I am selling a 2006 Buick Terrazza Handicapped Accessible Minivan. The van was purchased from Bussami Motors in Bethpage, NY, a place only dealing with conversions. My mom was the 2nd owner of this van. It is equipped with an electric Braun foldout ramp on the side of the van. Braun is known to make the best ramp conversions for vans. The van can lower itself when necessary for the ramp to function. No need search for any "handicap" ramps in parking lots. All you need is a curb, or just the street for the wheelchair to easily go down the ramp and arrive safely. The passenger side is empty (no seat), waiting for the wheelchair to roll right up and be part of the ride. The person in the wheelchair will be up front with the driver so he/she feels connected, not "put in the back separately" as other vans require. There are tie downs to link the chair with the van for safety and a smooth ride.  This van is loaded. Everything is powered, seats, windows, rear doors. and there is a CD player, DVD player, touch screen radio and navigator and rear climate controls. I bought this for my mom who felt very isolated when she became wheelchair bound. It was difficult transporting her in my regular car. This van opened up a new life for her. I was able to take her out to the movies, shopping, doctor's appointments without having to think twice if it was manageable, it was so easy.

Sale only through Paypal. If you are serious about purchasing the van I will send you a Paypal link for security.

Worth every penny! If interested we can set up a meet for you to see the van. I am located in Western Suffolk County on long island.

A Nice, New Buick Aims For Middle Of The Road
Any time someone describes some portion of a car or a driving experience as being "nice," I want to either A) throttle them or B) run as fast and as far as I can from that vehicle. "Nice" is among the most insidious words in the English language - at best it's vague, and at worst, it conveys the exact opposite of its literal meaning. Yet it seems to be used with damnable frequency when it comes to verbally illustrating vehicles. "It looks really nice," or "These seats feel nice," or, heaven forefend, "It's got a nice ride," are all windy signifiers of absolutely nothing resembling a concrete opinion. "Nice" is the adjectival equivalent of meekly smiling and nodding your head.
Of course, I'm as guilty as the next person of having thrown English's least powerful descriptor around. There's even a chance that, rant aside, you'll catch me making nice in reviews to come. That's fine, but you should know that when you stumble upon such usage, past or future, that you've found a sentence in which I'm simply applying a bare minimum of effort to the task.

GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC

Sun, 06 Oct 2013

American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.

Buick Envision aces IIHS crash tests

Tue, Sep 27 2016

If you had any qualms about the safety of a Chinese-built car, set them aside. At least when it comes to the Buick Envision. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has tested the new GM crossover and it passed with flying colors. The Envision is the first Chinese-built Buick sold in the States, and it's also the first Chinese-built car the organization has ever tested. In what is an impressive feat for any new automobile, it earned the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating. This means the crossover comes equipped with a forward collision warning system and earned "Good" marks in all types of collisions, including the difficult small overlap crash test. In addition to the forward collision warning system, an automatic emergency braking system is available on the Envision. Eleven other vehicles earned the TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating, including models from Volvo, Lincoln, Acura, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus and Infiniti. That's good company, and combined with a pleasant, if not world-beating, driving experience, should make the Envision a car worth consideration. Related Video:
