BARN FIND !!! 1972 BUICK SKYLARK GS STAGE 1 2 Door Hardtop Stratomist Blue Poly exterior, Black bucket seat interior.. Steering column shift. Possibly a 3 owner CA car. Stored inside since 1999 and before. 2nd owner had the engine done by Kenny Bell . This Buick GS Stage 1 is one of approximately 720 built in 1972. This unit came from the factory as a 2 door hardtop with power steering, power brakes, automatic transmission, factory air conditioning, and cruise control. History info from the second owner stated the engine developed a noise and he removed it from the engine compartment. Upon disassembly of the engine a piston upper ring land had broken. The engine will need new pistons and the new owner can decide to build the engine to the 1972 spec. or the 1970 spec. The air conditioning compressor is still hooked up as is the power steering pump in the engine compartment. This Buick GS Stage 1 has a Clear CA title. 2015 Buick Verano offered with six-speed manual after all

Good news, boys and girls (well, at least those of you who still like shifting for yourselves). Buick got in touch with us to correct some information that it had mistakenly announced; namely, that the 2015 Verano will lose its optional six-speed manual transmission. Apparently, that announcement was incorrect, and the compact sedan will indeed continue to offer a manual option for 2015, despite what we're certain is a low take rate. Additionally, the Desert Dusk Metallic paint that was said to come as part of an Appearance Package is no longer part of the deal. GM cutting production at two plants

General Motors is continuing to adjust to excess supply of some of its brands' models. To get production more in line with the vehicles' actual demand, the automotive giant is idling two of its factories in North America in the coming months. The Orion Assembly plant is going to be down from March 9-13, according to an anonymous plant worker and another insider speaking to Automotive News. The factory builds the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano, but there are plenty of both models sitting on dealer lots, including 216 days worth of Sonics, according to AN. The factory already had two idle periods announced to reduce the excess. In addition, downtime is scheduled at GM's "Flex" line at the Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, plant from April 13-17. This affects supply of the Chevrolet Camaro, Impala, Buick Regal and Cadillac XTS. Among them, the automotive giant has the largest supply of Regals ready for dealers with 213 days worth of them, according to AN. The future for the whole Oshawa factory is cloudy in general, though. There are rumors that it could close entirely in the future because the Camaro is leaving and the Regal and XTS might not last much longer than 2017. The Canadian government and the labor union there intend to put up a fight, though.
