2005 Cadillac Cts Sport Package. 2.8l 6 Speed Manual Transmission! 97.5k Miles! on 2040-cars
Springfield, Missouri, United States
This is a very nice car! I have done quite a bit to it, it was just your ordinary well taken care of and well maintained Cadillac CTS when I bought it. I do have all the stock wheels/tires to go with this car, as well as the stock stereo. List of extra's added to this car: - 20" Dolce universal lug rims with Capitol tires. (rear fenders have been professionally rolled so there is no rub at all) also the rear springs have 2" spacers in them which makes the car sit a bit higher which gives it a nice look. The offset of the rims also makes the wheels stick out about a quarter inch which looks really good. - HID lighting all around (Headlamps, taillight bulb, reverse lights, and all interior bulbs). Really brightens up the car at night! All professionally installed. - Window tint all around, 5% rear and back windshield (HID reverse lamps allow you to still have night vision when backing up) and 35% front windows. All professionally installed. - Aftermarket Bluetooth 7 inch pioneer DvD touchscreen head unit. Easy hands free calling, as well as wireless Bluetooth audio (music on your phone). Has a microphone installed by visor for phone, and a bypass switch for watching movies in the front seat near the gas pedal just under the dash. - 2 12" Rockford Fosgate P2 series subwoofers in a ported box. The car has 97,500 miles on it, and has no mechanical issues at all. It has recently had an oil change, and there won't be anything needing done on this car for a while including regular maintenance. It's ready to go, all it needs is you driving it! |

Want to beat LA traffic? Chargers QB Philip Rivers has found a way
Wed, Sep 6 2017Slogging through traffic in Southern California is about as pleasurable as being slowly eaten by bears or being the awkward third wheel on a bad first date. It feels like it's never going to end. After the team relocated to Los Angeles from San Diego, Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers decided that three hours wasted each day in a car was too much. As The San Diego Union-Tribune reports, Rivers' rolling office makes his days more productive than ever. After deciding that he wasn't going to relocate his family to Orange County, Rivers was stuck with the prospect of either spending considerably less time with his children or skipping out on much-needed film work at the team's training facility (not really an option given his profession). Instead, he began investigating a number of options to make his lengthened commute slightly more viable and productive. First, he considered carpooling with a teammate. That was still too much of a pain. He looked at flying a helicopter, but unless it could land close to both his home and the practice field, it too was useless. A quick online search eventually led to the rolling footage review room you see here. Becker Automotive Design in Oxnard, Calif., builds these rolling offices for a wide range of customers. It sells modified Mercedes-Benz Sprinters, Ford Transits, and, in Rivers' case, a Cadillac Escalade with a raised roof. His needs were simple: a television and an HDMI input so he can hook up his computer. No fancy armor or recumbent exercise bicycle. His goal was to review game footage on his commute rather than slowly waste away behind the wheel of a car. Photos show a sea of leather and wood and a mini fridge, so it's not totally without niceties. Column | Philip Rivers' new ride allows him to stay home https://t.co/btwCEgIsFq pic.twitter.com/DHud3ho5UF — The Union-Tribune (@sdut) September 5, 2017 The Union-Tribune lists the price of the Escalade at about $200,000. That's not including the driver's salary. In 2015, Rivers signed a four-year deal with the Chargers worth $84 million, so he's not hurting for cash. If it increases productivity and saves the headache of being behind the wheel in traffic, we can imagine more people with means (and not just quarterbacks) will be opting for such daily transport. Cadillac ATS-V shares track time and new face with CTS-V sibling
Tue, 24 Jun 2014It's been about eight months since we last heard anything on the eagerly anticipated Cadillac ATS-V, meaning it was high time a new batch of photos arrived of the twin-turbocharged, V6-powered sedan.
This latest round includes a shot of the hot ATS-V alongside the upcoming CTS-V, allowing us to glimpse through the camouflage and spot the family resemblance between the two über sedans. According to our spies, this is the first time we've gotten a look at the ATS-V's fascia without a nose bra to obscure larger details. This isn't the first time we've seen a vertically slated grille on an in-development Cadillac V car, although it is the first time we've seen it on the ATS-V. Aside from the main grille, the shapes of the sportier front fascia of the ATS-V tie in nicely with its big brother. We are rather curious about the hood on the ATS-V. It's difficult to tell from these images, but it looks like there may be some vents up there that may be meant to improve cooling to the alleged 425-horsepower engine.
Other details that we can see include swollen fenders and larger wheels that hide amplified brakes. The rear of the car remains heavily obscured by camo, with the sole details of note being the quad exhausts, which we've spotted on previous ATS-V prototypes.
How GM's grueling 24-hour test gets the kinks out of its performance cars
Tue, 27 Aug 2013One of the biggest challenges automakers face when designing a high-performance car is making sure that it is both fast and reliable. For General Motors, any car that might be taken to the track by its owner - like the Corvette, Camaro Z/28 (shown above) and the Cadillac CTS-V, for example - undergoes a rigorous and strenuous 24-hour test by engineers at the Milford Proving Grounds, as pointed out by Car and Driver.
We've posted on this topic in the past - on a video showing the Camaro ZL1 being brutalized, for instance - but this article gives a more in-depth look at what actually happens behind the scenes... including what that poor ZL1 went through. Though the test isn't for 24 hours straight, the cars are pushed as hard as possible by some of GM's best drivers with only the brakes and tires replaced frequently.
We don't want to ruin the fun for you, but it is an interesting article that tells just some of what GM does to develop its sports cars. Check out the full article over at Car and Driver for the rest of the story.
