THIS IS A DECENT LITTLE CAR, IT WAS TO BE MY TRAVEL THE COUNTRY CAR. I HAD BEEN LOOKING FOR ONE FOR QUITE A WHILE BUT WHAT I REALLY WANTED WAS A BLACK WITH BLACK INTERIOR, COULDN'T FIND ONE SO I SETTLED FOR THIS ONE, ONLY HAD IT ABOUT A MONTH WHEN I FOUND A BLACK ON BLACK (naturally.....Murphy's Law!!!) THAT I PREFER SO I AM SELLING THIS ONE FOR THAT ONE!!!! SHE HAS A NEW BATTERY, ALMOST NEW TOP (about 6 months old) 90% LEFT ON TIRES, REMAN TOP PULL DOWN MOTOR, ONLY A LITTLE OVER 96,000 MILES, VERY DECENT BODY JUST SMALL, TO BE EXPECTED DINGS, BLOWS COLD AIR, POWER SEATS AND WINDOWS WORK WELL, RUNS AND SHIFTS VERY WELL AND DRIVES & HANDLES LIKE A DREAM. SHE'S JUST A NICE LITTLE CAR!!!! OTHER THAN REBUILDING TWO SPEAKERS (each has their own amp built in) THE RADIO PLAYS BUT ONLY THROUGH TWO SPEAKERS.... General Motors laid out ambitious plans on Wednesday to become the world's "most valued automotive company," a goal it says it can reach by strengthening its business in China, rebuilding the Cadillac luxury brand and fixing the foundering GM Europe operations.
2014 Cadillac XTS Vsport
Mon, 30 Sep 2013Not long after bombing around the Milford Road Course in the new CTS Vsport, Cadillac invited me to try out its other new-for-2014 Vsport model: the XTS. And despite using the same twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 from the CTS, the Vsport package takes on a whole new meaning here in Cadillac's softer flagship.
In the CTS, this trim perfectly bridges the gap between the standard models and the hardcore CTS-V, and is focused on being the best-driving version of the range without a standalone V badge. The XTS, however, has no proper V model, so the Vsport becomes the new range-topper for that line by default. But unlike the CTS Vsport, which uses rear-wheel-drive architecture and is focused on driving dynamics above all, the XTS is geared toward a much different customer.
The entire XTS experience is far more concerned with plush comfort than handling prowess, and while this Vsport model certainly ups the ante with more power and some mild suspension and steering tweaks, it's not exactly what we'd call a particularly engaging experience. But that doesn't mean it isn't good.
Cadillac sales chief Peffer resigns amidst slow sales
Fri, 20 Jun 2014Cadillac continues to hemorrhage executives, as it's just seen its fourth high-level departure in the past year. Vice President of Global Strategic Development Don Butler (who defected to Ford) and European President and Managing Director Susan Docherty both left the company of their own volition, while Chase Hawkins, Cadillac's vice president of sales and service, was fired following a "violation of policy" in July of 2013. Strangely, it's Hawkins' replacement, Bill Peffer (shown above), who has handed in his papers this time around.
"Bill left to pursue other interests. Kurt McNeil replaces him, effective immediately," spokesman David Caldwell told Autoblog via email.
McNeil last held the VP of sales and service position back in 2012. He's currently the vice president of US sales for all of General Motors. According to The Detroit News, McNeil will take on the post in what is likely an interim capacity.
