The bodies of these cars were designed and built by the world renowned Italian design firm Pininfarina, who are also the designers behind some of Ferrari's greatest models. This particular Allante is a was sold new at Lindsay Cadillac in Virginia, but came to California not long after. It has been senior owned and has been well cared for, and always garaged. It is rare to find these with this kind of low mileage because once you drive this car you won?t want to get out. The convertible top is like new and seals up very well. Overall the exterior appearance of this car is a 9 out of 10. The interior is in great shape all around. The leather seats are all in very good condition with no tares or rips and extremely minimal wear to the driver seat which shows the quality of leather used in this car. The dash and door panels are also in like new condition. The carpets are all very nice and have been professionally cleaned. The floor mats are in good shape for their age, and are custom embroidered. All dials and controls function as they should. The sound system is also very nice with the Premium sound and both the CD and Cassette player work great. Overall the interior appearance of the car is a 9 out of 10.
Mechanically, this Allante runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts smooth as silk. It drives as good now as the day it rolled of the lot. The eight cylinder engine is quick and responsive, all while being very fuel efficient. The climate control system works correct and blows both Ice Cold as well as nice and toasty Warm. The car just received a oil change and a once over by a 25yr Cadillac dealer tech and was given the green light. Car is tight and right with no leaks to speak of. All in all, this is one of the cleanest and nicest Allante's that we have had the privilege of being associated with. It has been professionally maintained and truly loved by its previous owners. This Cadillac is a fantastic car for the price and includes every option offered in this car. Cadillac SRX production moving to TN, next-gen Equinox going to Mexico
Fri, 29 Aug 2014It's a good week for the town of Spring Hill, TN, as General Motors has announced that its factory in the city of 31,000 will receive a $185 million contract to produce engines. On top of that, the next-generation Cadillac SRX crossover will be built at the factory (NA models are presently built in Ramos, Arizpe Mexico), which was once famous for being the home of GM's now-defunct Saturn brand.
The factory is one of GM's six facilities around the globe that will screw together the company's new line of three- and four-cylinder Ecotec engines. Spring Hill currently builds the 2.0-liter, turbocharged Ecotec, as well as the naturally aspirated 2.4 and 2.5-liter variants.
Spring Hill's vehicle assembly lines were idled in 2009, but were reactivated in 2011. The SRX is just one of the products meant to benefit from last year's $350-million investment, and should have a positive impact, creating or retaining around 1,800 positions at the factory.

We're talking serious performance, and it will be exhibited in a variety of forms. Sports cars. Supercars. Muscle-bound luxury cars. They're all set for splashy debuts in January in the Motor City. It's another signpost that companies have recovered from the global economic crisis that gripped the industry from 2008-09. For a while, automakers played it safe at Detroit and other shows. Environmentally friendly cars were important, especially for General Motors and Chrysler that were living on loans from Uncle Sam. Ford, Toyota and other companies generally focused on their best-selling or core models. With a few notable exceptions, recent auto shows have been a bit more buttoned-down than in the past. Boring probably isn't the right word, but austerity has been reality. That's changing. Car companies are making money. Sales are up. Aside from the many nagging recalls – and they are notable – the industry now has the time and energy to make performance cars a priority. That will be offered in hard evidence in Detroit. A year from now when we look back at this auto show, we'll sum it up with one word: Horsepower. But make no mistake, this isn't frivolous. Sports and luxury cars are expensive. They're profitable. They boost images and highlight strengths. With that in mind, here are five significant performance-oriented reveals to watch for when the show kicks off in less than two weeks. 2016 Acura NSX Acura's reborn NSX is a strong bet to earn plenty of votes for our Editors' Choice awards. It's one of the most anticipated – and strung-out – reveals of the year. Think back: we actually saw an NSX concept at the 2012 Detroit show, and Acura has spent the last three years teasing the car in a variety of ways. The slow burn, however, means we know a lot about the NSX. It's will use a mid-mounted twin-turbo hybrid powertrain and run with all-wheel drive. It will also wear an innovative zirconium e-coat paint, a new paint process that Honda says is more environmentally friendly. Honda has also said it will build the new NSX in Ohio, where a large part of the car's development work has been done. The original NSX was produced from 1990-2005 and helped establish Acura's performance credentials in the United States. It was a landmark car and a shot across the bow of Ferrari, Lamborghini and others.
Cadillac developing stretched ATS-L just for China
Sat, 25 Jan 2014To luxury automakers, long-wheelbase sedans are to China that crossovers and SUVs are to the US, so it isn't all that surprising any more when the latest sedan gets an extra couple of inches between the wheels to improve rear-seat comfort. According to Car News China, the next sedan to get the stretch will be the Cadillac ATS, which will increase the wheelbase by 10 centimeters (about four inches) to become the ATS-L.
Designed to go up against rivals like the BMW 335Li and the added-length Mercedes C-Class, the ATS-L will reportedly be built locally in China with an engine list that will grow as well. Currently, only the 2.0-liter turbo engine is offered in the ATS in China, but the ATS-L will get the full spectrum of ATS engines including the base 2.5-liter and the peppier 3.6-liter V6. This isn't the first time Cadillac has offered a China-specific stretched sedan either as the SLS dates back to 2006.
