1972 Buick Skylark Custom Convertible, 350 engine 350 transmission, this is a project car, does not run, engine has been removed but will be put back into car before it is picked up. This is an all drum brake, non power window or door lock car. It does have Air conditioning The bad: It needs a new top, paint, tires, rear floors and seat pan. It also needs quarter panel replacement, door patching, and trunk patching metal work. The good: Car comes with a spare front bench seat, metal dash and gauges, extra door windows, wiring harnesses, and windshield. The United States Patent and Trademark Office is a treasure trove for auto enthusiasts, especially those who double as conspiracy theorists.
Why has Toyota applied to trademark "Supra," the name of one of its legendary sports cars, even though it hasn't sold one in the United States in 16 years? Why would General Motors continue to register "Chevelle" long after one of the most famous American muscle cars hit the end of the road? Buick GN and GNX will return
GM recalling 2013 Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac SRX over transmission software
Thu, 21 Mar 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued recalls for the 2013 Buick LaCrosse and 2013 Cadillac SRX due to a problem with the software for the transmission controller. On about 27,000 SRX and LaCrosse models, the transmission could accidentally be shifted to Sport mode, which would reduce the amount of engine braking drivers experience.
NHTSA says this could increase the risk of a crash, but, fortunately, the required fix is simply an update to the software.
While we're on the subject of General Motors vehicle recalls, a small number (48) of compressed natural gas versions of the 2011 Chevrolet Express are also being recalled for a potential risk of fire or explosion. Yikes. Both official recall notices are posted below.
