2004 Cadillac Cts - Recently Wrecked - Fixer Upper Or For Parts - No Reserve! on 2040-cars

You are looking at a 2004 Cadillac CTS. We are selling this "as-is, where-is." This car was in good shape until it was in an accident a few weeks ago. A customer was driving on the highway after a snowstorm and hit some black ice and bounced off the barriers (thankfully no injuries or property damage). The title is clean and we have not turned it into insurance to avoid premium increases, so we would like to offer this for sale with no reserve to the highest bidder as a fixer upper or parts car. Most (but not all) of the damage is to the front and right rear quarter. Please look at the pics carefully for all of the damage. 135,822 miles. It has a 3.2L V-6 with an 5 speed manual transmission (rear wheel drive). The car ran & drove good before the accident. The rear tires are like new. The interior is nice leather, clean & loaded. The driver's seat has some minor rips (see pics). It has A/C, CD player, cruise, power windows, locks, mirrors, and heated leather seats. This car would make someone a really nice ride if you're inclined to fix it up, or can be parted out. Cadillac toned down ATS Coupe design due to customer feedback [w/poll]
Tue, 02 Sep 2014Automakers always face a difficult decision when it comes to styling their cars. Design them too blandly and nobody will get excited about them. But style them too aggressively and they'll often end up turning off potential buyers.
Cadillac, for its part, is no stranger to aggressive design, but when it came to the new ATS Coupe, it elected to tone things down a bit. Speaking with The Detroit News in a wide-ranging interview, Cadillac design director Bob Boniface revealed that the original design for its compact coupe was edgier - closer to that of the CTS Coupe - with a wedgier profile, a more steeply raked beltline and a more severe grille. But potential customers surveyed in clinics apparently didn't like it. They found it looked heavy, inefficient and not fun to drive. So Boniface and his team literally went back to the drawing board and "took as much visual mass out of the car as [they] could." The resulting coupe, while handsome, looks far more similar to its four-door companion than did Cadillac's CTS.
