WHAT MATTERS:

Exceptionally RARE and BEAUTIFUL car!  My wife and I are the first owners of this vehicle and we affectionately refer to her as "Bella".  She is a beauty.  We did a nationwide search for this car to find a CTS loaded up with all the goodies, be black or red, AND have a MANUAL transmission.  My wife and I both love to actually drive a car... and if you are still reading this, you probably know exactly what we are talking about... driving a stick!   So we were elated when we found one... and I mean ONE in the entire COUNTRY that had the navigation package and a stick!  To top things off, it was here in the DFW metroplex where we live!  We had to drive to Atlanta for our last luxury car with a stick!

We bought Bella as a certified pre-owned vehicle, but she came from the Cadillac Executive Program, so she had never been titled.  The bonus here is that we got a 6 year, 100,000 mile (very similar to a bumper to bumper) warranty that is completely transferrable!!!!  You can purchase this vehicle with absolutely, positively no worries!  Bella has never been hit or involved in any kind of accident.  She has had all scheduled maintenance and has had the oil changed every 3-5 thousand miles (synthetic oil) throughout her life.  Only certified Cadillac service technicians have ever touched her mechanically.

WHY ARE WE SELLING?

The only reason we are selling Bella is... and you won't hear this everyday folks... is that we needed a car to put a lot of miles on to travel to... cat shows!  We have two very exotic kitties and plan to have more and we show them every chance we get.  I've included a pic or our babies as well just for fun.  Anyways, I couldn't justify putting all those miles on Bella, so we got a much less expensive gas sipper to get us around for the next few years, but have to part with a car that we absolutely LOVE... Our beloved Bella.

CONDITION:

MECHANICAL:

Perfect working condition.  Everything still under warranty.  Engine, transmission, electronics... everything... perfect working order.  Recently had new front brakes and new Michelin tires put on all 4 wheels.

INTERIOR:

The overall condition of the interior is IMMACULATE.  PERFECT.  GORGEOUS.  TRUE LUXURY.  Check the pictures... Bella is pretty much flawless inside.  For those worried about a black car with black leather... DON'T... She has air conditioned seats.  The leather is in perfect condition.  Everything works perfectly.  Best of all, it's still under warranty!  Bella has every factory option available except a sunroof.  Navigation, dual climate control, ventilated and heated seats, xenon headlights, automatic headlights, etc, etc, etc... The list goes on and on... She is LOADED and in PERFECT condition!

EXTERIOR:

Mirror finish Black Raven paint... washed and waxed routinely.  Overall, still a beautiful car, but being black in Texas on our roads will cause some blemishes.  Please note that you are not buying a new car.  That being said, I will try to describe all I can, but please check the pics.  If you want additional pics, please let me know.  First, there are rock chips... very fine... not major... but they are there on the nose of the car as well as the lower quarter panels.  The rock chips on the lower quarter panels were put there by a Caddy Exec and existed when we bought her, just fyi. On the front right driver side quarter panel, there is a scratch from where a temporary stop sign fell over on the car.  Not a major scratch, but I thought I'd point it out.  On the Driver side rear quarter panel, just in front of the rear tire, there is a blemish that happened at the DFW airport covered parking.  Evidently, they were cleaning with some kind of chemicals or acid on the level above, and liquid dripped onto the spot.  It has been buffed, compounded, and everything else, but it won't come out.  Again, not major, but a hickey to point out.  On the passenger side rear quarter panel, just before the gas cap, there is the only door ding on the car.  On the front driver side wheel, there are some spots where red hot brake juice from a broken brake line bled onto the wheel and corroded the polished aluminum finish.  This happened the first week we owned the car, and I should have made them replace the wheel, but I didn't.  My bad, but not a real eye sore.

That's really about it that I can see and/or think of.  Again, the car has NEVER been hit in any way.  She is absolutely stunning when clean.  You can see the mirror shine and finish even in blemish photos.  Bella would make a beautiful addition to any home.

OVERALL:

You can rate this extremely rare and special vehicle however you like, but I would rate her as a 9 out of 10.  Pictures and facts don't lie.  Covered under warranty... perfect interior... and still a really, really pretty girl who runs hard, fast, and precise.  Driver's Wanted for this RARE vehicle!!!  You will not find many of these vehicles, if any, in the entire country.  Whomever is fortunate enough to win our Bella, please take care of this beautiful girl...

Payment in full expected within 3 days.  No games, no hassles... Straight seller looking for a straight buyer.  If you have ANY questions at all, PLEASE let me know.  Good luck stick lovers...

Electric Cadillac Lyriq, Chevy Bolt EUV and more GM electric cars are on the way

Wed, Mar 4 2020

GM’s murky and somewhat secretive electric car plan is falling into place, as the company dumped a massive amount of information about whatÂ’s in the pipeline at an event at its Warren, Michigan campus today. New EVs are going to be popping up across the GM brand lineup, with new entries from Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC and Buick in progress. We also learned some big news about GMÂ’s new Ultium battery tech today, but check out this story for all of those nitty-gritty details. The electric vehicle onslaught will begin with the Cadillac Lyriq, an electric SUV thatÂ’s already been teased out. Naming it the Lyriq is the news today. No explanation for the name was provided, so weÂ’ll have to wait for April to learn more. GM didnÂ’t specifically say if the Lyriq would be launched at the NY Auto Show, but that show (assuming coronavirus doesnÂ’t cancel it) will begin on April 8 this year. Next up in the order of events is the GMC Hummer electric truck that we know will be launching on May 20. This truck will use GMÂ’s modular Ultium battery technology. However, the wait to buy a GMC Hummer will be a long one, as the truck isnÂ’t going to dive into production until fall 2021 at GMÂ’s Detroit-Hamtramck plant. GM revealed that its new modular Ultium batteries can be configured anywhere from a 50 kWh pack to a 200 kWh pack depending on the application. Range is estimated to be about 400 miles on the upper end with the largest battery pack, and GM continues to boast about a 0-60 mph acceleration time of three seconds. Charging estimates for the Ultium battery-equipped Hummer EV were also provided. GM says its truck platform will have 800-volt battery packs and be capable of 350 kW fast-charging. Time estimates werenÂ’t given, but those numbers suggest the truck will be a rapid charger. The Hummer truck on hand, which was the same that previously starred in GMC's Super Bowl spot, showed off removable roof panels that store in the frunk, as well as what appeared to be a version of GMC's Multi-Pro tailgate. It also featured sail panels on the sides, similar to those in front of the bed of the Chevy Avalanche. In addition to the Hummer, expect to see a couple Chevys launching. GM says the refreshed Bolt EV will be launched “in late 2020” with a refreshed interior and what appear to be thicker front seats.

Three automotive tech trends to watch in 2018 and beyond

Thu, Dec 28 2017

Every year, technology plays a bigger and bigger role in the auto industry. To put things in perspective, 10 years ago iPod integration and Bluetooth were cutting-edge in-car innovations, and smartphones and apps weren't yet a thing since the first iPhone was only about six months old. And I can't recall anyone talking about autonomous cars. Compare that to today, with mainstream coverage of the auto industry dominated by autonomous technology, along with electrification and almost every move made by Tesla. These three topics were the most significant trends of car tech in 2017 and I believe they will continue to shape the auto industry in 2018 and beyond. Let's examine them. Full Autonomy Gets Closer to Reality While there were many developments this year that indicate we're inching closer to fully autonomous vehicles, I was behind the wheel for hours to witness one of them. In October I had the chance to test Cadillac Super Cruise on a 700-mile, 11-hour drive from Dallas to Santa Fe – and had my hands on the wheel for maybe 45 minutes max throughout the entire trip. Super Cruise is far from making the Cadillac CT6 or any GM vehicle fully autonomous, and has limitations such as functioning only on pre-mapped main highways. While it simply adds a layer of lane centering to adaptive cruise control, the technology will go a long way in making mainstream drivers more comfortable with letting machines take over. On a separate front, GM is pushing ahead with fully autonomous vehicles and announced last month that it plans to launch of fleets of self-driving robo-taxis in several urban areas in 2019. While most automakers are also in the race to make autonomous cars a reality, GM's turbocharging of its efforts appeared to be in response to Waymo, which announced just weeks earlier that its Early Rider Program in the Phoenix area would go completely driverless. The Early Rider Program launched last April, offering the public a chance to ride in Waymo's autonomous Chrysler Pacifica minivans. In this new phase of testing, Waymo is using its own employees as guinea pigs instead of the public while the vehicles operate without a human behind the wheel, and takes another giant step forward for fully autonomous driving.
