1965 Buick Skylark - Great Shape - A-body - Solid - V8 3 Speed On Thetree on 2040-cars
Cranston, Rhode Island, United States
Spring is here and it's almost time for the car shows! This is your
chance to own a piece of GM automotive history, the A-Body 1965 Buick
Skylark. This same framework is shared amongst the Chevrolet Chevelle,
Chevrolet El Camino, Buick Special, Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, and
Pontiac Tempest. This allows for the availability of hundreds of
inexpensive aftermarket parts. Although the car is not perfect after
aging 50 years, it is in better shape than many other cars that are 10
years old on Craigslist. It has been garaged in the past and well taken
care of. It comes with a bill of sale and clear title.
300 V8 with 3 Speed on the column - Runs smooth / shifts with no issues. Slight oil leak from intake manifold, but does not effect drive-ability and the leak is small. 4 Door Sedan Car is extremely straight and solid - frame, floors, trunk, and body are rot free except for a small section along of the rear quarter. Typical dings from 50 years of use but very presentable as a driver. Interior is 100% intact - Front seat has splits but is presentable, headliner has stains from age but is in nice shape, carpets are almost perfect due to full OEM all weather mats which are included with the car. Everything works - locks, windows, radio, speedometer, lights, etc Optional accessories such as remote trunk release, flashlight, and tissue box holder Brakes were recently done and tires have good tread. Car drives straight and is peppy. Call me with any questions or for more information. Please no low ball insulting offers. You will not find another running, driving, A-Body classic like this for this price. Jonathan 401-559-7007 |

Buick Envision aces IIHS crash tests
Tue, Sep 27 2016If you had any qualms about the safety of a Chinese-built car, set them aside. At least when it comes to the Buick Envision. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has tested the new GM crossover and it passed with flying colors. The Envision is the first Chinese-built Buick sold in the States, and it's also the first Chinese-built car the organization has ever tested. In what is an impressive feat for any new automobile, it earned the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating. This means the crossover comes equipped with a forward collision warning system and earned "Good" marks in all types of collisions, including the difficult small overlap crash test. In addition to the forward collision warning system, an automatic emergency braking system is available on the Envision. Eleven other vehicles earned the TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating, including models from Volvo, Lincoln, Acura, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus and Infiniti. That's good company, and combined with a pleasant, if not world-beating, driving experience, should make the Envision a car worth consideration. Related Video:
Buick: Odell Beckham Jr.
Mon, Feb 8 2016An Opel droptop in Buick drag crashes a wedding. No one's quite sure who made the Cascada, but Emily Ratajkowski definitely got the bouquet. She channels Odell Beckham Jr., laying out to make the catch – and conveniently Beckham is actually there to jokingly shoot her down. Did Buick nail this one, or was it (as Beckham quips) "out of bounds?" Let us know.
Texas sues GM, saying it tricked customers into sharing driving data sold to insurers
Wed, Aug 14 2024Texas filed a lawsuit Tuesday against GM over years of alleged abuse of customers' data and trust. New car owners were presented with a "confusing and highly misleading" process that was implied to be for their safety, but "was no more than a deceptively designed sales flow" that surrendered their data for GM to sell. The suit contends that at no point was selling driving data ever even suggested as a possibility, putting GM in violation of the state's consumer protection laws. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is seeking a jury trial and at least $10,000 per offense (every GM car sold in the state since 2015) and a hefty add-on of $250,000 in cases where the victim was over 65. Texas seems to be flying high after a recent $1.4 billion settlement from Meta over other privacy concerns. This may well be a way to solve any pending budgetary issues in the Lone Star State.
