1989 Cadillac Allante on 2040-cars
Freeport, Illinois, United States
1989 Cadillac Allante! Comes with hardtop, 75000 miles. It has new brakes, chrome wheels with great tires. Recent service, ready to enjoy summer with top down! Paint is a 8 out of 10, interior is probably 7 out of 10. Visors don't stay up, can get a fix for that here on ebay for about $90. Antilock brakes are disabled, common on these. This one is disabled because it needs a rt ft speed sensor at the wheel. I never fixed it because i doesn't bother me. It has a small dent on the left door at the moulding area. I had a local shop look at it and he quoted me a couple hundred to fix it, and he does very good work. I don't know if the A/C works I have never used it, the DIC says it is low on refridgerant. If you are looking for a perfect car than this one is not for you, if you are looking for a good investment to enjoy this could be what you are looking for. My reserve is low, I am easy to get along with and will help with your shipping needs as much as possible. Just remember shipping is your responsibility. Any questions ask don't assume anything. Phone or text 815-297-5558, please when calling let me know what you are calling or texting about. Payment in full is required before it leaves unless you are picking it up in person then CASH at that point. A $500 deposit is nonrefundable and due at conclusion of auction. Feel free to come take a look at car. I will end early if it sells or reasonable offer is accepted and terms are met. Illinois buyers are required to pay tax and title at time of purchase.

Cadillac XT3 caught covered in copious camouflage
Wed, Feb 15 2017While a bit difficult to tell thanks to the impressive camouflage used, what we're looking at here is likely the upcoming Cadillac XT3. There are a few details that stand out to lend credence to this prediction. There are a handful of sharp angles scattered throughout that are in line with Cadillac's modern design language. Specifically in the LED running lights and on the side mirrors. The rear profile also is reminiscent of the current, and slightly larger XT5. The rear lights extend into the D-pillars, which would match the current Escalade. We get a pretty clear picture of the rear suspension on this XT3. It's clearly an independent rear suspension using coil springs. While General Motors uses independent suspension on some of its crossovers, we can't quite match it to a particular model. We believe that if the XT3 is based on an existing model (which it almost certainly is), the platform and suspension have been substantially modified. The XT3 could use a version of the D2XX platform that underpins the Buick Envision. However, we know from a previous report that the XT3 will likely be built at the factory that produces the Buick LaCrosse and Chevy Malibu. The XT5 uses a modified version of the LaCrosse/Malibu platform, so it's possible the XT3 could use a shorter version of the XT5 chassis. Depending on how small the XT3 ends up being, it might even share a platform with the Chevy Trax and Buick Encore. However, considering their economy car roots and torsion-bar rear suspension, we think that's the least likely. Regardless of what chassis is underneath its crisp bodywork, we expect the XT3 to be released sometime next year. Related Video:
This '59 Cadillac is now on display at Toyota's museum in Japan
Tue, Dec 20 2016The Toyota Automobile Museum is different from a lot of other automaker collections in one very interesting way: It doesn't focus solely on Toyota's own automobiles. While the home team is certainly well represented, the love is spread to plenty of non-Toyota brands and vehicles that are significant to automotive history. And that permanent collection now includes the 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible you see here. Yes, the '59 Caddy has the biggest tail fins ever, which makes it measurably significant. You still wouldn't expect to see it in a museum in Japan, though. After updates to the facility and its exhibits finish early next year, the 67-vehicle collection will also include such greats as a Renault 5 (known here as the Le Car), a '64 Ford Mustang, an Audi Quattro, a first-gen Honda Insight, and a Lotus Elite. Someone over there has good taste. You can visit the Toyota Automobile Museum the next time you're in Nagakute City, which is right outside Nagoya. We're booking our tickets now. Jay Leno welcomes a 2016 Cadillac CTS-V into the garage
Tue, Nov 17 2015After checking out a multitude of classic cars and customs over the past few weeks, Jay Leno switches things up with a modern performance machine in the latest video from the garage – a 2016 Cadillac CTS-V. Leno is curious about Caddy's attempt to challenge the BMW M5 and Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S, and he takes a long, technical look at the sedan with chief engineer David Leone. Not content to just peek under the hood, Leno puts the CTS-V up on the rack to see what it packs underneath the svelte body. Once he gets the lowdown on the Caddy's engineering, it's time for a drive. Leno also flexes his interviewing skills while behind the wheel and gets even more info about the CTS-V's capabilities from Leone. He seems fairly impressed, but Leno's most entertaining question about the 640-horsepower sedan is whether it can do a burnout. He provides a definitive answer to that at the end of the clip.
