drive motor that offers 295 pound-feet of torque, and a total system output of 207 horsepower. All-electric range is down by just one mile versus its Chevrolet forebearer, for a total of 35, and Cadillac speculates that the total range with the gasoline generator figured in will top 300 miles.
Cadillac logo losing its wreath?
Tue, 23 Jul 2013The easily recognizable Cadillac logo dates back to the company's founding in the early 1900s, but over the last 110 years, there has been an on-again, off-again love affair with the wreath surrounding the crest. Cadillac's current badge design has used the wreath since the 1980s, but Automotive News is reporting that GM's luxury division is planning to ditch the laurel wreath for a cleaner-looking logo.
The new logo could make its debut as early as next month on a new concept car that will be revealed at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, although the report also says that it might be until 2015 before it makes its way to a production car. Even then, it doesn't like anything has been finalized yet, as the article also says that plans could still change.
As Cadillac looks to improve its global presence as a luxury automaker, the report says that a simpler logo could make it easier for designers to incorporate the badge onto the car - either in the grille or above the grille (possibly in a fashion similar to Mercedes-Benz). Head on over to the AN article, which shows the Cadillac logo dating back to its earliest design.
